Beastmaster of the Ages

Lin Xiong laughed, ”Of course! The second patriarch and I are brothers! He wanted to use the Lin Sword of the Middle at a more opportune time. It’s a pity he was forced to use it here. But it’s okay. I think the crucial thing about it all is for you to see what kind of people they are. Is this really an alliance? Teaming up with outsiders to murder your kin? That’s no alliance. What they’re doing is kneeling and licking, like dogs. Only beasts do that, and are you willing to associate with beasts? Lin Changkong, turn around and look at our ancestral tablets and ask yourself. We can’t live on our knees even if it means dying on our feet!”

Lin Jianxing had done what he did in the fight for the minor ranking, while his elders did the same outside. In the end, they had all received retaliation.

”Lin Changkong, it’s impossible for them to agree to your conditions and treaty. The so-called ’alliance of the strong’ is just a naive fantasy of yours. So what if they agree now? They’ll break the treaty when they’re done swallowing the Swordgod Lin Clan. You might say that the times have changed and everything is different, but let me remind you that the ebons’ worst decline in history was caused by the two successive reges mundi of the Lin Clan. No matter how times have changed, the irreconcilable feud between us will not! The reformists aren’t looking for a way out, they’re condemning the entire clan to death!” Lin Xiong’s voice sounded gruff, but his gaze burned hot.

”Do you think Lin Jie and the others aren’t aware of that?” Lin Changkong retorted.

”They’re aware of it, but they’re taking a gamble. And even if they lose, we are the ones who’ll die. They’ll be comfortable even if they become puppets,” Lin Xiong sneered.

Lin Changkong fell silent in thought. He didn’t want to be the next Lin Xiao. Lin Xiong was right. Lin Xiao had the Lin Sword of the Middle, but he didn’t. Vacantly turning around, he stared at the ancestral tablets in the council hall that seemed to look into his heart like countless eyes.

”Your daughter gave up and returned to the light, and she’s still alive. You’ve lived for so long, so why can’t you understand?” Patting him on the shoulder, Lin Xiong pointed to the screen showing the bees’ nest and said, ”Don’t assume that the Lin Clan is doomed. Take a good look: the future of the Lin Clan lies in four people. As long as they’re well protected, we won’t have to rely on anyone in the future.”

”Who?” Lin Changkong narrowed his eyes.

”Lin Feng and his women.”

”What? With his place on the ranking?”

”No, because he was still a solarian when he first arrived at the Infinitum Swordsea.” Looking up at the sky, Lin Xiong continued with a smile, ”He’s like a fish in water or a bird in the sky. The young beast has returned to his battlefield and no one can stop him!”

”Haha, you’re exaggerating. Look at the one next to him. Who knows if he’ll survive?” Lin Changkong laughed.

”Still trying to argue, eh? Shall we bet on it?” Lin Xiong asked.

”Bet on what?” Lin Changkong replied.

”We’ll bet on Lin Feng’s life, see if he survives Guchi Xiaoyin.”

”What if he lives?”

”Then you stop fantasizing, follow Brother Hu, and carve out a path that truly belongs to our clan. You’re younger than us and you’re more appropriate for the role of the Lin Clan’s pillar of support than Lin Jie!”

”Fine, then it’s all up to Lin Feng.” Lin Changkong stretched. ”I’ll protect him until he grows up if he can create an even greater miracle in that ancestral world!”

......

In the silent cosmos, a giant, dreamy white star shone like the eye of the cosmos. There were many others around it, but they were also engulfed by its white light. That section of the cosmos was a sea of white light, making it the complete opposite of Ebonia. Ebonia was dark, silent, and devoured all light. It was difficult to see without getting close. On the other hand, the white star, and the stars around it, formed a bright sea of stars that seemed endless. Even faraway clusters could see it.

It was Skydome Wondrium, a sixth-level nova source world like Ebonia. Those within the star called it “Wondrium” for short. However, it was three times the size of Ebonia, so the difference between the two was like Skywolf Frost and Skywolf Blaze. Filled with white nova source, Wondrium seemed like a dreamy fairyland at all times. The divine wonderians made up eighty percent of the population on Wondrium and possessed countless wondersky realms.

There were innumerable palaces on the star. The divine wonderians who valued beauty and dreaminess made it magnificent, occupying even the massive world down under. Because of that, there were few nova wildbeasts on Wondrium.

In a misty white spherical palace in the most central area of Wondrium.

”Rex Mundi!” A man in white robes ran into the palace. When he looked up, he saw two brightly decorated cradles on the highest position within the palace. Amidst the white mist, the cradles gently shook. In each cradle was a newborn baby, a boy and a girl. They had delicate skin and chubby little arms and calves, so cute that they could melt the heart. They seemed to have been in a deep sleep, and after being awoken, they rubbed their eyes in displeasure, opening their crystal blue eyes

”Why have you disturbed my sleep?” The baby’s imposing tone and tender voice made for a strange combination.

”Rex Mundi! Etherean Zhaohua perished on Ebonia! Before he died, his caelum escaped into the wondersky realm and sent us shocking news!” The man was extremely excited.

”Ebonia? Speak.” The baby girl’s voice was softer, but her tone was equally imposing.

”First of all, he went to investigate Ebonia because he received news of a disciple there, Li Tianming from the Swordgod Lin Clan who goes by the name Lin Feng. He’s suspected to possess a fallen infinitum-class nova source world that traveled from the Mysterium Cluster to the Infinitum Mundus, passing through the celestial boundary. Its current location is unknown.”

”Suspected to be an infinitum-class world? How’d he come to such an absurd conclusion?” the baby boy coldly asked.

”I sent Zhaohua to Exaltia. There must be a reason for it. We have to investigate,” said the baby girl.

”What other news is there?” the baby boy continued.

The man excitedly looked up, his eyes flickering as he shouted, ”Rex Mundi! Etherean Zhaohua said that Li Tianming has a wife who might be our ancestor Tian Jiu reborn!”

Both the baby boy and girl loudly exclaimed, ”What?”
