My Mosquito Clones Are on a Killing Spree

Chapter 75: Chapter 64: Origin

”Yes, Teacher!”

Lin Yi had been itching to try, and at his teacher’s words, he immediately snatched up his Owl Dragon Long Spear.

He held his breath and focused his mind. Following the circulation method described in the *Water Source Spear* Secret Manual, his Qi and Blood began to flow through the meridians in his body along a specific path.

HUM!

A faint current of air spread out from him.

The muscles on his arms bulged. Following the method of the charging technique, he began to layer his Qi and Blood!

The First Layer, completed with ease. Power gathered in his arms.

The Second Layer, completed without a hitch. His Qi and Blood churned, and his sense of power multiplied.

The Third Layer, still smooth! His arm grew slightly warm.

The Fourth Layer. His sense of power suddenly leaped to a new level, like a creek flowing into a river!

Proficient Level, achieved in an instant!

However, Lin Yi didn’t stop.

His Qi and Blood were still layering.

Fifth Layer charge.

Sixth Layer charge.

By the time he reached the Sixth Layer charge,

he could feel the flow of Qi and Blood in his arm become labored, as if it were about to go out of control.

”Now!”

A sharp glint flashed in Lin Yi’s eyes!

He twisted at the waist, drawing power up from the ground, channeling it through his legs and torso, and pouring it all into his arm!

”Break!”

He let out a low roar!

The Owl Dragon Long Spear became a silver line tearing through the air, carrying a terrifying might that far surpassed his own cultivation level as he thrust it forward!

BOOM!!!

It was like a clap of muffled thunder exploding on flat ground!

A violent shockwave erupted from the spear tip, instantly spreading out and kicking up a fierce wind inside the training room!

The spear’s shaft vibrated intensely, letting out a hum like a dragon’s roar!

Nearby, Zhang Quan, who had been watching with rapt attention, looked as if his eyes were about to pop out of his head!

His mouth hung slightly open, his entire body frozen in place as if he’d been hit by a petrification spell!

’Sixth Layer charge!’

’Micro Level!’

’This... How is this possible?!’

Shockwaves crashed through Zhang Quan’s mind!

’He knew Lin Yi had a solid foundation, so a quick start was to be expected.’

’He had expected that if Lin Yi could stabilize a Fourth Layer charge and reach the Proficient Level on his first try, it would already be a display of monstrous talent!’

’He had even mentally prepared himself for the possibility that Lin Yi could only manage a Third Layer charge.’

’But...’

’Sixth Layer?!’

’Micro Level?!’

’On his very first attempt, without even a warm-up, he skipped right past the Proficient Level and went straight to the Micro Level?!’

’This was beyond what ”monstrous” could even describe!’

’This talent for the spear... it’s practically...’

’...inhuman!’

”Teacher?”

Lin Yi lowered his spear and stood straight, letting out a long breath. He could feel a slight numbness in the meridians of his right arm, as if countless tiny needles were pricking him—the strain from the instantaneous burst of a six-fold concentration of Qi and Blood.

He shook his arm and looked quizzically at the dumbfounded Zhang Quan.

Zhang Quan snapped back to his senses. Forcibly suppressing his inner shock, he tried to make his voice sound calm and even.

”Ahem... See? I’ve said it before: the more solid your foundation, the faster your progress!”

”Your ability to reach the Micro Level on your very first try is proof of your mastery at the Control Level in basic spear arts—a solid foundation leading to a massive breakthrough!”

”Remember, no matter what earth-shattering, peerless Martial Skills you learn in the future, you must never neglect the fundamentals! You must hone them daily and review them constantly!”

”I understand. Thank you for your guidance, Teacher,” Lin Yi said with a firm nod.

”Good, as long as you understand.” Zhang Quan clasped his hands behind his back, doing his best to maintain the air of a grandmaster, but the slight twitch at the corner of his mouth betrayed his inner turmoil. ”Continue your Cultivation. Strive to master the charging technique to the Control Level as soon as possible!”

”Yes!”

With determination in his eyes, Lin Yi turned, spear in hand, and walked to the center of the training room.

’A solid foundation?’

Lin Yi silently asked himself, then inwardly shook his head.

’No, it isn’t just a matter of my foundation.’

He knew his own situation as if looking into a clear mirror.

He was perfectly clear about his own situation.

’With my current foundation in the spear arts, just as Teacher Zhang Quan said, I should only have been able to barely execute a Fourth Layer charge.’

’Earlier, when I layered my Qi and Blood to the Fourth Layer, the violent power within my arm’s meridians began to surge wildly, like a horse that had broken its reins, on the very brink of going out of control.’

’Every attempt to reach the fifth layer was met with a tearing, swelling pain and an uncontrollable throbbing.’

’However!’

’Just at that critical moment, as the fifth layer charge was about to fail and my Qi and Blood was about to go completely berserk!’

’A cool stream of energy suddenly emerged from the depths of my kidneys!’

’That was the ”Kidney Water” Spiritual Essence stored within my kidneys!’

’This cool sensation instantly flowed through my entire body, not only calming my agitated Qi and Blood.’

’It also brought a flood of new insights to my mind.’

’A trace of incredibly profound insight into the Water Realm surfaced spontaneously!’

’Water is both supremely gentle and supremely resilient. It can accommodate a hundred rivers, yet it can also destroy mountains and split stone!’

’Under the guidance of this cool intent, the Qi and Blood that had been on the verge of exploding miraculously grew docile. Like a tamed tidal wave, it layered smoothly, completing the fifth and Sixth Layer charges!’

’Kidney Water Spiritual Essence...’

’Water...’

Lin Yi’s chest heaved slightly as thoughts raced through his mind.

The *Water Source Spear* was a Martial Skill that allowed one to cultivate two kinds of intent: First Grade Spear Intent and First Grade Water Intent.

For an ordinary Martial Artist, cultivating Spear Intent was easier than cultivating Water Intent.

After all, a spear is a physical object with fixed forms and movements. There are patterns to follow and stances to rely upon. With a spear in hand, through relentless tempering and accumulated experience, one might eventually have a flash of inspiration and touch the threshold of Spear Intent.

But Water Intent?

That was as difficult as ascending to the heavens!

Water seems tangible and omnipresent.

Yet it is formless and shapeless, capable of taking on ten thousand forms. It is supremely soft and weak, yet it can pierce stone and shatter mountains. It is all-encompassing, vast and boundless...

This grandeur and abstraction left countless Martial Artists who attempted to comprehend Water Intent completely lost, with no idea where to even begin.

But for Lin Yi, it was the complete opposite.

He possessed the Kidney Water Spiritual Essence!

This was equivalent to carrying a trace of the Origin of Water within his very body!

He had a natural affinity for water; he was a child of the element.

With the guidance of this Origin, comprehending Water Intent was actually a clearer and more direct path for him than methodically tempering his Spear Intent!

This was a clear and tangible path to power!

’Perhaps... with this Kidney Water Spiritual Essence, I can complete nine layers of charge at a speed far beyond that of an ordinary person, and push the *Water Source Spear*’s charging technique to the Control Level in one fell swoop!’

A brilliant light flashed in Lin Yi’s eyes, his confidence more resolute than ever before.

The charging technique of the *Water Source Spear* was created in imitation of the great power of the ocean tides—the might of Overlapping Waves!

With the Kidney Water Spiritual Essence, a form of the Origin of Water itself, he was in a near-constant state of epiphany.

How could his path of Cultivation possibly be difficult?

With this realization, everything became clear.

All hesitation and distracting thoughts vanished.

Lin Yi took a deep breath, sank into a low stance, and planted himself firmly in the center of the training room.

The heavy Owl Dragon Spear in his hand let out a low hum as he gripped it tightly.

He let his consciousness sink completely within his body, following the circulation method of the charging technique to layer Qi and Blood in his arm.

At the same time, he actively stimulated his kidneys, drawing out a continuous stream of cool energy from the Kidney Water Spiritual Essence and guiding it through the meridians of his entire body.

As he layered his Qi and Blood, he focused his full attention on capturing and comprehending the True Intent of Water that flowed along with that cool energy.

SHREEE!!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The sharp whistle of the long spear tearing through the air and the dull roars from each explosive release of layered Qi and Blood began to echo, collide, and overlap rhythmically within the sealed training room.

Before he knew it, time had flown by.

Sweat had long since soaked through Lin Yi’s training clothes, clinging to his bulging muscles.

But he remained completely oblivious, his mind and body fully immersed in this profound state of Cultivation.

He had completely lost all track of time.
