Beastmaster of the Ages

The military command for the entire army would surely be strictly executed, and the command structure of the Infinitum Bodhimanda army was indeed quite robust. Those astral gods who had just left their ships and were still hesitating, upon receiving the command, immediately rejoiced and rushed back from whence they came.

One after another, the astralships, following Yi Daiyan’s orders, prepared to return to Ebonia.

”Is the first rex mundi fooling around? We’ve gathered for such a long time, drilled for the Flameyellow Guard Formation battlefield, and were just getting ready for a fight. But now she wants us all to go back and attack Ebonopolis?” someone complained.

”It’s different now.”

”What’s different?”

”Now, the beast wall outside Ebonopolis has completely dispersed and six hundred thousand astralships have set out. They’re moving on the surface and underground. Although they don’t have as far to go as we do, we’re much faster moving through space. In other words, once the six hundred thousand astralships have been gone from Ebonopolis for a while, our return might be faster than theirs! Ebonopolis is doomed this time!”

”What?” At that moment, many people finally reacted.

”Great! Completely wipe out Ebonopolis and we’ll be worry free in the future.”

”The beast waves are controlled by the ebons. Once the ebons are wiped out, the wildbeasts will turn on each other and won’t follow the army. Once Ebonopolis is breached, the ebons will only have Shenxi Xingtian left. At most, he’ll only have the bloodline wisteria and the Ebonfiend left!”

”Excellent! Truly excellent! The rex mundi’s decision is excellent!”

”But....”

At that moment, several million astral gods felt a bit numb.

”What about the Swordgod Lin Clan and the Sun? Weren’t we here to support them?” They were the hope of the Sun! Four and a half million astral gods, and not a single one went down? How was the Sun to face seven and a half million astral gods alone—ten times their number?

Just by depending on the Flameyellow Guard Formation?

For a moment, the astral gods were stunned. Most people were quite loyal, so the truth chilled them.

”Does this mean... we betrayed the Lin Clan...?”

”Nonsense! How can it be called betrayal? Our own survival is difficult, and whether we save them or not is our decision. We can’t let our own family and friends die just to save them!”

”The problem is, if it weren’t for their two infinitum-class astralships, we would’ve lost the last battle with the ebons and Greenhill would’ve been wiped out! And not long ago, they helped us destroy half of the beast wall. Our rex mundi made a promise!”

”You don’t understand, don’t talk nonsense. It’s all about interests! I think our rex mundi is right. In a life and death situation, the first thing to protect is ourselves!”

”Nonsense! Our ’difficulties in survival’ were clearly created by the rex mundi herself. If she didn’t mobilize four and a half million astral gods, but just three million to help the Swordgod Lin Clan, we could hold our own territories! Moreover, the Ebonfiend and the beast waves are within our calculations, and they aren’t that terrifying. As long as our rex mundi uses the Infinitum Stele to focus on the Ebonfiend, when it arrives, will Shenxi Xingtian dare to attack? Even now, the situation on Ebonia isn’t as dangerous as we imagine! I feel that the rex mundi is scheming against the Lin Clan!”

When that was said, many people fell silent. But the more they thought about it, the more true it seemed! If it weren’t for scheming, why mobilize four and a half million people, leaving the rear empty, and using the excuse of temporary withdrawal?

The problem was that, even now, she didn’t need to withdraw the entire army. Just return with a million astral gods, and it would be enough to resist the ebons and defend the regal clans. So why withdraw all of them? What did it mean? Clearly, it was to let the Sun perish!

”What’re you doing?!”

The Yishker clan chief, Sayedi, stood up.

”Don’t forget, the Swordgod Lin Clan once extracted Gladeus’ nova source and even monopolized the ownerless nova sources of Myriadstar Zone. They’re traitors to the Infinitum Bodhimanda. Even if they pretend to submit to us this time, they’re ambitious and intend to shake the mundi in the future, making the Infinitum Bodhimanda return to the era of their clan’s dominance! They’re just like the ebons. Are you still speaking up for them? The rex mundi’s right. At this time, she’s just scheming to exterminate greedy wolves!” he roared.

”Isn’t it said that the rex mundi and Lin Feng are mother and son...” someone weakly asked.

Yishker Sayedi sneered, ”If they really are mother and son, they’ve already settled their past grievances. So why haven’t they recognized each other?”

After saying that, she glanced around and said to everyone, ”Any changes in our relationship with the Swordgod Lin Clan are normal. This is just the rex mundi playing a game with all the potential enemies for the future of the Infinitum Bodhimanda! You only need to do one thing: follow the rex mundi’s orders, rush back to Ebonopolis at full speed, and completely destroy it!”

”Yes!” The four and a half million astral gods of the Infinitum Bodhimanda army, with people like Yishker Sayedi doing ideological work, had already made up their minds and definitely wouldn’t come back!

In Greenhill, Yushan Taifeng finally understood what the ’snake’ referred to. It was indeed Shenxi Xingtian, or rather, it referred to the last foundation of the ebons.

”The rex mundi really hates the ebons. In this situation, she chose to return after pretending to cooperate with the Lin Clan so that she could annihilate the ebons. This time, Shenxi Xingtian will probably cry again!

“It’s funny. Before this, Shenxi Xingtian attacked Greenhill twice. It was just a hill, not a mountain, but Shenxi Xingtian kept failing and instead suffered miserable defeats. This time, it was even more exaggerated. He had just come out, and four and a half million astralships had already surged toward his lair! Incredible!

”But doing things this way, it means completely destroying our relationship with the Swordgod Lin Clan. It’s not just a matter of breaking promises, it’s causing a significant strategic misjudgment for them. It’ll accelerate their defeat at the hands of an enemy army more than ten times their size! The first to collapse in this six-way war will be the ebons and the Sun. After eliminating those two tumors of the Infinitum Mundus, there’ll indeed only be us left in the Infinitum Bodhimanda! The problem is, after the ebons and the Sun are gone, we’ll still have to face the wonderians, Myriadpath Valley, and Intrepidus.... What kind of courage does the rex mundi have to dare to face such a situation alone?”

A six-way war! Yi Daiyan had abandoned the two versus four and wanted to go one against five instead! Of course, she was using others as her weapon. She used the wonderians, Myriadpath Valley, and Intrepidus to kill the Lin Clan while she used the opportunity to send troops to lure the snake out of the hole, seizing the chance to annihilate the ebons!

It was all interconnected. The scope, the boldness, was suffocating.

”I really want to see the expressions of Shenxi Xingtian and those people from the Sun. How wonderful will their faces be!” Yushan Taifeng laughed. At least Greenhill would be safe this time.
