My Mosquito Clones Are on a Killing Spree

Chapter 66: Chapter 58: Seizure

He acted on the thought at once.

Lin Yi didn’t hesitate in the slightest.

With a flash of thought.

His fist-sized Mosquito Avatar shot like a bolt of lightning toward the nearest massive rat cage, which was packed with over ten thousand rats!

Inside the cage, the swarm of rats writhed, emitting a pungent, nauseating stench. They were a single, dark mass, letting out ear-piercing squeals.

A single glance was all it took for Lin Yi to understand the situation.

Among the more than ten thousand rats, the vast majority were ordinary. Only about a hundred of them had an extremely faint fluctuation of Qi and Blood, barely meeting the threshold for Martial Apprentice Level rat demons.

However, for Lin Yi, who urgently needed to grind skill proficiency, the targets’ level was completely unimportant.

After all, none of them could provide any Qi and Blood feedback, making them nothing more than punching bags for grinding proficiency.

The Mosquito Avatar was a high Level 13, and its body was even a full size larger than many of the ordinary rats in the cage!

It precisely locked onto an ordinary gray rat trembling in a corner. Its wings vibrated at a high frequency as it dove down with ferocious momentum!

Its long proboscis, gleaming with a cold light and as hard as refined steel, pierced through the target’s tough fur without any resistance and plunged deep into its body with a soft PUFF.

The [Paralysis] skill activated instantly!

BZZZ!

Toxin surged through the proboscis and flooded into the rat!

The gray rat didn’t even have time to struggle. Its body abruptly stiffened, its limbs instantly went rigid, and its small eyes filled with absolute terror.

Immediately after, its heart seized up and stopped, and its life was extinguished in an instant!

’Just as I thought.’

Lin Yi understood.

’When used against a Martial Artist, the effect of the [Paralysis] skill is greatly diminished. At most, it numbs their perception of the wound, but it’s difficult to completely paralyze their movements.’

’But against these ordinary rats with no Martial Arts Cultivation and weak Life Force, it’s an unstoppable, lethal poison that kills on contact!’

[Paralysis Proficiency +1!]

A system prompt appeared before his eyes.

Lin Yi didn’t pause for a moment. The Mosquito Avatar lightly withdrew its blood-tipped proboscis, its compound eyes flashed red, and it instantly locked onto the next target!

The slaughter continued, efficient and cold.

Time slipped by amidst the shrieks and deaths of the rat swarm.

The Mosquito Avatar was like a tireless reaper, darting at high speed through the crowded cage.

The corpses inside the cage piled up at a visible rate.

[Paralysis Proficiency +1!]

[Paralysis Proficiency +1!]

[Paralysis Proficiency +1!]

[...]

On the system panel, the notifications spammed the screen like a torrential downpour, so dense they almost merged into a silvery-white waterfall!

Nearly an hour passed.

The number of ordinary rats that had died by the Mosquito Avatar’s proboscis had reached a staggering tens of thousands!

The entire rat cage area was saturated with the thick, suffocating stench of blood.

Just then.

As the Mosquito Avatar once again pierced the neck of a plump rat and injected its toxin—

[Paralysis Experience Points +1!]

[Paralysis LV 10 (999/1000) → Paralysis LV 10 (1000/1000)!]

[Skill [Paralysis] has reached max level. Limit break conditions met!]

[Perform limit break on skill [Paralysis]?]

’It’s here!’

Lin Yi was ecstatic.

’This is the moment I’ve been waiting for!’

Without a shred of hesitation, he gave the command decisively:

”Yes! Limit break, now!!”

[Performing limit break...]

[Limit break successful!]

[Skill [Paralysis] has completed one limit break sublimation!]

[Paralysis (Limit Break 1)]: Your neurotoxin has undergone a fundamental transformation! The toxin can be continuously stacked and accumulated within the target, causing their movements to slow and their thoughts to stiffen! This potent poison cannot be immunized against! This potent poison cannot be cured! This potent poison cannot be dispelled! The poisoned individual can only rely on their own mental and physical metabolism to slowly expel the toxin from their body!

’Huh?!’

Lin Yi carefully absorbed the new information about the limit-broken [Paralysis] skill, his mind slightly shaken.

’At first glance, it doesn’t seem to have the same kind of qualitative leap as [Blood Sucking] did after its limit break—which gained the ability to ”draw Origin matter,” a truly Divine Skill. The effects still revolve around ”paralysis” and ”slowing.”’

However...

’But the combination of these traits—”toxin can be stacked,” ”cannot be immunized against,” ”cannot be cured,” ”cannot be dispelled,” and ”can only be slowly cleared through the body’s own metabolism”—allowed Lin Yi to instantly grasp its hidden, terrifying potential!’

’This means...’

’As long as enough toxin accumulates, even high-grade Martial Artists with powerful bodies who are virtually immune to ordinary poisons... won’t be able to withstand it!’

’This limit-broken poison is incredibly domineering. It ignores conventional rules of resistance!’

’Even if a god were to descend, once afflicted by this poison, they wouldn’t be able to use their divine might to instantly nullify or cleanse it. They would have to endure its corrosion and rely on their own body to slowly metabolize it!’

’This ”cannot be immunized against” trait alone is enough to qualify it as one of the Divine Skills.’

’Its only weakness is that it’s too slow to take effect!’

’It can’t kill instantly.’

’The toxin needs to be stacked to achieve the heaven-defying effect of slaying a god.’

’It’s a super trump card for strategically weakening powerful enemies!’

’Used cleverly, it’s enough to turn the tables at a critical moment!’

With the skill’s limit break successful, his objective was achieved.

Lin Yi had the Mosquito Avatar hover in mid-air, its cold compound eyes scanning the vast underground factory.

The deaths of tens of thousands of rats were just a drop in the bucket compared to the massive stock here.

Hundreds of thousands more living creatures were stirring restlessly in their iron cages.

Lin Yi couldn’t be bothered to waste time dealing with them one by one.

The Mosquito Avatar quickly flew away from the rat cage area.

In a supply storage area in the corner of the factory, it found several large barrels of spare gasoline.

Its strength was astonishing; it easily lifted a barrel and then zipped at high speed throughout the entire underground space.

Thick, pungent gasoline was evenly splashed onto the rat cages, into the corridors, and beside the support pillars...

The air instantly filled with the strong smell of gasoline.

After doing all this.

The Mosquito Avatar flew back to the blood-soaked office.

It easily grabbed the six bulging burlap sacks of cash, which reeked of ink.

Its gaze swept over the Weapons scattered on the floor. It then used a tough rope it found to securely bind the five Spiritual Weapons belonging to Vulture and his men, lifting them as well.

Although the Mosquito Avatar was only the size of a fist, as a First Grade Demon Beast, its strength far exceeded its size. It carried this astonishingly heavy loot with ease.

The moment it flew out of the underground factory’s entrance, one of its long, steel-needle-like hind legs, carrying immense force, scraped hard against the sharp edge of a protruding rock on the ground!

SCRAPE!

The ear-piercing sound of metal on stone rang out, and a trail of dazzling sparks suddenly shot forth!

The sparks landed precisely on the gasoline-soaked ground behind it.

BOOM!!!

It was like lighting a barrel of dynamite!

A violent blaze instantly erupted, spreading like a wildfire with unstoppable momentum, madly consuming the entire underground space!

The scorching heatwave rolled out, pushing the Mosquito Avatar forward.

The iron cages twisted and warped in the intense heat, and the desperate screams of the hundreds of thousands of rats inside were instantly drowned out by the deafening roar of the inferno.

Thick smoke billowed out from underground, surging toward the sky.

The Mosquito Avatar didn’t linger, carrying its heavy spoils as it sped towards Yang City at top speed.

「In mid-flight.」

Lin Yi began to take stock of his bountiful harvest from the night:

’Over six million in cash!’

’As for the Spiritual Weapons, there are three large Tier One Spiritual Weapons. Even at the lowest second-hand market price, they’d sell for at least 300,000 each! And two small Tier One Spiritual Weapons, which should fetch 100,000 each, no problem.’

’That’s 1.1 million in total!’

’Added together, that’s 7.1 million!’

Lin Yi calculated quickly, sighing to himself:

’What a pity... I can’t take those hundreds of thousands of burnt rats to the health department to exchange for a bounty. That would have been another few million!’

’And also...’

’For destroying such a large-scale, nefarious illegal underground factory and source of the rat infestation, the special bonus and informant reward from the Public Security Bureau should be at least a million, right?’

Lin Yi felt a pang of regret.

’Unfortunately, I’ll have to give up on that credit too!’

There was no way to explain his source of information. He couldn’t exactly say his Mosquito Avatar discovered it, could he?

And it would be even harder to explain the bizarre state of the corpses in the factory.

Burning everything to the ground, destroying all traces, was the cleanest and most decisive option.

’Oh well... I’ll just have to achieve great things in secret!’

Lin Yi quickly came to terms with it, deciding to look at the bigger picture.

He had the money in hand; safety was the top priority.

The Mosquito Avatar was extremely fast. Before long, the familiar silhouette of Yang City appeared in the night.

Lin Yi didn’t fly directly back to Zhang Quan’s villa. After all, the huge amount of cash and the Spiritual Weapons of unknown origin would be hard to explain.

He guided the Mosquito Avatar to land silently at the door of his familiar, dilapidated home in the tenement building.

It entered the room through the window and safely stashed the six sacks of cash and the five bundled Spiritual Weapons under the bed.

’Done!’

’Tomorrow, I’ll just make up an excuse and come get it with Zhang Quan.’
