Rigel was talking with the cat-ear beast-girl girl from E-class. The Royal Academy is divided into six classes per grade, ranked S, A, B, C, D, and E, from best to worst.

For some reason — whether to stir up rivalry among students or for budget distribution — the treatment of upper classes (S and A) is good, while the lower classes suffer. Among them, E-class is treated the worst.

”Come on, cheer up. Even in E-class, your future is brighter than that of an ordinary person, right?”

Rigel gave her encouraging words. As someone who possessed the cheat skill [Rape], he could have forced a crude scene like ”Shut the fuck up and spread your legs! I’m raping you!!” But he didn’t feel like consuming the new rape candidate that way. He had chosen the option of becoming friends first, then betraying her for a grand rape.

”It’s true that there are graduates who have made a name for themselves from E-class, but…”

”Right? So don’t be so downcast.”

”But in my case, whether I can even graduate is already doubtful.”

”Ah~…”

Rigel understood. The Royal Academy has a fierce competitive culture. First, as I said earlier, each grade is divided into S~E. The top S-class even publicly ranks students within the class. Conversely, the bottom E-class also has harsh rules.

”Was it that students with poor grades or bad conduct are expelled?”

Rigel dug up his vague memories. Before enrollment, he had investigated everything. His temporary tutor had told him many things. He had thought the details of E-class didn’t concern him, so his memory was hazy…

”…Yes. Students like me who barely passed are already having trouble just advancing to the next year. Forget about a transfer exam to D-class… that’s out of the question.”

The girl looked down as she spoke. Rigel took her hand and spoke gently.

”Cheer up. Even if you’re in E-class, as long as you graduate, you won’t have trouble finding a job. And even if you drop out, it’ll be a small plus on your resume.”

Rigel comforted her. In modern Japan, this would be like a famous university student who can’t keep up with classes at all and has zero chance of earning credits — but here, with his knowledge, he knew this was the Kingdom. The Royal Academy’s graduates are highly respected. Even after dropping out, the fact that she entered the academy would still be a minor selling point.

”Yes… But my father and mother borrowed money to pay for my tuition…”

”Hou? So they borrowed money for tuition?”

The tuition for the Royal Academy is expensive. Upper classes get subsidies, but lower classes don’t. For major nobles or wealthy merchants, it’s not a problem even without subsidies… but for commoners, it’s quite steep.

”I plan to repay it generously after graduating… But if I drop out, they’ll start collecting. If that happens now, then… I don’t know what to do.”

Rigel understood. If there was no debt, dropping out would be no big deal. He would lose the prestigious title of ”Royal Academy graduate,” but he would simply return to his pre-enrollment situation. At worst, he could use the title ”Royal Academy graduate (later dropped out)” as a minor selling point for jobs.

”But with this much debt, that won’t work. My parents borrowed the money with the assumption that I would graduate and earn a lot. If I drop out now, I’m screwed.”

The girl explained. For someone who is already barely keeping up with classes, missing school is a life-or-death issue. Their gap with the other students would widen. Their impression from the teachers would also worsen slightly. Whether the academy has some kind of ”attendance points” is unclear, but it won’t help — it can only make things worse.

(…She really is pitiful)

Rigel felt a strange emotion as he listened to the girl’s story. He loved rape. He loved raping a maid who was living a normal life. He loved raping war captives. He loved forcing a foolish girl who had challenged him to submit. But he had never felt like raping a girl who was already weak.

He wasn’t particularly kind. He loved stealing their dignity through rape. If he couldn’t steal anything from them, rape had no meaning.

(Then…)

Rigel thought. How could he have a pleasant rape with this girl?

Rigel was hearing the story from the cat-ear beast-girl girl. She sounded like she had an extremely harsh situation.

”I see… That must be tough.”

Rigel gave her words of comfort. Raping a girl who was already weak was boring. It was no longer fun rape — it was just using a living fleshlight. For Rigel, that was no different from masturbation. So he decided to cheer her up instead.

”Don’t worry about it. You’re in S-class, right? You don’t understand how hard it is to be a fallen person…”

”It’s not like that at all. I’m the biggest dead weight in S-class too.”

”Eh?”

The girl was surprised.

”You don’t know? I’m the lowest-ranked student in S-class. I get bullied by the elites every day.”

Of course, it was a half-lie. She was at the bottom of the class, but no one was bullying her. The opposite was true — the girls he had raped in S-class served him every day in secret.

”Eh? The bottom of S-class…?”

The girl looked startled as she started to say something. Logically, if you could even enter S-class, you’re outstanding. So why should the bottom of S-class be such a big deal? That’s what she was probably thinking.

But that way of thinking also applied to her own situation. The Royal Academy itself was an elite institution. Even before the exam, she was already far better than the average person. So the fact that she was placed at the very bottom of her grade as a fallen person shouldn’t matter. What she should be worried about was simply avoiding expulsion for poor grades.

”We’re in the same boat, aren’t we?”

”Ah…”

At Rigel’s words, the girl tried to speak but fell silent. Then, after thinking for a while, she slowly opened her mouth.

”…You’re a strange person.”

”Strange? What do you mean?”

”In S-class, everyone seems to have an elite mentality. I thought they were all incredibly proud…”

”Hou~ I see.”

The girl’s words made Rigel nod.

(The elite mentality, huh… Well, that’s not wrong.)

Rigel thought to himself sarcastically. He certainly had a high sense of pride. As the heir of a Marquis house and someone who possessed the cheat skill [Rape], he had lived freely in this world. He would continue to do so. But to keep his rape life varied and pleasurable, he could afford to drop his pride a little. That was all.

”There’s no class division between us. Let’s be friends, okay?”

Rigel said that and held out his hand for a handshake.

”Eh…!!”

The girl hesitated, but eventually took his hand with reluctance.

(Perfect)

Rigel smirked inwardly while they shook hands. He had become friends with the fallen E-class cat-girl. She was not his previous rape toys like Ero-Ra or Oriana, nor was she a classmate friend like Nessis or Testarossa. She was now his officially equal friend — a girl from S-class who was supposed to be far superior to an E-class girl.

This imbalance could become the foundation for some very pleasurable rape in the future. Rigel’s crotch was already starting to swell with anticipation.

”Um…”

”Hm?”

Still holding hands, the girl spoke up.

”You shouldn’t tell anyone that we’re friends.”

”Hm?”

”If anyone finds out that an S-class student is getting along with me, an E-class girl… Bad rumors will spread…”

”…!”

The girl’s words made Rigel fall silent. She was right. There was no rule against being friendly with someone from a different class. But it was very likely that rumors would spread if someone saw them getting close.

”It’s none of my concern.”

”But…”

The girl tried to say something else.

”I don’t care who you are. I only become friends with people I like. That’s just how I am.”

”...!!”

At Rigel’s words, the girl’s face showed shock. She thought for a moment, then spoke.

”…You really are a strange person. To think an S-class student would bother with someone like me…”

”What’s wrong? You don’t like it?”

”…No.”

The girl shook her head at Rigel’s question. Then she smiled faintly.

”Your words are correct. Whether I’m an E-class fallen girl or not, who I become friends with is my choice.”

”Mm, I see.”

Rigel nodded at the girl’s words. Then he pulled her into a hug.

”Alright! As a greeting, I’ll give you a service!”

”Eh!? Wh-what are you—?”

The girl was bewildered by Rigel’s actions. Rigel activated magic toward her.

”—[Heal]”

”!! What is this…!?”

The girl’s body was wrapped in light. She was surprised at first, but the light quickly faded. The magical glow that had enveloped Rigel and the girl slowly disappeared.

”What did you do?”

”A little recovery spell.”

”Recovery… magic?”

The girl looked at her own body. She felt no fatigue or drowsiness from earlier. Her unwellness was completely cured. She could now attend afternoon classes without any problems.

”Why…?”

The girl muttered in disbelief. Rigel began to explain.

”I said it, right? This is a greeting. Let’s be friends from now on.”

Rigel smiled gently at the girl. The girl blushed as she looked at his face.
