Warhammer Divine Throne

”Even if mortals give it their all, they might not be a match for the Chaos Army. If it’s truly necessary, Nagash can resurrect all the undead in this world, and then perhaps we might have a fighting chance.” The Lake Fairy closed her eyes. ”So, my original plan was that, if needed, I could sacrifice the interests of mortals to resurrect Nagash.”

”What a terrible idea.” Laine said, filled with disappointment, but he was also somewhat helpless. Even his father, the Emperor, was forced to collaborate with the Death God of the Eldar after his resurrection. ”But sometimes it’s like that... However, my Lady...”

”Still calling me Lady?!” The Lake Fairy stared at Laine with an unfriendly look. She put down the Holy Grail and walked up to Laine.

”Uh... Lady Lilith...” Laine said with difficulty.

”It’s Lilith!” The Lake Fairy used her small hand to pat Laine’s shoulder.

”Alright... Lilith, what I mean is, maybe you don’t need to seek help from the undead, at least not Nagash. Nagash and the vampires he created are treacherous creatures that have broken alliances countless times in history. These vile and untrustworthy beings are not to be trusted.” Laine stroked his chin, dismissing the Lake Fairy’s opinion.

”But if that’s the case, the power of mortals is not enough to fight the Chaos Army.” The Lake Fairy fixed her gaze on Laine. ”However, Laine, after meeting you, I’ve changed my mind. Your existence proves that it’s not just us against Chaos, right?”

Laine didn’t answer, he simply nodded slightly.

”That’s great!” The Lake Fairy’s brows cleared of worry, and the goddess happily threw herself onto him, kissing him on the cheek. ”As expected, you are the best gift that Subspace has given me. That fool White Wolf Yurik doesn’t know how to use you at all.”

”Don’t be too proud too soon, my la... Lilith. If you can’t create certain conditions for me, I won’t be able to summon reinforcements either.” Laine picked up the Lake Fairy and placed her on his lap. Looking at the unparalleled beauty of her face, he seemed to remember something and deliberately said, ”I heard from the Forest Lord Delina that every new moon night, Alaros takes his beloved falcon to patrol the woods, hoping to meet the beautiful Lilith Goddess once more~”

The voice of the Divine Chosen Champion carried an inexplicable strange tone.

”Ah!” The Lake Fairy let out a long sigh, covering her face with her hand, as she sat on Laine’s lap, shaking her head in distress. ”I really don’t know how to explain this. Alaros is... After he woke up, he went around telling people about meeting me and saving me. Over time, almost all the Wood Elves knew about the relationship between Alaros and me. At first, they thought Alaros was fantasizing about me, but with the rampant spread of rumors, you know, my Champion, the Eslelin usually stay hidden in the forest, leading long and dull lives. At night, lighting a bonfire and telling stories together is one of their few pleasures.”

”Understandable... Hahahahaha!” Laine couldn’t help but laugh out loud, his eyes squinted with laughter, covering his face with his hands, laughing brazenly.

The Lake Fairy felt extremely embarrassed, and even the goddess herself couldn’t help but smile.

Yes, in the long lives of the Wood Elves, aside from war and festivals, they seldom interact with the outside world, and their lives are quite dull. Laine could imagine this story being constantly adapted by the Wood Elves around the bonfire until it became something else entirely.

”Just as you imagine, Laine, the story about Alaros and me gradually got distorted beyond recognition, spreading all kinds of rumors about the goddess marrying down, acts of gratitude, and even on-the-spot encounters in the wilderness, among other stories. Of course, all the Wood Elves knew these weren’t true. They were just mocking Alaros’s improper thoughts in this way.” The Lake Fairy picked up the wine glass from the table and took a small sip. ”Alaros also completely misunderstood my intentions. After he chose to become Queen Airel’s Divine Chosen Champion, he could no longer be my Divine Chosen Champion.”

”Ultimately, it was you who broke the promise first. Before Alaros became the Divine Chosen Champion of the Forest Queen Airel, you had already made me your Divine Chosen Champion.” Laine pointed out the Lake Fairy’s unethical behavior.

”Since I have you, I don’t need Alaros anymore, my Champion.” The Lake Fairy shook her head. ”In every sense, you are superior to Alaros. You can effortlessly provide me with energy, allowing me to easily travel in and out of the Prime Material World. You possess strong will and power and are the nemesis of Chaos Corruption. With you and Tygris, it’s enough.”

”What do you think about the possibility that the Duke of Borelion might be hiding Nagash’s Nine Volumes?” Laine changed the topic, his facial expression unchanged.

”Gods for gods, mortals for mortals. It is inappropriate for me to interfere beyond the King and Mogiana, but I will closely monitor the progress of this matter.” The Lake Fairy continued to arrange everything, her pink lips moved, uttering enticing words, ”Feel free to take action, my Champion. I am your solid support.”

”Then I need to unify the power of the entire country to prepare for the potential third Chaos Invasion soon. Even if I want to become... is that still possible?” Laine said seriously.
