Beastmaster of the Ages

The many cosmic gods within Violetblitz Capital watched as Tianming lost close to half of the constellation he had stolen and cheered. All of a sudden, sounds of pain and slaughter rang out all over the place. Countless cosmic gods were attacked without warning. The soldiers of the firemaple race charged into the capital like a wave of falling magma!

Almost instantly, most of the violetblitzian cosmic gods were crushed by the overwhelming surprise attack. There was no warning sign leading up to it at all. They weren’t able to react and were reduced to their essence form one after another, creating even more chaos in Myriadbolt Plaza.

”It’s the firemaples! The firemaples have attacked!”

”How dare they?! This is Vioetblitz Capital!”

”How shameless! They must have planned this beforehand! It is a plot!”

”Aaaaagh! I was reduced to essence form before I could react! Someone, take me away from here, please!”

The violetblitzians’ cheers had risen back to the peak when they saw Lin Xiaoting beating down on Tianming. But even that had changed in almost an instant. As the crowd themselves got attacked, they could no longer afford to spare any attention to how Tianming was doing in the fight.

The entire Myriadbolt Plaza fell into chaos. The battle in Violetblitz Capital sparked in almost no time at all! The firemaples had sent a force of eight billion troops, all filled with fighting spirit and high morale. They didn’t hold back their strikes in the slightest. The cosmic gods in Violetblitz, on the other hand, were utterly stunned. It was as if their whole world was frozen and trembling in unison.

”How could this be?!” Imperator Jian, Imperator Ji and the rest were just as stunned. They looked at the chaos around them, expressions souring as they heard nonstop cries of pain and killing. Cosmic gods exploded one after another nonstop.

Imperator Ji turned to Li Tianzi coldly. ”How dare you sky plunderers work with Li Yanfeng to interfere with Violetblitz’s internal affairs!”

Li Tianzi rolled his eyes. ”Nonsense. I have no idea what’s happening right now.”

”If it wasn’t you, who was it?! It can’t have been a coincidence!”

”Why would I know? Go ask Li Yanfeng, why don’t you?” Li Tianzi continued to feign ignorance.

Imperator Jian was utterly enraged by what was happening, causing lightning bolts to explode around him. Covered in violet lightning, his electric gaze fell on the chaos in the capital. ”Very well, Li Yanfeng! You have asked for a death sentence on your own accord. I didn’t have plans to deal with you before because we violetblitzians lack the pretext to kill and exile all of you firemaples, but since you dared to attack the capital, you can’t blame me for going all out!”

As far as he was concerned, it didn’t matter that Tianming and Li Tianzi were involved. It was more than enough pretext to get Li Yanfeng killed. This was a great opportunity to wipe away the annoying pain in his neck. Even the Adjudicator wouldn’t stop them from responding to an attack against the violetblitzians!

Imperator Jian looked into the distance and saw even more firemaple cosmic gods bringing a massive flaming nebula with them. The attack had been started by the troops that had been laying in ambush within the capital earlier. Li Yanfeng’s massive army immediately surrounded them on all fronts, turning the sky of Violetblitz Capital into a firmament of flaming stars.

The sudden nature of the attack allowed the firemaples to gain an absolute advantage. One after another, the violetblitzians fell from the unrelenting beatdown. This was part of a longstanding grudge between the violetblitzians and firemaples, both natives of Violetblitz Starcage. The moment fighters from both sides spotted the other, they immediately went for the kill without holding back in the slightest. Violet lightning and flames clashed all across the capital, resulting in unthinkable chaos and destruction. Even imperatores would struggle to maintain full control over a situation like that.

Not long after the fight began, near ten million violetblitzians had been turned into cosmic-god essences. Some essences were even crushed in the chaos, resulting in their deaths!

”Lin Tianjian, come here to die!” Li Yanfeng cried from afar. He stood amidst the flaming nebula, eyes blazing like two powerful suns. His towering 100-thousand-meter form turned into a flaming comet as it shot towards Imperator Jian. While it looked like he was trying to kill the enemy leader, it was actually an attempt to bring the fight to where Tianming was to disrupt Myriadbolt Plaza even more so that he could create a chance for Tianming and the rest.

”How bold!” Imperator Jian’s body pulsed with lightning as he went flying, clashing intensely with Li Yanfeng. Violet lightning and flaming cosmoforces reacted violently in the air, sending out many destructive ripples.

Some of the firemaple soldiers reached Myriadbolt Plaza, turning it into the most chaotic part in the entire capital. Even Tianming couldn’t help but get swept up by the chaos.

Lin Xiaoting, who had turned into a feral beast, continued to give unrelenting chase. The cosmic gods he ran into along the way were swatted away by his claws, regardless of which side they were on. He had lost his mind and couldn’t think about anything other than Tianming.

Imperator Tu and Imperator Ji, however, didn’t take any action. They merely observed Li Yanfeng and Imperator Jian’s fight. It didn’t seem like either side would emerge victorious anytime soon, so they stood their ground. The ripples of lightning and fire that came their way were neutralized before they could touch them in the slightest. Their attention was focused on Li Tianzi and Zi Zhen the entire time, making sure that they wouldn’t be able to step in to help Tianming.

Li Tianzi said to them, ”Ladies, this is an internal conflict of Violetblitz Starcage. I believe outsiders like us shouldn’t get involved.”

Imperator Ji smirked. ”Aren’t you the ones who want to get involved?”

”Don’t go throwing around accusations here,” Li Tianzi said. ”Let them fight their fights while we fight ours. Not to mention, Lin Xiaoting is still chasing Tianming down even at a time like this. Maybe you’d like to call a timeout for Lin Xiaoting so he can defend his people and continue his fight against us later.”

Naturally, Imperator Ji wouldn’t fall for that ploy. Lin Xiaoting had an absolute advantage in the fight. They would never give up on such a good chance to wipe out Tianming. Li Yanfeng’s mess, on the other hand, had drawn away all the attention of the duel to clear Tianming’s name of being a willing cuckold. The violetblitzians were too busy caring about their wellbeing than some silly gossip.
