Hentai King System

”…Hey. Char.”

”Ah… Rigel-san…”

During lunch break the next day.

As usual, Rigel and Char were meeting in the courtyard of the Royal Academy.

(…It’s okay. Just stay calm and normal.)

Char muttered in her heart as if telling herself.

In the end, she had been safely released by Rave yesterday.

The servants of the Goussel Marquis family had cleaned her body thoroughly, and she had been loaded into a carriage as if nothing had happened.

However, the blindfold had only been removed after she got off the carriage, so she still did not know Rave’s face or the interior of the Goussel Marquis family’s residence…

Even so, just being able to reunite safely with Rigel like this made Char satisfied.

(Yeah. It’s okay.)

”Hey… can I talk for a bit?”

”Yes? What’s wrong?”

”Um… about yesterday…”

Rigel said that and hesitated.

(As expected, is he angry…?)

Due to Char’s carelessness, she had bumped into the noble boy Rave.

She had been blamed for that disrespect and abducted to the Goussel Marquis family’s mansion.

Rigel, who had tried to stop it, had been thoroughly beaten by the escort soldiers.

It was fair to call it collateral damage.

Char thought that, but the words that flew from his mouth were unexpected.

”I’m really sorry! It’s my fault!!”

”…Eh?”

”I know that apologizing won’t make it better! But I just had to apologize!!”

Saying that, Rigel lowered his head.

Desperation could be felt from his appearance.

While puzzled by his attitude, Char replied.

”T-that’s… Please raise your head! Rigel-san didn’t do anything wrong!!”

”No, if I had been more careful, I could have prevented it…”

Saying that, Rigel looked down.

In reality, if he had been watching the surroundings carefully, he might have been able to warn Char before she bumped into the noble boy.

Or if he had been stronger, he might have been able to neutralize the escort soldiers and escape.

Imagining such what-if futures, Rigel seemed to feel pathetic about himself.

”For now, please raise your head…”

”Char… Will you forgive me?”

Rigel fearfully raised his face.

Looking at his appearance, Char smiled.

”There’s nothing to forgive. Rigel-san didn’t do anything wrong.”

”…Thank you!”

Rigel lowered his head again.

(Geez…)

Looking at his appearance, Char let out a small sigh.

(As expected, this person is too kind…)

But that was also part of his charm.

While thinking that, Rigel suddenly opened his mouth.

”Um… and so…”

”…?”

”Um… how should I put it…”

(What’s wrong?)

Char tilted her head.

While glancing at Char’s state, Rigel continued his words.

”Um, well… Did that guy… not do anything to you? Anything strange or…”

”!!”

The moment she heard Rigel’s question, Char’s face turned bright red.

(W-what should I do…!)

To be honest, it was a fact that she had received various humiliations from Rave.

But she could not say that.

”N-nothing happened at all…!?”

(Uuu…!)

Char lied on the spur of the moment, but it was obvious that she was flustered.

He must have felt something off about her attitude.

Rigel narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

”Is that true?”

”I-it’s true! I swear to the gods that nothing happened!!”

(Uuu… I lied to Rigel-san…)

Char was tormented by guilt, but even so she could not tell the truth.

A boyfriend who would support her after she had been raped and injured, and walk together with her again—

That was a very beautiful existence, but most of them only existed in stories.

In reality, a woman who had become dirty would often be discarded.

From a man’s perspective, there was no need to cling to a woman who had been seeded by another man.

(I believe Rigel-san isn’t that kind of person… But there’s no way I can say it…)

Char sighed in her heart.

To her, the acts done by Rave were nothing but a stain.

(At the very least… I want to overwrite it someday with memories with Rigel-san…)

Such a thought sprouted within her.

However, she could not say it out loud.

If she brought that up at this timing, she would definitely be suspected.

But without knowing Char’s thoughts, Rigel asked with a suspicious face.

”Hey… Are you really okay?”

”I-I’ve said I’m okay many times already!”

(Uuu… What should I do… As expected, deceiving Rigel-san hurts my heart…)

While carrying such thoughts, Char piled on more lies.

The guilt within her swelled further.

”I’m a little worried, but… you’re really okay, right?”

”Y-yes!”

”…Got it. I’ll believe you.”

(Uuu…)

Unable to bear the pangs of conscience, Char turned her face away from Rigel.

Then he was the one who spoke first.

”Sorry for asking something weird…”

”No… I’m the one who should apologize.”

Tormented by guilt, Char still could not tell him the truth.

And after that, the topic switched to something else.

”Um… Can we meet during lunch break tomorrow as well?”

”Ah, of course… is what I’d like to say, but actually I have health committee work.”

”Eh…?”

Surprised by the unexpected words that came from Rigel’s mouth, Char asked back.

To her, Rigel answered apologetically.

”Sorry… It seems they’re a bit short-handed…”

”Is that so…”

Char muttered disappointedly.

In order to heal the emotional wounds she had received from Rave, she wanted Rigel to stay close.

But since she herself had said ”nothing happened,” she could not hold him back.

(It can’t be helped…)

Char muttered in her heart as if telling herself, then raised her face as if recovering her spirits.

”I understand! Please do your best with the health committee work!!”

Saying that, Char encouraged Rigel.

In this way, while a bit awkward, the two returned to everyday life.
