Beastmaster of the Ages

Outside the monochrome planet, Tianming was stunned after Yin Chen recounted everything that happened. ”Damn! He really is the most ruthless person in the Million Mundi!”

In fact, Tianming had been fooled by the valley lord when he first heard his intention to unite and trample House Suishen. He never imagined the man could be so cruel.

”For many millennia, there’s never been a conflict of this level between the Three Exalted Houses.... The man’s made history!” Tianming had originally been worried about House Suishen, but it was clear that House Qitian wanted to stand alone. Although House Suishen wouldn’t have to fight two houses, the current situation wasn’t much better.

Eminent Jiguang still remained quietly by his side, for fear of disturbing Tianming, who she thought was still searching for the vortex of baleflame. However, she vaguely heard the noise in the distance. The violent storm mostly masked the otherwise deafening sound of fighting.

”Now that House Yumo’s fled, there’s no one left to challenge the valley lord and House Qitian....”

The fortuna-class astralship and other legacies of the Yin-Yang World that possibly existed gave the valley lord the confidence to pursue his course of action. They were the reason he wasted no time in falling out with House Yumo and failed to clarify about the Infinitum Mundus. As long as he had the means and an unstoppable weapon in hand, he wasn’t afraid of anything.

It meant trouble for Tianming.

There’s no way to determine the function of the monochrome flower. Logically speaking, the figurine in my hands should be the formation core.... He narrowed his gaze, his heart turbulent.

At that moment, the monochrome figurine suddenly trembled. ”Detecting that someone has used the backup formation core. Would you like to activate the self-destruct mechanism?”

Tianming’s eyes instantly lit up. ”Activate it! Activate it now!” A look of joy appeared on his face.

”Ding! The distance is too far. Please enter Blissful Union to activate the self-destruct mechanism!”

Tianming was dizzy when he heard that. First of all, the astralship’s automated speech sounded stupid. Words like “detecting” and “ding” were so cringey. And why was the ancient, majestic fortuna-class astralship called “Blissful Union”? The name sounded rather provocative.

In fact, the Yin-Yang Baleflame, the drop of blood that had tormented Eminent Jiguang, and even the undertone of the Yin-Yang World—including the “fight” between Yumo Fuyun and Reverend Qiyao—told Tianming one thing: there was something off about the Yin-Yang World. It seemed that carnal matters had been taken very seriously there....

Although it left him speechless, it didn’t affect the appeal of the items left behind in the Yin-Yang World. When he realized that his formation core was the real thing and the one in the valley lord’s hands was only the backup, he thought about what might happen next and his heart started pounding.

Self-destruct?

In order to obtain the relics of the Yin-Yang World, the valley lord had slaughtered the pillar of House Yumo, broken the Myriadpath Sacred Code and ancestral teachings, and placed all his hopes on the monochrome flower. Tianming couldn’t wait to enter the Blissful Union to witness the valley lord vomit blood out of anger, even if it was risky. After driving away the specters of House Yumo, the valley lord had begun assimilating the backup formation core, a flower for the man and his tensource beast each. And the fact that the tensource beast could even undertake such a task was amazing.

”Au—Miss....” Tianming was so excited that he almost let it slip, but fortunately he quickly corrected himself.

”Did you find something?” Eminent Jiguang expectantly asked. It was obvious she had noticed the noise and movement. She had been staring in the direction of Blissful Union, brows furrowed.

”Not yet.” Tianming pursed his lips. ”Will you take me there? But no matter what you see, don’t speak or ask questions, okay?”

The yin-yang essence storm in the Inner Yin was extremely violent. Tianming’s cosmoforce wouldn’t be able to withstand the storm if he were to act on his own, so he needed Suishen Jiguang’s cosmoforce to envelop him.

Although she was stunned upon hearing the request of her benefactor, she nodded. ”Okay, I won’t ask any questions.”

With her permission, Tianming immediately guided them through the storm toward the Blissful Union, which was traveling deeper into the Inner Yin.

”That....” At first sight, the look in Suishen Jiguang’s eyes changed. She knew it was a fortuna-class astralship.

”It looks like the Yin-Yang World holds many secrets,” she sighed, still keeping her word to protect Tianming.

He took her to the entrance of the passage taken by the specters.

”Is this close enough?” he asked the monochrome figurine.

”Ding! The current position is too far from the backup formation core. Please move closer.”

Going any deeper was dangerous!

”I have to take the risk. I have yet to control the real formation core. He might be able to leave with the astralship if he assimilates the backup core first!” Tianming had no choice but to approach the astralship with Suishen Jiguang.

”The smell of starblood....” A doubtful look appeared on Suishen Jiguang’s pretty face.

”Don’t ask,” Tianming said, looking at her.

”Okay....” She pouted, a little unhappy, but kept her mouth shut and didn’t dare ask more.

Her expression made Tianming feel secretly pleased. She had always been the elder, guiding him step by step, but now it was his turn to guide her.

”Ding! The current position is enough.” The sentence brought a naughty smile to Tianming’s face. He couldn’t hold back from snickering to himself.

Eminent Jiguang panicked when she heard his laughter and thought, He’s lured me here... He won’t do anything bad, will he...?

Of course Tianming was about to do something bad, but not to her.

”Take this, Valley Lord!”

In a dark hall deep in the Blissful Union.

The laughter of father and son echoed for a long time.

”Yumo Diyan is seething with rage,” said Qitian Muyu.

”He’ll figure it out, and when he does, he’ll kneel.” The valley lord smiled. He didn’t think Houses Yumo and Suishen could accomplish anything in Myriadpath Valley. ”Of course, that assumes that we control the treasure of the Yin-Yang World.” The valley lord had bet the future of House Qitian on the monochrome flower in front of him.
