Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1995: Goddess Meaʼs Message

After a satisfying meal, Alex savored a cup of green tea as they sat across from each other.

Once he finished his tea, he helped clear the table and washed the dishes, feeling a sense of accomplishment in contributing.

It was the time to start the discussion.

”So, what should we do moving forward?” he asked seeking her opinion, he wasnʼt alone after all.

”First, you need to regain your strength. After that, we will focus on replacing your missing arm, but only after you completely absorb the curse,” she replied.

Alex nodded, beginning to understand the reason behind the gradual strengthening he felt in his body with each passing moment. It was thanks to her intervention, he could not help but feel blessed.

He tapped his fingers rhythmically on the table, lost in thought. An habit he had when deep in thoughts. Nyx calmly waited for him to sort out his thoughts and after a few moments, he spoke up.

”We need to search for the others and—”

He paused abruptly as a sudden notification interrupted him.

[Ding! System Synchronization 1%....100%]

Alex waited in silence, and Nyx, recognizing that her master had paused for a reason, anticipated the revelation to come.

[New message from the creator of the system, Goddess Mea. Does the host wish to read this message? Yes/No]

”Yes!” Alex replied without hesitation, and the system began to unveil the message.

A small holographic figure of the goddess materialized in the air, gazing down at Alex. It was Goddess Mea, the same goddess they encountered before transmigrating into the world before coming here. It had been a while since they meet.

”Greetings, Alexander. I hope this message finds you well. I apologize for the way things have unfolded; we were short-sighted. I know youʼve lost much, and this system has been created to assist you in navigating this new world, the Higher World. Before we proceed, I want to assure you that the others are doing fine; most of them are on the other side, while two remains on your current realm, also Iʼve gotten rid of the curse, it wasnʼt too hard because most of the curse was concentrated on you, they doing well, striving in their own.ʼʼ

Alex could now sigh in relief upon learning this news.

Goddess Mea continued the explanation.

ʼʼLet me provide you with a brief overview of the Higher World. This realm is divided into three parts, from the lowest to the highest.

The lowest part is the Outer World, also known as Aethel, where you currently reside. This vast continent is governed by three superpowers: the Empire, the Adventurerʼs Guild, and the Mercenary Guild. Youʼll uncover more as you explore this world.ʼʼ

Alex and Nyx took a moment to absorb this wealth of information, the significance of their new reality quickly settling in.

Afterward, the miniature figure of Goddess Mea projected a 3D map of Aethel. Alexʼs current location was marked prominently in the Eldertree Sanctum, an ancient forest.

They were situated on the outskirts of the forest, with the city of Azurea located a hundred kilometers to the north. This megacity, second only to the capital, was home to the Adventurerʼs Guild. Alexʼs objective was clear: he intended to make Azurea his temporary base.

”Since your status window is currently sealed, you wonʼt be able to see how much it has changed. Things work differently here. To give you a quick overview, hereʼs what the status window looks like:

✧Status Window✧

Name/Race

Class

Level

DIVINITY: ???

Magic: ???

STR: ??

AGI: ??

INT: ??

DEX: ??

Gift: ???

Skills and Abilities:

As Alex observed the new status window, a look of surprise crossed his face before he chuckled. This format was much simpler and more appealing to him.

”Strength (Str): Enhances physical power.

Agility (Agi): Enhances speed.

Dexterity (Dex): Enhances reaction speed.

Intelligence (Int): Enhances magic damage and memory.”

She paused to emphasize her point. ”Just a reminder, in case youʼve forgotten: things have changed. Thereʼs no luck stat anymore, and more importantly, stats arenʼt quantified by numbers but are graded from F to EX.

The power system here is divided into ten levels, or ranks, ranging from Level 1 to Level 10, with the highest being Level 10—the God Realm, the true God Realm. Your previous level of 240 would be considered Level 4 at best, a weak version of a Level 5 Ranker here. Thereʼs no need for experience points; instead, to reach your next rank, you must accumulate karma by defeating stronger monsters or undertaking significant deeds like saving the world or ruling a vast territory. Youʼll discover more about karma as you explore this world. You must have noticed the Divinity stat just below your rank?”

At her question, Alex nodded, eager to learn more.

The miniature goddess continued, ”Divinity is what defines your status as a God. Without accumulating divinity to reach SS rank, you wonʼt be recognized as a God. By the way, from Levels 7 to 9, you are considered a Demigod, and you can begin accumulating Divinity through faith. The more faith you gather from people, the stronger your divinity will become, allowing you to ascend to the final level.”

Alex nodded, processing the information while Nyx remained unfazed, as this system resembled their own.

Not yet finished, Goddess Mea pressed on.

”Mana, spiritual power, and other types of power have been merged to create the Magic stat. Thereʼs no specific place to mention elements because your element can be identified by color. Whether or not you control every existing element doesnʼt matter. The goal of this status window is to simplify things and make them less cumbersome.”

Alex nodded in agreement, appreciating the clarity and simplicity of the new status window.
