Chaos Heavenly Emperor Technique

Chapter 98: Chapter 098: Who is the Expert?

”Elder Lee, you are a Fifth-rank Alchemist, can you take a look at this and tell me if it really is a Medicine Pill that can be used to treat illness?”

Yuan Qianshen held the elixir, looking at it over and over, yet he couldn’t bring himself to ask.

”Better not show it to me,” Elder Lee secretly chuckled to himself, ”Ling Feng’s Alchemy skills are completely beyond my understanding. I can’t comprehend the elixirs he refines.” He guessed, ”But I suppose it should be effective, why don’t you try it?”

”Why don’t you try it!”

Yuan Qianshen glared at Elder Lee, his eyebrows tightly knotted, the foul stench emanating from the elixir made him want to throw it directly into a stinky ditch!

After hesitating for a while, Yuan Qianshen turned and walked into the Cloud Spirit Hall, going straight up to the fifth floor and into the deepest Alchemy Room on that level.

”President Yun, do you have a moment now?”

Yuan Qianshen stood at the entrance to the Alchemy Room, bowing respectfully inside, even more so than when he faced Wen Tingguang.

”It’s Qianshen!”

Inside the Alchemy Room, a white-haired and rosy-cheeked old man, who looked youthful despite his age, was immersed in studying some ancient texts. Hearing Yuan Qianshen’s voice, he nodded slightly, ”Come in, it’s a good time, I’m not busy.”

This white-haired elder was the Chief Alchemist of the Cangqiong Sect and one of the honorary vice-presidents of the Imperial Alchemist Guild, named Yun Danqing.

He was a Sixth level Alchemist, and even considering the whole Sky White Empire, he was a leading Alchemy Grandmaster.

It was said that the Imperial Family had tried to recruit him several times with a generous offer, all of which Yun Danqing had declined, focusing solely on studying various rare and strange elixirs at the Cangqiong Sect.

Nonetheless, he held a pivotal position within the Alchemist World of the Sky White Empire; with a single word or stamp of his foot, he could stir up a storm among the alchemists.

Yuan Qianshen’s own Alchemy Accomplishment, indeed, owed much to some guidance from this Yun Danqing.

The two shared a relationship that was both as master and as friends.

”President Yun, my visit today actually comes with a request; otherwise, I wouldn’t dare disturb your research.” Yuan Qianshen spoke respectfully. Yun Danqing had always been the one who concocted elixirs to help alleviate his condition by resolving the Cold Evil Energy.

Therefore, Yuan Qianshen respected Yun Danqing immensely.

”Oh?” Yun Danqing finally looked up, sizing up Yuan Qianshen and then sighed, ”The Cold Evil Energy in your body is acting up again, isn’t it? Alas, I am only an alchemist. If you want to be cured, you should really consult the Divine Country Imperial Doctors.”

”Hmph, those Imperial Doctors from the Divine Country, all snobbish, barely any of them have real skills!” A trace of hatred flashed in Yuan Qianshen’s eyes, ”I’ve said, even if it means dying from this illness, I won’t seek help from those so-called Daoist Doctors!”

He clenched his fist, took a deep breath, and slowly said, ”I am not here today to seek an elixir to suppress the evil energy, but rather I’ve acquired an elixir that can expel the Cold Evil Energy from my body, and I’d like to ask you to appraise it.”

”Oh?” Yun Danqing’s eyes brightened, ”The Cold Evil Energy in your body is extraordinary; it has integrated into your organs, even into your blood and bones. To completely eradicate it is extremely difficult; there’s actually someone who could refine such an elixir? I must see for myself who this expert is who could refine such an elixir.”

Yun Danqing was secretly astonished; though he was not a Daoist Doctor, as an Alchemy Grandmaster, his medical skills were already far superior to ordinary doctors, and yet someone could actually refine an elixir that could drive out the evil energy from Yuan Qianshen’s body, possibly surpassing his own skills in alchemy.

It must be some senior expert with an immortal’s grace.

Who could this expert be?

Yuan Qianshen’s mouth twitched slightly as he remembered that Ling Feng was just a teenager and was a bit embarrassed to say it out loud.

”It’s better not to mention it. First, help me check the properties of this elixir. No matter how I look at it, something seems off.” Saying this, Yuan Qianshen took out a porcelain bottle from his bosom, and as soon as he opened the stopper, a foul stench immediately assaulted his nose.

Yun Danqing immediately furrowed his brow, ”Is this an elixir or a dog...”

Before finishing his sentence, Yun Danqing held back. Elixirs indeed should mostly smell fragrant, but there are exceptions, including those that are foul-smelling.

Then, Yuan Qianshen took out the elixir, only to see its surface was pitted and not plump at all, and to make matters worse, it was completely irregularly shaped, looking just like a lump of boogers...

Yun Danqing hesitated for a moment, took the elixir, and immediately shook his head with a snicker, ”Qianshen, you must have been played, how can this be called an elixir? It hasn’t even formed the most basic shape of an elixir. With your skills as a Third-rank Alchemist, you shouldn’t fail to see this, right?”

”Eh?” Yuan Qianshen was stunned, hesitatingly said, ”But that person really refined a high-quality elixir, and it’s even an ancient one. Logically, it shouldn’t be...”

”Hmm? Wait a minute...” Yun Danqing suddenly interrupted Yuan Qianshen, looking at the elixir in his hand, he hesitated slightly, ”Wait a moment, let me check some information.”

”Check information?” Yuan Qianshen looked at Yun Danqing puzzled. Yun Danqing was the most skilled alchemist he had ever seen, with few in the entire Sky White Empire surpassing him. Could it be that even he was uncertain about this elixir’s properties?

Yun Danqing walked over to a row of bookshelves nearby and began searching through boxes and cabinets, muttering to himself, ”Hmm, I once saw a very special alchemy method. It seems there were some similar records about it. Elixirs don’t necessarily have to be round. Those irregular elixirs, the pores on them, are due to various toxins neutralizing, so they turn into a pitted appearance.”

”Hold on, let me look carefully!”

Yuan Qianshen was stunned, clutching the elixir in his hand, he said incredulously, ”Could it be that that young man’s alchemy skills actually surpass the President’s?”

Finally, Yun Danqing turned out an old yellowed tome from a corner of the cabinet, excitedly flipping through it, then burst into a loud laugh, ”Indeed, it is this alchemy method, hahaha, Qianshen, that alchemist must have used several highly toxic materials to make his medicine pills, right?”

”Yes, yes, indeed, a lot of highly toxic materials were mixed,” Yuan Qianshen nodded repeatedly.

”That’s right.” Yun Danqing nodded, ”The elixir in your hand is called the Evil Origin Pill, right? How couldn’t I think of this method to transform the Evil Origin Pill? Haha, with this elixir, the Yin Cold Evil Qi in your body is nothing to worry about!”

”Really?” Yuan Qianshen blinked and looked at the elixir in his hand, then looked up at Yun Danqing.

”Mm-hm, I am one hundred percent confident,” Yun Danqing nodded, ”This time you’re really in luck, otherwise, if this root issue isn’t cleared, I’m afraid there’s little hope of advancing further in your lifetime.”

Hearing Yun Danqing’s confirmation, Yuan Qianshen hesitated no longer and immediately swallowed the elixir with a ”gulping” sound. As the elixir went down his throat, a warm sensation spread from his abdomen, devoid of stench and instead emitting a rich fragrance.

”Miracle Pill! A wonderful elixir!” Yuan Qianshen never thought that there could be such a skillfully crafted alchemy in this world.

”Truly, there are always greater talents out there!” Yun Danqing’s face showed a hint of admiration, ”Qianshen, where is this master? May I visit him?”

”Visit...” Yuan Qianshen was stunned by Yun Danqing’s reverent expression, ”President, what do you mean?”

”Don’t you understand? To be able to refine such an elixir, he must be at least Sixth-level Alchemist, but certainly more skilled than me! Shouldn’t we visit such a senior expert?”

”A senior? An expert?” Yuan Qianshen’s jaw almost dropped to the ground.

A seventeen or eighteen-year-old youngster was now a senior expert in the eyes of Yun Danqing?
