Beastmaster of the Ages

The countless cosmic gods witnessed the Heavenly Dao sword begin to fade away. Yet, it still clearly existed. Its ultimate smiting power started to turn into the kind of power that drained and sapped away at everything! Tianming was sent plunging downwards with his head numb.

The power that made many despair had bore down heavily on Tianming and his lifebound beasts. Though Tianming had subconsciously wanted to resist it, he soon noticed that changes began to spread through his entire body. The terrifying energy from the Heavenly Dao was actually causing him to weaken.

The ten streams of order within his body, whether they be his own or his lifebound beasts’, began to regress. What made him fear the most was how the bloodline chains’ seals actually began to manifest on all of his lifebound beasts once more! Their bodies shrank and they started to devolve! This was absolutely puzzling and nightmarish.

”The Heavenly Dao’s actually that scary?” He could barely find the words to describe such a situation. He knew that he wasn’t dreaming and that he could feel the energy begin to fade away from his body. His orders and lifebound beasts were regressing in realtime. Eventually, all of his cultivation would be reduced to nothing!

”Tianming!”

”Little Li!”

Ying Huo, Meow Meow and the rest began to panic as the bloodline chains began to seal them once more. They had never experienced anything like this before. The power of slaughter from the Heavenly Dao had turned into one that sapped them of their power and caused them to shrink nonstop!

”Fuck! Don’t tell me we’re gonna go back into our egg forms?!” Ying Huo was going absolutely wild.

They struggled and resisted nonstop. Eventually, even Ji Ji and Xian Xian’s spiritforms were covered in bloodline chains, which reflected the state of their actual bodies. The Heavenly Dao’s power even sapped away at their spiritforms and minds!

”How could this be?! How could such a power even exist?!” Tianming fell into despair like never before. He could see the flameyellow divinities around him. Wudi, Long Xing, Long Qian, Dongfang Taisheng and the rest looked at him in disbelief as his body started to shrink.

”Tianming!” Countless people cried out at the sight. The blood-colored omnisentient threads also began to fade, causing the crimson in his vision to fade away more and more. Given the expressions of Wudi and the rest, Tianming knew that this was no illusion.

Shen Wu continued to control the Heavenly Dao sword from high above. Even though Tianming had displayed shocking power, everything still went according to her plans. The power of regression from the Heavenly Dao wasn’t something he could defend against at all. This was what she had been relying on all along. It had to work for them to rob Tianming of his means to resist!

”It’s finally over,” she said, her words spreading far and wide. An even stronger wave of devolving power gathered at the Heavenly Dao sword and continued to flow to Tianming and his lifebound beasts, further accelerating their deterioration!

Tianming turned to look at Ying Huo, Meow Meow and Lan Huang. All of them were struggling, but there was nothing they could do about the intensifying seals of their bloodline chains.

”My precious brothers and sisters...” Tianming despaired like never before. Grief washed over the depths of his being. He turned to look at the other flameyellow divinities who had placed their hopes in him.

”Is this the end of my lifelong struggle? Flameyellow divinities, I have disappointed you. I’m unable to resist this power...”

Even the Order Relic Universal Body that had saved him time and again didn’t react in the slightest to the Heavenly Dao’s energy. It remained dormant within him.

The power of regression was something nobody had expected. It was a terrifying energy that could reverse the fruits of one’s cultivation! It didn’t matter what level one was at. Nobody stood a chance of winning against such a power.

This was the result of the alterations Shen Wu had made to the Heavenly Dao. Even though she wasn’t able to directly use the Heavenly Dao to exert her will, she could get Imperator Shen to manifest it for her and assume control over it.

As the energy swarmed Tianming, he started to feel his consciousness fading away. He continued to resist, yet all of the ordered power in his body was getting weaker and weaker. It was not even an ant compared to the massive power of the Heavenly Dao.

”Ling’er, I’m afraid I won’t be able to accompany you for the rest of this journey...” His regrets began to surface in his moment of despair. He thought about his darling who was still in the form of a star, her accommodating smile, her cuteness, her softness, her sweetness. Everything began to fade away like smoke.

He also thought about his unborn daughter. ”Forgive me. I wasn’t even able to spend even one day with you.”

Then, he remembered Zi Zhen. How would she feel when she returned from Deva Imperius and couldn’t find him anywhere?

”There’s also Auntie Jiguang and Yao’er... They should be watching this from the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, right? I have disappointed everyone.”

Tianming smiled in bitter resignation as he continued to despair. A final figure with ink-green hair appeared in his mind, the purest form of Little Fish. She was one, but also fifty, taking up a huge space in his heart.

”I’m sorry, Little Fish. I said that I would raise you lovingly, but things still went wrong. I wonder where you are and what you’re thinking?”

He felt his heart being cut away by many tiny blades. Once he fell, they would lose all the momentum they had built up. He would no longer be able to partake in their future resistance efforts. Everything around him would be controlled by others. He wanted to resist, but he couldn’t exert even one bit of his power.

High above in the firmament, Shen Wu and Imperator Shen and the countless other wonderians finally smiled. This war was finally coming to an end.

At the greatest moment of despair, his mind was a complete blur. He was drained to the extreme by the Heavenly Dao. Then, he remembered what Moran said when she last appeared at Wondrium Imperius.

”Little Fish, you’ve been with me since the Sun was a heliacal-class world. What am I to you...” he muttered right before his consciousness faded out.

Then, he seemed to hear a reply coming from a gentle voice. ”You are my life, of course...”
