58: Chapter 58 The Most Crisis-ridden Tycoon in HistoryFu Hao brought Helm, the Knight Order, and the excavation team back to Lepis Territory in just 5 seconds using the teleportation gem—a journey that took 5 hours to arrive was now so short it felt surreal.

The viewers lamented that ”using a teleportation gem to bring the Knight Order was too wasteful,” but Fu Hao, whose mind was filled with ”successful apprenticeship,” turned a deaf ear.

As soon as they returned to the territory, he and Helm headed straight to the lord’s private training room. This secret room, protected by a magic circle, could not be entered by anyone without permission.

”Then, let the inheritance begin.” Helm could not hide his excitement.

[Legendary Knight Helm has submitted an apprenticeship application to you. Accepting it will change your class to a new one. Do you accept?]

Unlike the first time, there was no warning that the ”Enhancement Master class will disappear.”

”Accept.”

Fu Hao did not hesitate—in otherworld, is there any single class stronger than ”Helm’s Disciple”? Even if one existed, the probability of him obtaining it was minimal, let alone a Knight-type class.

Helm’s hand pressed against Fu Hao’s back, and a system notification popped up:

[Accept Helm’s application]

[Class change in progress... Time remaining: 1 hour 25 minutes...]

”... 1 hour 25 minutes? What class takes so long?” Fu Hao muttered—since he had enabled the livestream-exclusive voice mode, he didn’t have to worry about Helm hearing him.

[”Pajamas” donated 50 yuan. — (As expected of a legend, even a class change takes this long)]

The reason for the long class change time had nothing to do with class strength, but rather because Helm’s class inheritance belonged to the ”one person, one lineage” category.

Helm mastered and developed skills by inheriting the ”Unknown Power,” and taking an apprentice meant passing this power on to Fu Hao. Although Helm could no longer improve his skills after the inheritance, he had reached the pinnacle ten years ago and had no regrets.

An hour later, the viewers were already tired of chatting about ”what class name/skills Helm’s disciple would have,” and Fu Hao was also restless because he couldn’t check the Subspace treasures. Finally, the long class change time ended, and the long-awaited notification box popped up:

[Class changed to hidden class ”Legendary Guardian Knight”]

[Generated ”Guardian Power” skill]

[Generated ”Guardian Shield” skill]

[Generated ”Taunt” skill]

[Generated ”Mount Tai” skill]

[Generated ”Shield Charge” skill]

[Generated ”Spatial Slash” skill]

[Generated ”Earth Shatter” skill]

[Generated ”Sword Mastery” skill]

[Generated ”Spearmanship Mastery” skill]

[Generated ”Shield Mastery” skill]

[Generated ”Medium Armor Mastery” skill]

- ”The class name has ’Legendary’.”

- ”Guardian Knight?”

- ”Isn’t it the strongest? Why is it called Guardian?”

Fu Hao was indifferent to the class name and went straight to the skill details. 7 active skills, 4 mastery passive skills; the quantity was no different from an ordinary class, but more would be unlocked after the 300-level second awakening. For now, there was no need to dwell on the quantity; the key was performance.

”Oh... wow... damn... holy sh*t?”

Every time he looked at a skill, Fu Hao let out a meaningful exclamation.

[”Class” donated 50 yuan. — (Show us already!)]

- ”If you don’t show us, we’re unfollowing!”

- ”You’re actually looking at it secretly!”

Seeing that the viewers were getting anxious, Fu Hao selected ”Earth Shatter,” which Helm had used before, to display:

Type: Active Grade: Legendary Lv.1 Cooldown: 30 seconds Cost: 2500 Mana ·Slam your weapon into the ground, overturning the terrain in a straight line up to 22 meters ahead, dealing 275% of base attack damage to all enemies.

- ”The cooldown is a bit long, right?”

- ”Holy sh*t!” ×999

The screen was flooded with ”Holy sh*t,” causing a delay in the chat within 5 seconds. A Level 1 skill with a 22-meter range and 275% damage, even with a 30-second cooldown and 2500 mana cost, was still considered monstrous—if Fu Hao were an ordinary Level 100 player, he wouldn’t be able to use it at all, but he had balanced all his stats through title bonuses, and the abundant mana brought by high intelligence made the only remaining issue the ”cooldown.”

- ”Greedy.”

- ”Still not satisfied with this?”

- ”God-tier skill! Suggest going to solo a BOSS immediately.”

Unfortunately, none of the viewers empathized with Fu Hao’s ”trouble,” so he turned to look at Helm.

He was gazing at him with eyes full of emotion.

”Master... your disciple has finally done it!”

Helm sensed the ”Unknown Power” flowing within Fu Hao and confirmed that the inheritance was complete. Fu Hao, who knew Helm’s backstory, also felt a lump in his throat because of his reaction: ten years of searching for an apprentice in vain, and now finally achieving his wish; how precious this feeling was.

”Master!”

”Disciple!”

[”Parasol” donated 50 yuan. — (It’s starting again!)]

Fu Hao rushed over and hugged Helm, and at the same time, the task completion notification popped up:

[Completed ”Helm’s Persistence” task]

[Helm’s affinity increased to ”Trust”]

[Helm’s tracking terminated]

”Master... I’ve kept you waiting for a long time, I’m sorry. From now on, I will inherit your will, so you can rest at ease.”

”That won’t do.” Helm shook his head decisively.

”Phew.” Fu Hao let out a sigh of relief as if he had succeeded; if the other party really ”retired after success,” he would be the one with a headache.

”In that case, can you assist me in developing the territory?” Hao got straight to the point.

- ”After recruiting Helm, there will be 3 Legendary-grade NPCs in the territory.”

- ”What is the effect of recruiting a Legendary Knight?”

- ”He has to be both a master and a tool.”

Facing Hao’s recruitment proposal, Helm pondered for a moment before speaking:

”Disciple, I know you want to develop the territory, but I do not want you to neglect your personal training because of territory development.”

This sudden lecture made Hao’s heart tighten, fearing that the other party would go back on taking him as an apprentice.

”However, developing the territory might promote training. So...” Helm changed the subject, ”I have a proposal. You know Leonhardt, right? Defeat him, and I will unconditionally obey any of your orders.”

Before he could finish speaking, a task notification box popped up:

[Helm’s Showing Off]

Difficulty: Immeasurable

Because Legendary Knight Helm has taken you as his apprentice, his resentment toward Leonhardt has largely dissipated, but he still wants to prove that his disciple is stronger than Leonhardt. He demands that you defeat Leonhardt as a condition for his loyalty; failure in the duel will lead to task failure.

- Completion condition: Defeat the player ranked 1st in combat, ”Leonhardt,” in a duel.

- Completion reward: Helm’s loyalty contract.

- Failure penalty: Helm’s affinity drops to ”Friendly.”

- ”Something big is about to happen!”

- ”Leonhardt must die!”

- ”Look at Hao’s expression!”

[”Leon Fu Hao” donated 50 yuan. — (Leonhardt vs Fu Hao, let’s go!)]

[”Brother Hao is the eternal god” donated 50 yuan. — (Hahahaha, time to learn a lesson, right?)]

[”Rachel” donated 50 yuan. — (Damn!)]

[”Jin Hao” donated 50 yuan. — (If the duel is successful, there’s a chance to refresh the highest number of viewers in history!)]

With the screen full of donations and the viewers in a frenzy, Hao stared at the notification, completely dumbfounded—he had planned to surpass Leonhardt’s combat power ranking, but had never thought about a direct duel.

Leonhardt was the recognized ”inviolable monster player.” He had never made his stat panel public, but the fact that he had long remained firmly in first place on the combat power ranking was enough to prove that his stats far exceeded those of other top players.

Especially after Fu Hao exposed the effect of the ”Novice Trial” title, players had even higher expectations for Leonhardt’s stats.

What was even more terrifying was that Leonhardt’s core advantage was not his stats, but his operation. Fu Hao believed that under equal conditions, no matter how many duels were fought, no one could defeat Leonhardt.

And the biggest difficulty was knowing nothing about Leonhardt’s stats—even if Leonhardt was strong, as long as one could prepare specifically, there might be a chance of winning, but ”unknown” made all strategies empty talk.

”Sorry to disappoint everyone, I don’t even know where Leonhardt is...”

Thinking of this, his stiff expression gradually softened; although it was a pity not to be able to recruit Helm, it was better than being beaten up by Leonhardt on the livestream.

”You don’t need to worry about that.” Helm’s old face flushed red, ”I received a challenge letter when I just returned to the territory. I heard that Leonhardt has already become the disciple of another legend, so we will likely see him at the Legendary Assembly. If you hadn’t agreed to become my disciple, I almost went to grab him by the scruff of his neck for a duel, hahaha... disciple?”

Fu Hao completely petrified.
