Milf Cashback System:Every beauty I spend on makes me richer

Liam woke to the soft chime of the alarm he had set the night before. The hotel room was still and spacious, morning light filtering through the curtains in clean, quiet bands.

For a moment the peace held; then the party surfaced in his mind. Saturday. Almost here. Victoria had already arranged the suit, promising a professional tailor would deliver it to the hotel.

The suit arrived two days before the party, delivered by a tailor Claire had insisted on personally, along with a note that simply read: Don’t argue with him about the fit. He’s better at this than you are.

The garment bag hung in the doorway for a full minute before Liam brought himself to unzip it, the black fabric catching the afternoon light in a way that made it look almost liquid.

Liam tried it on anyway, if only to confirm the tailor’s confidence was earned. It was.

He stood in front of the mirror a long moment afterward, barely recognizing the reflection, the same face he’d worn every day, dressed like someone who belonged in rooms he’d never once imagined entering.

He turned once, slowly, watching the way the jacket moved with him instead of against him, and for a moment the version of himself in the glass felt like a stranger he hadn’t quite met yet.

His phone buzzed with a text from Victoria.

Wear the suit. Smile. Don’t let anyone make you feel like you don’t belong. You earned your invitation.

He read it twice, something in the simplicity of it settling him more than a longer message would have. He set the phone face-down on the dresser beside the hanger and stood there a moment longer before finally taking the suit off, careful with the shoulders the way the tailor had shown him.

Rowena called that evening, her voice carrying the particular edge she reserved for things she found genuinely interesting. In the background he could hear the low hum of her apartment, a television murmuring something he couldn’t quite make out.

”You’re going to Claire’s fundraiser.”Word travels fast.” It’s not exactly a secret. That guest list reads like a directory of everyone worth knowing or fearing in this city.” A pause, longer than usual for her. ”I recognized three names on it.”

Liam waited, phone pressed to his ear, the evening outside his window going gray and then dark while he did. I wish I hadn’t.

”That’s not reassuring.” It’s not meant to be.” Her voice sharpened. ”I’m not saying don’t go. I’m saying keep your eyes open. Rich people fundraisers in this city sometimes attract a rougher crowd than the invitation makes it look.”

”Which names.”

”Not over the phone.” A pause. ”Just watch who watches you back too long. You’ll know it when it happens.”

He sat with that a moment after the call ended, The room had gone fully dark around him by then, and he didn’t move to turn on a light.

The chime hit later that night, unprompted.

[SYSTEM NOTICE]

Predictive Monitoring Activated

Probability of abnormal incident within upcoming event: 31.8%

Continue observation...

Liam sat up straighter, reading it twice, the blue glow of the notification the only light in the room now. ’That’s oddly specific for something you’re calling incomplete.’

[SYSTEM]: Incomplete data still produces a probability. Certainty was never promised, only calculation.

’Thirty-one percent isn’t exactly a warning to stay home.’

[SYSTEM]: Correct. It is not.

He sat with that a long moment, turning the number over in his head. Thirty-one percent wasn’t high enough to skip the party entirely, not with everything Claire and Victoria had already put into it, not with his own name already printed on that guest list where cancelling now would draw more attention than showing up ever could.

But it was high enough to stop him from walking in blind.

[SYSTEM]: Monitoring will continue. Notification will escalate if probability exceeds forty percent.

’And if it doesn’t escalate?’

[SYSTEM]: Then whatever happens falls below the threshold this System considers worth interrupting you for. That is not the same as nothing happening.

Liam set the phone down slower this time, something in that last line landing harder than the number itself had.

He lay back against the headboard and stared at the ceiling for a while, the number sitting somewhere behind his eyes even after he closed them.

He spent the rest of that evening going through small, ordinary tasks he’d been putting off, restocking the cafe’s snack counter for Ethan, replying to messages he’d left sitting for days, calling his mother just to hear her voice complain cheerfully about the neighbors she hadn’t finished meeting yet.

None of it had anything to do with the party. All of it felt, somehow, like preparation anyway, each small task another minute where the number in his head had somewhere else to sit besides the front of his mind.

Ethan caught him near closing, glancing at the suit bag Liam had brought in to hang somewhere it wouldn’t wrinkle before Saturday, the cafe emptying out around them, chairs already stacked on two of the tables.

”Thirty-one percent chance, apparently.”

Ethan blinked. ”Percent of what.”

”Don’t worry about it.” Liam managed a small smile.

”Just watch the place while I’m out. And don’t let anyone talk you into another wall of gaming chairs we don’t need.”

”That was one time.”

”It was three times.”

Ethan laughed, and for a moment the weight sitting in Liam’s chest eased slightly, the familiar rhythm of an ordinary evening doing more to steady him than any percentage had.

He stayed a while longer than he needed to, wiping down the counter that didn’t need wiping, just to sit inside that ordinary rhythm a little longer.

Rowena texted once more before he turned in for the night. Whatever happens Saturday, don’t try to handle it alone if it goes sideways. You’ve got people now. Use them.

He typed back a short reply, something close to agreement, though he still wasn’t sure what using anyone would look like if that thirty-one percent decided to become something real.

He hung the suit on the outside of his wardrobe before bed, smoothing one sleeve flat out of habit more than necessity, the fabric catching the faint light from the streetlamp outside his window.

Forty-eight hours.

Somehow, in the low light of his room, it no longer looked like clothing. It looked like armor.

He was still staring at it when the number crossed his mind one more time, and he wondered, not for the first time that night, exactly which thirty-one out of every hundred versions of Saturday he was about to end up living.
