Beastmaster of the Ages

Yin Chen stared at Tianming with disdain, annoyed by his words. The one-point-five-meter tall locust suddenly melted and turned into hundreds of thousands of invisible cockroaches and spread out in an instant.

”The change... in size... doesn’t affect... the number... of divisions!” it said.

Tianming understood. The size of Yin Chen’s existing bodies had increased. In the beginning, when it was first born, they were only the size of an egg. To form a larger body, Yin Chen could only connect its existing bodies like silver centipedes. If its existing bodies were big enough, Yin Chen could split two or three times for various functions, but its combat capabilities would be limited if they were too small. So it would grow stronger as its existing bodies increased in size.

The maximum number of divisions was determined by the number of existing bodies. Before it evolved, its limit had been a hundred billion, and if that number remained the same while each existing body grew larger in size, that would mean more cockroaches. Thus, the number of “monitors” had undergone a terrifying transformation.

Tianming asked excitedly, ”Is the limit still a hundred billion?” A one-point-five-meter locust would be able to split into over a hundred thousand invisible cockroaches. Even if larger cockroaches were required in Ebonia, where the gravitational force was stronger, there would still be ten thousand of them. Ten thousand multiplied by a hundred billion! How many would that be?

Tianming wouldn’t be able to count them all. There would be no blind spots; he could find anyone. The world would be filled with so many bugs that it would be impossible to eradicate them. He was thrilled.

However, Yin Chen merely looked at him with contempt. ”A hundred... billion? Are... you looking... down on... me me?!” Turning into a big locust once more, it said, ”More like... a trillion!”

”Damn!”

From a hundred billion small bodies to a trillion large ones! What an amazing breakthrough! Tianming suddenly had a premonition that all the metal veins on Ebonia wouldn’t be enough for Yin Chen. Once it spread out, it could probably form a formation big enough to cover the Sun.

A trillion.... How many would that be after each of them split into ten thousand little cockroaches? Tianming didn’t think his brain had the processing power to calculate that.

“That isn’t... all. I’ve... also awakened... the strongest... combat ability!” Yin Chen added.

The words piqued Tianming’s interest. What could its strongest combat ability be? ”The strongest combat ability? Show it to us! Who knows if you’re bragging?” he retorted. He thought that a child like Yin Chen would show off its ability at the slightest provocation.

However, the big silver locust just stared at him with the same disdain. ”Hold on!” With that, Yin Chen began to devour metal ores with all of its bodies, including the one in front of Tianming. As long as there were enough ores, it could double its numbers every three breaths. It was amazing.

Tianming realized that its strongest combat ability required a certain amount of existing bodies.

”Many metal veins were moved from Gladeus to the vicinity of the Sky Palace Formation. They haven’t been mined, but Yin Chen can absorb and digest the ores.... Let’s increase its numbers first, then we’ll wipe out the wonderians!”

Yin Chen was at its most dangerous and crucial period when it was down to one cockroach. Had Tianming snuffed it out at that time, the effects of its most recent evolution would be nullified. It had already split into millions of bodies in a short period of time, though, so he didn’t have to worry about it any longer and could move on to other matters.

The astral gods of the Sun were wrapping things up. Blood dyed the earth and sky red. They declared the end of the war when over two million wonderians of the Fengqing Clan had been annihilated. This time, the main force was made up of astral gods rather than astralships, so the battle was more intense and brutal. It was impossible to avoid casualties. However, the wonderians and Intrepideans had suffered far heavier losses. There was no doubt that the newly formed Tianming Dynasty had won a great victory.

The moment they slaughtered the last wonderian, the entire world rejoiced. The passion and fiery excitement of the entire Sun converged in Tianming through the omnisentient threads. He felt a powerful, invincible, fearless will taking form in every person’s heart. A new nation and its new soul intent!

”With the Flameyellow Bloodsoul, they might become real flameyellow divinities one day!” Tianming was filled with hope.

The Sun was in a mess after the war. More than three million had died in the battle against the wonderians, and treasures and precious materials were scattered all over the ground. It was time to clean up.

”After slaughtering so many wonderians, the people of my Tianming Dynasty will grow stronger with the Flameyellow Bloodsoul!” Tianming had faith in them. He descended from the sky in front of millions who believed and worshiped him. Chants of “Emperor Tianming” resounded wherever he went. Even the blazing clouds in the sky loudly rumbled, as if to welcome the arrival of their ruler.

”Yin Chen!” Tianming landed on the ground. With his clothes on, he didn’t look any different from before. After all, he used to have a black arm. Although both of his arms were now beastlike, his legs weren’t visible under his trousers. Lan Huang was a little unhappy about that. Secretly poking two holes in at the hem and knee of his trouser leg, it stared at the scene outside.

Tianming didn’t have stars in his eyes, so he wouldn’t be mistaken for a specter. However, his temperament and aura had undergone some changes, making him even more intimidating. He seemed more ferocious, like a beast, and less humane.

”How many bodies do you have now?”

In the middle of the final battle, Tianming noticed more and more Yin Chens near the Sky Palace Formation. These big locusts were too busy to hide themselves. They were really conspicuous, a sea of silver bugs everywhere he looked. From a distance, one might mistake them for a silver ocean formed by the waters of the sun.

”A hundred... billion billion!” Yin Chen said, its voice rigid.

”A hundred billion? That’s really fast!”

Yin Chen’s rate of division hinged upon the number of metal ores and how spread out it was. If they were all gathered in one place with enough metal, it would only take a few breaths for it to go from a hundred billion to its limit, which was a trillion.
