Beastmaster of the Ages

Lin Xiaodao had been treating Yin Chen as the greatest of treasures. He even waited on it hand and foot, calling it ‘Master Chen’. It was a true peak of glory to have one’s beastmaster’s master call it master. Yin Chen’s standard of living had risen so high that it now refused to shower if it wasn’t water of the highest quality!

When Tianming mentioned the Inkwell Sea, Lin Xiaodao’s Reaper had been near Skyhold Palace, so he made a detour to pick him up. The giant gray sword descended from the pink clouds and parked beside the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, which didn’t look any inferior in comparison now.

Most of the Lin Clan’s astralships were sword-shaped, as that was the best shape for offense and useful when assaulting astralguard formations. However, the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, with its nine dragon heads and tail-sword, was more like an all-rounder. It highlighted the Lin Clan’s astralship design’s weakness in defense, as well as its comparative fragility.

Still, the Lin Clan, with their swordbeasts and astralships, was a clan that focused on sharpness, ferocity, and offense! They had never lacked courage in their bloodline.

“What the hell?!” Lin Xiaodao clearly remembered Tianming’s astralship wasn’t like this. “From the miniature nova source inside, it’s sanctuary class?”

“Yep!” Tianming said.

“What happened? Can astralships be upgraded? Are you messing with me?”

“It isn’t an upgrade. It was always a sanctuary-class, I just couldn’t control it before. But it recovered now that I succeeded,” Tianming lied as naturally as he breathed.

Lin Xiaodao looked at him, speechless.

“The astralship divine formations could be hidden, but how did its materials change?” That was the impossible part. An ether-class astralship couldn’t be equipped with an upgrading and downgrading function. “Also, why does it look like my Gladean Ruins, but with seven more heads?”

Fortunately, the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb was only sanctuary-class, and a far cry from the Gladean Ruins.

Tianming couldn’t spin tales anymore, so he just laughed, “Ignore that, I have something important to do.”

Lin Xiaodao said, “Sure! But if there’s time, let me research your astralship and see if it’s related to my ruins.”

“No problem!” Tianming also wanted permission to research his Gladean Ruins. Mutual research would be great!

“My analysis tells me that the fewer heads there are, the stronger they have to be.” Lin Xiaodao had clearly guessed the two astralship likely came from the same power.

Tianming could only smile at the analysis.

“Right, Master Chen said you want to go to the Inkwell Sea? There’s something you want there?” Lin Xiaodao asked.

“Yes.”

”The Inkwell Sea is an important stronghold of the ebons and also one of our crucial strategic objectives in the early stages. We’ve already planned out how to eradicate it, so you need to hurry. However, I still need to confirm the specific details with you.” Lin Xiaodao turned serious on the subject of war.

“Please, Master.” Tianming nodded.

“Firstly, how strong is your astralship? Is it really a sanctuary-class?” Lin Xiaodao looked at the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.

“Yes, and it has both high offense and high defense,” Tianming said with confidence.

“Your operation?”

“Competent,” Tianming said.

“Alright, the Black Panther Army is in charge of the assault. They have one sanctuary-class astralship already, so yours will make them even more domineering. As long as you don’t leave your astralship, you shouldn’t be in too much danger, based on my understanding of the enemy experts,” Lin Xiaodao said. He couldn’t accompany Tianming on a private excursion, as he had to manage the entire war as the general. Besides, his most important task was to be ready for the ebons from Ebonia, who could arrive at any time!

“I may leave for the sake of the treasure,” Tianming seriously said.

“Then what about your personal safety?”

“Didn’t my grandparents tell master about how, in the council hall, Little Fish stopped the attacks of Lin Yun and Lin Ziqing? How do their strengths compare to your uncles?” Tianming asked.

“Around there, I suppose.”

“And how many are stronger than them among the enemies on Gladeus?”

“Two are above them and a few are between them. However, they’re all far from the Inkwell Sea,” Lin Xiaodao said. He naturally knew about Moran’s abilities, having brought her here. The three ladies with Tianming were a part of why Lin Xiaodao had been willing to gamble on him. Every single one of them could be described as a miracle!

“Then it’s all good, Master. As long as the Hellstar Formation stands, no one on Gladeus should be able to kill me except you,” Tianming said. Weisheng Moran was worth Lin Zhongtian, and he would be in the top five on Gladeus! Furthermore, her evernight whale wonder and firmament ocean wonder would be very effective in the Inkwell Sea’s marine environment. Her energy supply was endless with the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb too.

“Don’t worry, Master. I’m like a tiger with wings, now that I have the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb!” Tianming grinned.

All of Lin Xiaodao’s issues were about Tianming’s safety. “Fine then, I’ll permit you to join the assault. I’ll let the commander know, she’s my cousin,” Lin Xiaodao chuckled.

Cousin? That would make her Lin Zhongtian or Lin Zhonghai’s daughter.

“One of us? That’s even better.” It would make cooperation even easier.

“She has a fiery temper and likes young men and women, so be mentally prepared.”

“She eats children?”

Lin Xiaodao looked at him, then the three ladies behind him, and had all kinds of regrets.
