Beastmaster of the Ages

To be honest, if Yin Chen succeeded in evolving, how could Tianming not be happy? He was happier than Yin Chen itself! So, although he was teasing Yin Chen, he actually felt somewhat incredulous and quite looking forward to it.

Soon, he discovered that the cockroach had grown to the size of a fist.

The sanctuary-class axe it had swallowed was over a hundred times the size of a fist, yet it condensed into a body that size, indicating that its hardness had reached a hundred times that of a sanctuary-class divine weapon. That alone was already quite terrifying.

”In the past, although there were many individual Yin Chens, they didn’t seem to be this hard.” Although there were over a hundred billion of them, when it came to fighting, they were all cannon fodder and easily turned to ashes. But seeing its individual enhancement now had convinced Tianming that it would undoubtedly lead to an overall increase in combat power, which comforted him.

”Not bad, not bad!” He already believed that it had undergone a major transformation and evolution. Yin Chen wasn’t using omnisentient power now, but Tianming felt that it was indeed quite fierce.

However, what happened next truly stunned him.

”Why hasn’t it split yet?”

Normally, when Yin Chen reached the size of a fist, it would start to split and replicate, forming more bodies. But now the little guy was still earnestly eating. Its way of eating was different from Xian Xian’s. Xian Xian ate like Tianming had starved her, savoring the food and shouting while eating. Yin Chen, on the other hand, had OCD. It was meticulous and methodical in its actions, so it seemed rhythmic, and its stiff expression would make people think it was eating dung.

Tianming watched as it grew to the size of his head and still didn’t split.

With such a huge individual unit, if it regains hundreds of billions of bodies, the collective combat power should be quite impressive! Tianming thought, feeling somewhat pleasantly surprised.

However, Yin Chen continued eating. It even transformed into a locust to eat faster. Its body continued expanding and it ate faster and faster.

Finally, it finished eating the entire giant axe.

The artifact was large and could be resized, but its true volume was about a hundred times that of a human body. So when Yin Chen finished eating it, Tianming suddenly discovered that it, as a single metallic locust, had actually grown to the size of a human. Without counting its long legs, it was already a meter and a half long.

When such a large metallic insect appeared in front of Tianming, he had the notion of using it as a mount.

Ying Huo maliciously used Tianming’s hand to hit Yin Chen’s head, making a ringing sound. As it rang, it was evident that the little guy’s head was really hard; even harder, in fact, than a sanctuary-class artifact.

Incredible. Tianming had never seen such a large Yin Chen.

”Why’d you... hit me?” Yin Chen angrily said, glaring at Tianming.

”It was Ying Huo who hit you,” Tianming said.

“You think... I’m stupid? I shall... stab you!” Yin Chen was furious and extended its long legs, stabbing toward Tianming’s crotch.

”My goodness!” Tianming’s eyes went dark. What was that all about! Each beast was more ridiculous than the next.

Ying Huo was still smugly laughing and said, ”That’s right, it’s Tianming who’s bullying you. It has nothing to do with me. I don’t even have my own body now. It’s pitiful.”

The beasts were fighting and wrestling using Tianming’s own body now, and he was about to go crazy. Right now, he felt like his head was the only part of his body that belonged to him. Fortunately, his seventh heptastar organ was still his own.

Of course, Tianming couldn’t be bothered with his beasts. What he was curious about at that particular moment was Yin Chen.

It was very proud. After its body transformed into human size, it went off to find its next meal. There were metallic ore fragments everywhere around the Sun.

”I remember in the dream, each individual Yin Chen was as big as Lan Huang. Now it’s only human-sized, which is still good.” Thinking of it that way, Tianming understood it better. The nine hundred and ninety million star evolution would finally make the Primordial Chaos Beasts resemble their terrifying appearances in his dreams to some extent.

Of course, Ying Huo and the others failed. As for Yin Chen, Tianming was basically sure that it had truly succeeded. The problem now was, with such a large and hard individual body, what was its limit for splitting? What new transformations and abilities would it have?

While he was pondering, the proud Yin Chen had already found a fragment of an astralship. It was one of the Lin Clan’s broken Milky Way Greatswords that had fallen apart and was obviously irreparable.

The metal of astralships wasn’t as precisely crafted as that of artifacts, but it was abundant, reaching tens of thousands of times the size of the axe. It was enough for a feast!

From a single tiny cockroach, Yin Chen finally crossed the most difficult hurdle and become a shiny metallic locust one and a half meters long. Its devouring ability had increased exponentially.

It seized a piece of metal and rolled over it. Everywhere it went, it left holes.

Then the time finally came to split!

Within three breaths, two metallic locusts with a length of one and a half meters appeared. Another three breaths, and four appeared. And then there were eight. Three breaths later, there were sixteen!

Tianming blinked, and when he looked again, all the fragments of the Milky Way Greatsword were covered with metallic locusts.

The exponential increase had truly begun.

Yin Chen’s splitting speed was terrifying, and Tianming was already accustomed to it. He finally had the time to catch one of them. Now that there were more bodies, he wasn’t afraid of getting in the way of it splitting.

”With such a large body, how do you eavesdrop? Won’t you be very noisy?” Tianming said.

”Hehe hehe!”
