Beastmaster of the Ages

Gold flashes of lightning swept across Violetblitz Capital, followed by the combined powers of the Primordial Chaos Beasts! Despite wanting to compete against their elder counterparts, Ying Huo and the others worked quite well in tandem with Li Tianzi’s lifebound beasts.

Li Tianzi’s beasts were also considerably more powerful due to his higher cultivation relative to Tianming’s. Though they seemed cold and fierce during their first meeting, they took the initiative to charge towards the stronger strikes to take most of the brunt of the attacks for Tianming’s beasts. The black Aeternal Infernal Phoenix’s middlekin astrons suffered quite a bit of damage from the golden staff strikes.

”Constellationsteal.” Li Tianzi stepped ahead. His left Sky Plundering Arm turned green and slipped through one of the golden staves, stretching towards Lin Tianjian’s cosmic constellation.

Tianming was behind his brother the whole time and was barely affected by the staff attacks. He circled around to the rear of Lin Tianjian and used Constellationsteal as well, pincering Lin Tianjian with his brother!

The cosmic constellation immediately began to shake and rumble. However, an imperator would no doubt be prepared for a move like this. Lin Tianjian’s body flashed with lightning violently and stabilized the constellation form. It was weakened, but it didn’t crumble!

”Nothing but a mediocre trick!” He smirked and reformed his body of lightning. Then, he used another staff art, Righteous Fiendbanish! The Primal Fiendbanisher in his hand exploded with absolute power. Then, the golden six-eyed god of lightning behind Lin Tianjian reformed itself into a white three-eyed god of lightning. Bolts shot out of its three eyes and split into tens of millions of seals that rained down like a meteor shower. Each seal was about millions of meters wide, able to stamp out countless fiends!

”Tianming, hold on!” Li Tianzi pulled his black arm back and activated the Three-Eyed Lightning Death Constellation, filling his body and limbs with increased power. The smog-shrouded chain in his hand whipped around wildly, creating millions of afterimages. The whip afterimages clashed with the falling white seals of lightning. Black and white cosmoforce clashed and canceled each other out.

”Decapath era godswords, 200-fold Simulacrum, Formation Corporealized!” Tianming’s totem swords manifested physically and formed a sword formation around the Grand-Orient Sword. ”Go!”

The sword formation shot out and scattered the lightning seals that Li Tianzi hadn’t been able to destroy. The brothers had perfectly blocked Lin Tianjian’s cosmic art!

”Good moves!” Li Tianzi laughed excitedly in the face of the powerful enemy. ”The two of us haven’t fought side-by-side like this for far too long. I didn’t think we could still fight so well together!”

When he saw his brother block the strongest strikes for him, Tianming was reminded of the time when he had the skypole stars. ”Back then, I didn’t have to think about defense when I fought. It’s the same now too!”

Once, Tianming didn’t feel like his family in the Realm of Chaos were his real family, but the warmth of his grandparents and big brother, Li Tianzi, had conveyed that warmth to him. This was unmistakably the warmth of family!

Li Tianzi’s and his lifebound beasts took most of the brunt of Lin Tianjian’s attacks, allowing Tianming to soar freely! He could focus on attacking however he liked under his brother’s watchful eye, making him an immense annoyance to the imperator.

Lin Tianjian had never expected the brothers to be so hard to deal with. He wanted to kill Tianming, but every time he tried to, Li Tianzi would step in to block him. All the while, Tianming zipped around to harass him with all sorts of abilities, pushing him into rather desperate straits!

He didn’t think he would lose, but if he wasn’t able to take out Tianming soon, the situation would no doubt change unpredictably once more. He could already tell that Imperator Tu was struggling to hold up on her end. That female imperator of Yueling had been injured by Tianming and Zi Zhen to begin with and had taken who knows how many more slaps to the face from the specter with six of her ninehall eyes open.

Imperator Feng, on the other hand, had no grudge against Imperator Ji so the fight seemed more like a formality to the both of them. He was paying attention to Lin Tianjian and could probably instantly make his way there once he showed any opening.

”I need to end this quickly.” Lin Tianjian grimaced. He mustered violet lightning all over his body once more, channeling it into his Primal Fiendbanisher to unleash a powerful strike that drove Tianming and Li Tianzi back. Then, he drew a violet lightning ball from the violet skull and swallowed it.

”It’s the starsource of Violetblitz!” Li Tianzi warned.

”For real?!” Tianming was quite shocked. It was one of the most important things of starcages, much like a worldcore.

After swallowing the starsource, the violet lightning around Lin Tianjian’s body went even wilder than before. Tianming knew that the Violetblitz starsource could be used to push back against cosmic gods foreign to the starcage. He didn’t think consuming it had a different function. ”What’s the point of swallowing it?”

”The starsource is the core of the energy of Violetblitz Starcage. It has so much power that even imperatores aren’t able to fully control it,” Li Tianzi said. ”Swallowing it would cause the violet lightning energy to harm his foundations, but it would also temporarily make him much stronger! He’ll be able to call on violet lightning at will!”

”I see.” The pressure was mounting. Even without the explanation, Tianming could feel the lightning around Lin Tianjian crackle more violently than before.

”Li Tianming, I will bury you along with my son today!” Imperator Jian’s eyes pulsed with violet lightning bolts that spread across his entire body and to the surrounding tens of millions of meters around him. Then, the five-colored lightning on the skulls of his staff gathered as the imperator charged up for his most powerful strike.
