My Mosquito Clones Are on a Killing Spree

Chapter 63: Chapter 55: Assassination

Nearly ten miles south of Yang City.

Over a dozen towering, mountain-like peaks of garbage rose from the ground, emitting a suffocating and nauseating stench.

Urban waste from all over Yang City was sorted and transported here, awaiting processing or recycling.

On the surface, it was just an ordinary, large-scale garbage disposal plant.

However, on the perception map from his Mosquito Avatar’s Tracking Skill, Lin Yi clearly discovered that there was more to this place than meets the eye.

The ground beneath the garbage plant had been completely hollowed out. He could sense dense life fluctuations from rats, numbering in the hundreds of thousands!

’Twelve First-Grade rat demons, five First-Grade Martial Artists, and one hundred twenty-three ordinary gang members.’

In an instant, Lin Yi grasped the full extent of this illegal factory’s forces through his Tracking perception map.

A cold killing intent coalesced in his heart.

With a flicker of his thoughts,

The Mosquito Avatar, in a state of absolute stealth, passed silently through the rusty, barbed-wire fence surrounding the factory grounds like a ghost merging with the air.

The seemingly tight security of the constantly rotating surveillance cameras was rendered useless; they didn’t even detect the slightest ripple.

In an open area of the factory grounds, several men in black combat vests, their muscles knotted like lumps of iron, leaned lazily against a modified, mud-splattered off-road vehicle crudely welded with menacing steel plates. Cheap cigarettes dangled from their mouths.

The bulges at their waists clearly indicated hidden weapons, yet their hawk-like eyes vigilantly scanned the desolate and silent junkyard around them.

These were the sentries for the illegal factory’s perimeter.

Lin Yi’s Mosquito Avatar completely ignored these small fry.

Mere Martial Disciples weren’t even an appetizer for the Mosquito Avatar.

Killing them now would only alert the real targets underground.

To catch the bandits, first catch the king!

Lin Yi’s strategy was simple and deadly.

First, he would use thunder-like speed and force to eliminate the five core Martial Artist leaders underground. Then, he would turn back and slowly clean up the rat demons and the riff-raff on the perimeter!

Inside the factory, cameras were as dense as a spider’s web.

Although they couldn’t penetrate the Mosquito Avatar’s top-tier stealth, if a few grunts on the perimeter suddenly dropped dead as desiccated corpses, it would undoubtedly alert the Martial Artists below.

Under Lin Yi’s control, the Mosquito Avatar easily found the entrance to the underground factory and slipped through a crack in a damaged ventilation shaft.

The scene inside the underground factory was completely different from the dilapidated exterior!

The area below had been converted into a massive, brightly lit underground space.

Rows upon rows of huge iron cages were packed tightly together, filled with tens of thousands of massive, mutated rats with crimson eyes and exposed fangs!

They were frantically gnawing on mountain-like piles of garbage mixed with special feed, producing skin-crawling CRUNCHING sounds and sharp squeals.

The air was thick and foul, filled with a bizarre mix of acrid musk, blood, and chemicals.

In the center of the entire breeding ground, a dozen giant cages made of high-strength alloy were particularly conspicuous.

Inside each cage lay a terrifying giant rat, its body the size of a small calf!

Their fur was an eerie dark red, covering knotted muscles. Their scarlet eyes gleamed with cruelty and cunning, and they radiated a ferocious Demon Qi far exceeding that of the ordinary giant rats.

First-Grade rat demons!

Females!

They were the ones continuously breeding these ferocious swarms of rats.

Lin Yi glanced at these prey but wasn’t in a hurry to act.

He directed his Mosquito Avatar to continue flying swiftly toward the five Martial Artist life sources marked on his perception map.

Inside the factory, many gang members in dirty work clothes were struggling to carry buckets of thick, foul-smelling feed, carefully pouring it into the troughs of the iron cages.

Faced with the rats that frantically fought, bit, and slammed against the cages, the men’s faces were etched with numb fear.

Lin Yi didn’t pause, zipping past them with a clear objective.

Just then, the five Martial Artists were gathered in a relatively clean office.

The office, located deep underground, seemed to have good soundproofing, barely managing to block out the deafening shrieks of the rat swarms outside.

The five men were gathered around a heavy metal table. In the center, a dense pile of cash was stacked so high it almost formed a small mountain!

The rich smell of ink and the unique scent of money temporarily overpowered the stench from outside.

A skinny Martial Artist was reporting with a fawning smile to the bald, middle-aged man in the head seat, who had a grim gaze and a dangerous aura:

”Boss, our shipment volume has exploded over the last half-month! A full seven million! After paying the informants who move the goods, we’re left with a net profit of six million!”

The bald man, however, just snorted coldly and rapped his knuckles hard on the tabletop:

”Seven million? Six million? It’s too little! Not nearly enough! We have to increase the shipment volume! This bit of cash isn’t even enough to pick my teeth with!”

A Martial Artist next to him, wearing a gaudy, patterned shirt, looked worried and quickly tried to persuade him:

”Boss, we really can’t increase the volume! The Public Security Bureau has been on us like a pack of hungry wolves lately, the heat is on! If we push more product, we won’t be able to cover our tracks, and they’ll follow the trail right back to us!”

A vicious glint flashed in the bald man’s eyes, and his voice held an unquestionable finality:

”I don’t care! Seven days! I’m only giving you seven days! You have to clear out all the goods in the warehouse! Then we abandon this base! We’ve been here long enough. If we drag this out any longer, the bloodhounds from the Public Security Bureau will sniff us out sooner or later! No one will be able to escape then!”

The other Martial Artists in the room looked at each other, but no one dared to argue.

They knew full well they were in a business of licking blood from a knife’s edge. Everyone understood what it meant to be targeted by the Public Security Bureau.

Staying in one place for too long was tantamount to digging their own graves.

A burly, fleshy-faced Martial Artist, whose muscles nearly burst through his vest, stared at the mountain of cash on the table, couldn’t help but lick his lips, and asked in a gruff, booming voice:

”Boss, so... when are we splitting the money?”

His eyes glittered with unconcealed greed.

”Yeah, Boss, the boys have been waiting for this!”

”It’s time to split the cash, right, Boss?”

The others immediately chimed in.

The atmosphere instantly grew eager and greedy.

All of them stared intently at the mountain of cash.

”Hmph! Short-sighted fools!” the bald man snorted, his gaze sweeping over the men. ”Relax. When have I, Vulture, ever mistreated my brothers? You’ll get what’s yours, down to the last penny!”

”The boss is wise!”

”I knew the boss was the most loyal!”

”We’ll get rich following the boss!”

The Martial Artists immediately beamed with joy, their flattery endless as they greedily reached out, ready to pull their share of the wealth into their arms.

At that very moment, the Mosquito Avatar controlled by Lin Yi silently slipped into the office.

’Hmph, a bunch of riff-raff.’

Lin Yi locked onto his targets through the Mosquito Avatar.

In his eyes, these Martial Artists, along with the rat demons, were all just walking packs of Qi and Blood!

The Mosquito Avatar first locked onto the young man in the flowery shirt, who was closest to the door and stuffing money into a cloth bag.

It landed silently on the skin of his nape.

The young man was completely unaware, still joyfully stuffing his bag with cash.

Its sharp proboscis, like the finest syringe, pierced his skin in an instant!

[Paralysis LV7] activated!

”BZZZ...”

A cold, numbing toxin was instantly injected!

The young man in the flowery shirt felt nothing, still stuffing his bag with fistfuls of cash.

After a full day of hunting during the Red Moon disaster, the Mosquito Avatar’s Paralysis Skill had already reached LV7!

Its potency was enough to have a significant effect on the formidable nerves of a First-Grade Martial Artist.

While it couldn’t paralyze him instantly and completely rob him of his mobility, it could perfectly numb his perception of a mosquito bite!

The moment the paralyzing toxin took effect,

Lin Yi unhesitatingly activated his core skill—

Blood Sucking!

BZZZ!

After breaking its limit, the efficiency of the [Blood Sucking] skill was terrifying!

Like opening the valve on a high-pressure fire hose, the surging Qi and Blood in the young man’s body was drawn out frantically by the Mosquito Avatar’s tiny proboscis, like a bursting dam.

The speed was far beyond what an ordinary person could imagine!

The ecstatic joy on the young man’s face instantly froze, replaced by extreme horror and confusion.

He felt a violent, world-spinning dizziness wash over him, as if all the color was draining from the world in an instant.

His arms became incredibly heavy, as if filled with cold lead, and even lifting a single finger became an impossible luxury.

He tried to open his mouth to call for his companions, but his throat could only manage a ”HURK... HURK...” sound, like air leaking from a broken bellows. He couldn’t even form a single proper syllable.

Boundless terror instantly overwhelmed him!

”THUD!”

His body went limp like a puppet with its strings cut, and he pitched forward heavily, slamming onto the money-piled table with a muffled thud.

At a speed visible to the naked eye, his body rapidly stiffened and shriveled.

”Hahaha, Fourth Brother, what the hell’s wrong with you? Fell asleep counting money? Or did you wear yourself out so much on some broad’s belly last night that your legs gave out?”

The fleshy-faced Martial Artist closest to him laughed heartily, reached out with a hand as large as a cattail fan, and roughly shoved the flowery-shirted man’s shoulder.

However, with that push, the man in the flowery shirt slid limply off the table and fell heavily to the ground with a BANG.

”Fourth Brother?”

”Hey! Stop playing dead!”

The raucous laughter in the room died abruptly.

As their gazes focused on the fallen man, a chill shot up from the soles of their feet straight to the crowns of their heads!

The body of the man in the flowery shirt... where was there even a trace of a human left?

His skin was like dried tree bark that had been baked under the scorching sun for decades, a dead, ashen gray color pulled taut over his bones. His sunken eye sockets were empty and lifeless.

In just a few seconds, a living, breathing, powerful First-Grade Martial Artist had been turned into a desiccated corpse that looked as if it had been weathered in a desert for decades!

In an instant, everyone in the room was dumbstruck by the horrifying scene!

...

「At the same time.」

Far away in a villa within the city,

Lin Yi, who was sitting cross-legged, felt his body tremble slightly.

[Qi and Blood +0.5!]

[Qi and Blood +0.5!]

[Qi and Blood +0.5!]

[...]

Feeling the rich Qi and Blood being fed back from his Mosquito Avatar,

Lin Yi didn’t hesitate at all. He sat cross-legged on the floor, circulated his Bone Tempering Skill, and began to quickly temper his tenth rib!
