Beastmaster of the Ages

The Perpetual Wonderqueen left for the Lower Star Ruins to look for a path through the Xenoworld to the wondersky realms. Since Tianming had to wait, he used that time to cultivate! It wouldn’t be just any cultivation.

Though Zi Zhen was always playing coy and hesitant, she was dragged into the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb by Tianming for ’cultivation.’ She was the only one who could still match Tianming in size, after all.

A few days later, Zi Zhen laid her petite form in Tianming’s embrace. When she recalled the wondersky fairy, she asked, ”Do you think that the Perpetual Wonderqueen will really destroy the wondersky realms?”

”I believe she will,” he said after some thought.

”You seem to understand her well,” she said with a chuckle.

”I wouldn’t say that, no. It’s just a matter of analysis. If she doesn’t do as told, wouldn’t her trip here to find me have been in vain? Not only that, she also told us the wonderians’ biggest secret. It could always just be a lie, of course, but I can’t see why she would make this kind of lie.”

Zi Zhen nodded in agreement. The points did make sense. ”Come to think of it, you seem to have known the Perpetual Wonderqueen longer than you’ve known me.”

”I didn’t expect that she would take note of me when I was still in the Lower Star Ruins either.” Tianming felt a headache brewing.

Zi Zhen smiled. ”With how she looks, are you sure nothing happened between you and her in the wondersky realm?”

”What could have happened? I only ever went there to cultivate. Not to mention, anyone with eyes can see there’s something off about that wondersky fairy. Do I look like someone who thinks with my seventh astral organ?”

”You don’t just look like one, you are one,” she said, blushing whenever she recalled what they just did.

Naturally, Tianming really didn’t have any desire to have that kind of relationship with the wondersky fairy. ”Just wait. If she really destroys a large wondersky realm as told, she’d be making herself the wonderians’ public enemy. That’s when we can start to trust her more.”

Tianming was still unable to figure out a proper reaction to the fact that the wondersky fairy turned out to be the number-two figure among the elite wonderians. ”To think that I’ve been punching and kicking the Perpetual Wonderqueen when I was still at the Lower Star Ruins... How many levels apart were we, even?”

There used to be a mind-bending power gap. Then again, Tianming did grow considerably to be able to match her in power, but that was still far from enough. I trust Little Fish, but just in case, I should gather enough power or influence over the situation before she faces off against Imperator Shen.

While he was powerful enough to subdue the Perpetual Wonderqueen, he was still far from capable of handling imperatores. Strong as his omnisentient power was, he had to strengthen his own cultivation as well.

He didn’t return tot he Realm of Chaos immediately because of the Perpetual Wonderqueen. Instead, he stayed on the Sun and cultivated with Zi Zhen. He put the dazzling radiance that was worth about thirty thousand times the average mass that he obtained from Vermillion Bird Starcage to good use, calming down and stabilizing his order before he absorbed them.

Zi Zhen, on the other hand, wasn’t quite cultivating but recovering her former powers instead. Thanks to dazzling radiance, she improved rapidly!

Thirty years passed in a flash. Tianming got an update and stopped cultivating. ”The Perpetual Wonderqueen is heading towards the final fortuna-class wondersky realm.”

He was quite satisfied with her performance. During the past three decades, she performed many stunning feats. From the moment she went down to the Lower Star Ruins, large wondersky realms fell one after another when she killed the phantom beasts they were built on. The situation in the Lower Star Ruins had changed completely.

”Fortunately, enough of the Lower Star Ruins already fall under the umbrella of my dynasty. Thanks to Jiguang’s early notice, the fall of the wondersky realms didn’t cause too much chaos. The wondersky fairy’s mission is also proceeding smoothly.”

”That’s only to be expected. She’s the controller of the Perpetual Wondersky Formation, after all,” Zi Zhen said, smiling by his side. After seeing all that the wondersky fairy had done, Zi Zhen began to trust her. Though she still acted as if she couldn’t stand her presence, she did trust her as one of their own.

What really surprised Tianming was how the wonderians couldn’t mount any effective response at all against the destruction of the wondersky realms. Di Yi’s absence left the Xenoworld too chaotic for any large-scale operation. The wonderians were also under threat of Tian Jiu, so many people were too busy focusing on their own wellbeing.

According to Yin Chen’s investigation, the situation among the wonderians was gradually worsening. The elites, including Imperator Shen, had been counting on the caeli in the wondersky realms as their trump card for the final battle, but the wondersky fairy destroyed them completely. One could only imagine how furious the elites were at her.

”Who knew that the lofty wonderians would be forced onto a path of extinction. I didn’t think that Little Fish alone would be able to push them so deeply into a corner either. Though, I have a feeling that she’s more Tian Jiu than Little Fish at this point,” Zi Zhen said with a look of worry.

The extinction of the wonderians didn’t mean that Tianming would no longer have enemies. In fact, if Moran couldn’t maintain her own personality over Tian Jiu’s, Tianming might have to face off against the reborn and complete Tian Jiu in the future, an entity far more terrifying than the wonderian civilization.

”Let’s not fuss over things that we can’t control. We’ll cross the bridge when we come to it,” Tianming said, shaking his head as he stood up.

He finished absorbing all of the dazzling radiance, causing more middlekin astrons to split and multiply, strengthening his order. He reached sixty thousand meters in height and broke through to the ninth level of the Heavencosmic Stage, getting ever closer to becoming a primocosmic god.

Zi Zhen did reach the eighth level of the Primocosmic Stage. Considering her special abilities that allowed her to fight above her level, she could be considered a quasi imperator. Even so, her petite form still allowed her to match Tianming’s size well.

”I think if we join hands now, we might be able to defeat an imperator,” Tianming said, clutching his fists tight. Denser cosmoforce filled his body, causing starlight to emanate from his gigantic, towering form.

”Is the red ball we were using completely drained?” Zi Zhen asked.

”Yeah. It’d be much harder to make progress now,” Tianming said. The rest of the dazzling radiances in the Realm of Chaos was in enemy territory. The only way to obtain more was to go to war.
