Beastmaster of the Ages

Most people had no idea what was happening. But the leaders of Viridian, who were stellaminors, naturally knew.

Soon, the star’s astralguard formation was activated. A green light swept across the world, the radiance guarding the entire star. People felt somewhat relieved. But when they discovered that the astralguard formation couldn’t stop the dissipation of nova source, panic ensued. The nova source’s dispersion was even accelerating.

But that wasn’t the main issue. Simultaneously, a terrifying suction force descended from the heavens, acting on everything on Viridian. After the nova source, next to go was dust, soil, and water droplets.

The terrifying suction pulled everything toward the sky. Houses began trembling, trees were uprooted, and countless insects, fish, and shrimp had already made their way into the sky.

The entire world seemed to be sucked away.

Nowhere on Viridian was spared, and large-scale casualties quickly occurred.

Then the earth shook as land, rivers, lakes, and seas flew up next as the apocalypse continued. And if the land was fracturing, how could people survive?

Some mortals with lower cultivation, as well as the elderly and children, were sucked up. They were injured in the storm of debris, then their bodies broke apart. In the end, almost none survived. Bodies had joined the mess up there.

”Mom! Mom! Waaa...!”

”How could this be...?”

Some people were still in shock, not having time to react before they were torn apart. Others were slightly luckier and didn’t immediately die, but when they saw others and beasts being torn apart and heard their pained screams, their hearts were only filled with more sorrow.

”What happened!”

No one knew. Mortals couldn’t stop it, and neither could gods.

The entire world seemed like it was having its soul sucked away, everything on it forcibly stripped away like peeling a layer of skin. Everything above the fusion formation was sucked away.

Billions of living things were wailing. However, the universe was too vast and they were too remote, so not even the pain of billions could stir a ripple in the vast universe. Who could hear the cries of a group of fish being swallowed by a whale in the sea?

The roar of ten skypiercer-class nova sources drowned out all other sounds. From a distance, the emerald-green star had all of its ’impurities’ stripped away in a short time, making it look even more beautiful with only the fusion formation remaining. Without zooming in, all the suffering that the beautiful scene cost couldn’t be seen.

”Grandma, I’m scared, so scared!”

”Lian’er, where are you!”

”Waa...!”

”I must be dreaming, Dad! When I wake up, I promise you, I’ll definitely get into Greenwind Academy!”

Billions of beings, billions of stories, billions of hearts, billions of pains, all converged into a single brilliant green light that illuminated the universe. In just an hour, Viridian had been stripped of everything but its fusion formation. All the mortals and gods on it had been stripped off and turned into a huge dark fog above. It was a shadow like a dark abyss.

The black-robed people stood far enough away, with lighthearted smiles on their faces.

”This green star looks pretty.”

”After cleaning, it’s better than before.”

”Why does the universe need to nurture so many low-level beings? It’s a waste of nova source.”

”Don’t say that. If there aren’t many of them, what’ll we eat?”

”Doesn’t matter, there’s too many anyway. Countless heliacal-class worlds exist in the Million Mundi and it’s impossible to eat them all.”

They chatted with smiles, only seeing the beautiful green light.

”Everyone, stop chatting and get ready to filter!”

”Remove the dust and other impurities and only keep the flesh and blood of living beings, and put them into the Yumo Blood Crucible.”

”Yumo Xue is waiting for this drop of starblood to dominate the Fortuna Ranking!”

”Start filtering! Be careful, if there’s too many impurities, you’ll be responsible if it affects the minor pathkeeper’s cultivation!”

”Understood!”

The vast green light from Viridian crashed into the center of the ring. The astralship formations there were constructed into a layer of filters. Dust, sand, trees, and other debris flew out, while the severed limbs and other parts of corpses were retained by the filters.

Filtering! Using that word to describe people was indeed the greatest degradation. However, it was also the truth of the universe. Huge power disparities inevitably created a world of the strong preying on the weak. The greater the disparity, the fewer the rules.

After filtering, there would be no more pain. By the time the living things of Viridian reached there, there were no complete bodies left. Not even the bodies of stellaminors could survive the suction power of the vacuum.

”Stay focused!” The black-robed people reminded each other.

About an hour later, all the dust and dirt had passed through the filter. Scattered items from the mortal realm floated in the universe, mixed with sand and dust.

Swords, desks, clothes, gifts.... Each item had its own story, but because there were too many of them and the universe was too vast, the stories lost their meaning with the death of their owners.

”Open the Yumo Blood Crucible! Compress the materials, begin refining!”

”Yes!”

A giant blood-colored cauldron as large as an astralship appeared under the ring. The ring rotated, pouring out a huge mass of bloody matter. It fell into the blood-colored cauldron, all kinds of body parts everywhere.

”Close the cauldron!” With an announcement, the blood-colored cauldron’s lid, shaped like a fierce infinitum-class demon face, fell with a rumble.
