Beastmaster of the Ages

Ying Huo perched on Tianming’s head and Meow Meow slept in his embrace, all the while both of them mocked him for being a low-tier mount. Lan Huang, on the other hand, shrank its body to a few meters long, while the smallest Xian Xian could turn was roughly the size of its spiritform in its dryad mode.

In that state, their astron densities were unbelievable, surpassing even that of specters from House Yumo! Apart from the fact that their levels were somewhat low, they were actually incredibly ferocious.

Tianming asked them whether they had unlocked new abilities from undoing bloodline chains. Ying Huo’s was called Empyrean Flame Vortex, which was more powerful than Skyscorch Wrathlotus. Meow Meow also had a new ability, and this time it wasn’t a mobility based one like Fiveway Blitzrun. Instead, it was an offensive ability called Chaossky Blitzsource.

What surprised Tianming even more was that they said they could use their abilities in tandem to unleash a combination ability called Blitzburn Origin. It was their second combination ability after Beacon Chaosswamp. It seemed that Meow Meow and Ying Huo had some kind of ties in their past life. They were Tianming’s main ability blasters, being blessed with ones packed with firepower.

Lan Huang also hadn’t faltered. Its new ability was called Primordial Shockblast. It was a sonic attack that was far more complex than Primordial Soundwave. Both of Lan Huang’s heads would resonate with its primordial lungs, with one head letting out a yin sonic blast and the other letting out a yang counterpart. It was an ability that worked in both single combat and crowd control.

But Xian Xian was the one that truly shocked Tianming. Its seventh flower had finally bloomed! It was a golden Astral Sunflower that shone with a sharp and sacred light. Its petals seemed incredibly tough. The part of the sunflower where the seeds were looked like a star-filled galaxy. Xian Xian said that the astron-sized seeds could be fired out to latch on to their foes and destroy them on an astron level. At the very least, it meant neutralizing all the cosmoforce packed within those astrons. It was yet another impressive control ability.

Tianming knew that their breakthroughs were no doubt the leftovers from the flameyellow divinity manna they had used long ago. Their bloodlines had been greatly strengthened, bringing them even closer to true Primordial Chaos Beasthood. After symbiotic cultivation, Tianming’s bloodline also grew stronger.

”This is amazing.” Even though he felt like he was in a good place, he didn’t just stop there. He yearned to get as strong as he possibly could and couldn’t wait to try things out with his six beasts. ”From now on, we have to fight as a group again instead of being fused together. We have to work on our teamwork to make up for the drop in our ferocity, got it?”

”Really? Why do I feel kind of weird,” Ying Huo said, smirking.

”What do you mean?” Tianming asked.

”I’ll show you a magic trick!” Ying Huo said mysteriously.

”Magic trick?” Tianming knew that it was definitely up to no good. Before he could react, the chick suddenly flew toward his right arm. Then its body melted into flaming astrons and drilled right into his arm!

”Holy crap...!” Tianming felt the pain of lava flowing straight into his arm, but the pain only lasted an instant. Within a second, Ying Huo’s astrons had fused with his arm and connected with his infernal heart once more. At the same time, its cosmoforce once more joined Tianming’s own reserves, greatly boosting it. It was the familiar sensation of being a tainted beastmaster!

”What’s going on? Did it wear off? Did your evolution stop working?” Tianming felt a hum in his head from the shock.

”What do you think?” Ying Huo chuckled.

”Are you sick or something?” Tianming glared at Ying Huo and saw it was so happy that he knew it shouldn’t be a big issue.

”Heh!” Ying Huo smirked and its astrons instantly left Tianming and reformed into its complete form. It was fine!

”And one more time! Heh!” Ying Huo fused with Tianming’s arm again.

”And here we go again! Heh!” Almost immediately, it left once more.

”Heh!”

”Heh!”

It came and went while Tianming awkwardly watched.

”Stop heh-ing already!” Tianming grabbed its neck with his black arm and squeezed until foam sprayed out of its beak.

”Let me go, you piece of shit!” Ying Huo began rampaging.

Tianming glared at it and said, ”So you’re saying that, while you’re free now and your body has recovered, you’re still able to fuse with me as you please because of what happened before?”

”Of course! Can’t you see for yourself?” Ying Huo shot him a look of disdain.

”What about the others?” Tianming asked.

”I feel like it’s possible!” Meow Meow said.

”I can hug your leg too!” Lan Huang said with some excitement.

”Then, all of you, try it out,” Tianming said. While it hurt, the pain only lasted an instant. As they got accustomed to the fusion process, the pain eventually vanished. Xian Xian, Meow Meow, and Lan Huang could instantly return to Tianming’s body like Ying Huo. They had unrestricted access! Every time they fused, their cosmoforce reserves would fuse with his. Ji Ji’s genesis nova ancestral source could also permeate his body again, thanks to the beasts he was fused with.

”So it’s exactly like before!” It was perfect. ”So they aren’t just revived and free, but can also fuse with me to form a super powerful single combat unit. They can also split up at any time to fight on their own.”

Tianming had even more tricks up his sleeves now; things couldn’t have turned out better. ”Looks like their failed evolution that required them to fuse with me to survive turned out to be a good thing after all.”
