Beastmaster of the Ages

Imperator Yin had killed one of the five imperatores of the alliance back at Deva Imperius. Zi Zhen then finished off the remaining four. However, there were still quite a number of cosmic gods left.

Some of them chose to surrender and were imprisoned in Deva Imperius. The faster ones chose to flee and scattered off into space. The last group chose to resist to the bitter end, especially those that weren’t able to flee after the ships were destroyed. They ended up torn apart by Zi Zhen’s brutality.

The only way for them to survive was to fight and hold out until their wonderian allies won at the Flameyellow Imperial Star. Yet, all that waiting amounted to nothing after Imperator Shen and Shen Wu got killed.

When news of that arrived, Zi Zhen was already on the way back in the Imperial Specter piloted by Yingsang Daiqiong. Zi Zhen hadn’t thought that the enemy would attack so soon, nor did she expect Tian Jiu to show up and work with Tianming to take down Shen Wu and Imperator Shen as well as the rest of the wonderian army.

By the time Tianming set off to Deva Imperius on the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, things were already coming to a close. The stubborn cosmic gods of the five-pantheon alliance lost their will to fight after hearing about Shen Wu and Imperator Shen’s deaths. They ended up slaughtered by the devan soldiers.

The devas cheered when they heard about the Flameyellow Imperial Star’s victory. Seeing Tianming arrive on the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb caused them to cry out in celebration.

”Emperor Tianming!”

”Emperor Tianming!”

Witnessing the miracle that Tianming created made them see them as their ruler. It wasn’t that long ago that they were at the brink of extermination by the army of the Eightpart Pantheons with many of the devas still not understanding why Imperator Yin chose to side with Tianming.

Who knew that such a huge turnaround could happen in such a short time? The flameyellow divinities and devas combined didn’t have nearly enough forces to take on the Eightpart Pantheons and Shen Wu, yet Zi Zhen and Tian Jiu completely disrupted Shen Wu’s plans and got her killed.

The remnants of the Eightpart Pantheons at Deva Imperius were either killed or taken captive. There were among one billion captives who had surrendered on their own accord.

Tianming left the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and made his appearance before the devas. Imperator Yin and the Specter Kings knelt respectfully to him as they continued to hail him as Emperor Tianming.

All the devas looked at Tianming as their new ruler. Though they were still forced to kneel to him, they were at least able to accept the fact deep in their hearts.

Imperator Shen and the wonderians had been the ones to oppress everyone else in the Eightpart Pantheons all along. Nobody expected that such a powerful faction would eventually end up nearly completely devastated thanks to Tianming.

With Imperator Shen assimilated by Tian Jiu, all of the wonderian elites stood no chance and got assimilated in turn. Even the Aeternal Being, Shen Wu, stood no chance and got killed and refined away by Tianming. With the Heavenly Dao no longer able to be used on Tianming, the remaining cosmic gods of the Eightpart Pantheons no longer had the desire to resist.

Moran continued to stabilize all the wonders she had assimilated within the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. Meanwhile, Tianming looked at the countless devas before him. They used to be one of the rulers of the universe with the Eightpart Pantheons, but they knelt before him with fear and respect. Even Imperator Yin hadn’t expected the war to turn out this way after he chose to side with Tianming.

”Tianming, thou art our true ruler!” Imperator Yin proclaimed.

Tianming approached him with his sword in hand and white hair fluttering behind him. He turned his black-gold eyes on the devas that knelt before him. Then, he raised the Grand-Orient Sword. Five streams of silver sword ki caught the eye. Everyone could tell that this was the result of refining Shen Wu.

”I hereby proclaim that those of the divine ashuran race, Virtue Pantheon, Sin Pantheon, Sundown Pantheon and Starfall Pantheon shall be marked as slave races! As for Imperator Yin, who has led the divine deva race bravely in rebellion against the Eightpart Pantheons and helped the Flameyellow, all of you shall henceforth be known as the guardian devan race!”

Needless to say, the devas currently enjoyed far better status than the other slave races. Tianming’s decree completely stunned the countless cosmic gods. Those that had been taken captive immediately lost all hope. Becoming slave races meant that they would be given the kind of treatment they had given the flameyellow divinities! What goes around comes around.

The devas, who had been given the status of guardians, breathed sighs of relief. Everyone, including Imperator Yin, felt that they had survived a great tribulation. Even though the devas didn’t enjoy the same kind of status as the flameyellow divinities, they were still a united people who hadn’t lost many of their own throughout the war.

Most importantly, their status in the universal hierarchy didn’t change much compared to before. They had never held that much authority in the Eightpart Pantheons in the first place despite being one of them and considered among the rules of the universe. Their rivalry against the wonderians and ashuras already kept them down enough that their new guardian status was not much of a change.

There was a stark difference between guardians and slaves, however. The rest of the Eightpart Pantheons who had lorded over the devas now had to kneel before them.

Just like that, the Eightpart Pantheons was taken apart. The only one who could still wield the Heavenly Dao, Imperator Yin, served as the leader of the guardian devas and obeyed Tianming.

The devas’ cheers resounded across the universe. It wasn’t just limited to Deva Imperius; the devas in other nova-source worlds and the flameyellow divinities across all the fortuna-class worlds cheered for the ascendancy of the Tianming Dynasty, the true rulers of the Realm of Order!

Eventually, the Imperial Specter returned. Zi Zhen and Yingsang Daiqiong were back.

The petite purple figure approached Tianming as the cheers went on, a slight smile on her face. She glanced at him and said, ”I wanted to go back to help you. I didn’t think you’d finish so quickly.”

Ying Huo didn’t miss the chance to pop out. ”Did you hear that? Finished quickly, she said!”
