The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1532: Chapter 609: Money Power

When describing her family to others in the past, Cui Min’er would generally say this—

”I grew up in Seoul. My dad works as a mid-level employee within the system, and my mom’s family has been in business for generations, so she’s also now a businesswoman with a touch of crass commercialism...”

This explanation was decent enough, and even when she was in Korea, she told this to classmates she wasn’t very familiar with.

Of course, the real situation was...

Cui Min’er’s father was originally just a workshop technician in a private factory, which belonged to her fiancé’s family enterprise. It was only after she got together with her fiancé that her dad became the head of that workshop. It might sound like he was in charge of a dozen people, but in essence, he was only a mid-to-low level employee.

As for her mother’s family being in business for generations...

Well, if owning a stall that sells carp bread and stir-fried rice cakes counts as a legacy, then yes, it spans several generations.

She was indeed a Seoul native.

It’s just that she grew up in ”Jiulong Village,” located on a steep hillside.

It was Seoul’s largest shantytown, famously known as the ”slums,” where the houses were mostly built by residents themselves using simple materials like planks, corrugated metal, and plastic sheets, stacked terraced-style against the hills.

Just across the wall was the shiny and bright Gangnam District, where her fiancé, Oppa Yu Bin, lived.

Facing Zhou Wang’s inquiry at this moment, Cui Min’er was not embarrassed and honestly revealed the truth.

”I have a younger brother who’s in middle school, and my grandma lives with us too. Even if I’ve moved out now, our home is still quite cramped... Our family’s biggest dream is to move out of Jiulong Village and into a new, spacious, and bright house.”

Cui Min’er thought for a moment and added, ”It was because Oppa Yu Bin told my parents that after our official marriage, he would gift a brand-new apartment to our family. That’s why my parents agreed so readily, and my family is very grateful to Oppa Yu Bin.”

”Apartment?”

Zhou Wang raised an eyebrow, somewhat taken aback.

After all, in his view, an apartment wasn’t anything special. If he had promised a villa or something similar, he might understand.

Seeing Zhou Wang’s thoughts, Cui Min’er explained, ”In our Korea, due to the limited land, an apartment is considered a very good house. It’s the dream of many middle-class families and young couples to own a convenient high-rise apartment...”

Zhou Wang pondered and realized.

He couldn’t judge Korea by Huaxia’s standards. In Huaxia, an apartment might not be much, but in Korea, it probably was considered a very good house.

Those standalone houses with private gardens are either in the suburbs or exclusive to financial tycoon families.

”How much in total have you benefited from being together with that Park Yubin?”

Having roughly understood Cui Min’er’s family situation, Zhou Wang tapped his fingers as he asked.

Cui Min’er, only wearing a thin nightdress, was sitting sideways on Zhou Wang’s lap. As the hem of her dress rose, her smooth and plump thighs were exposed, and the tapping of Zhou Wang’s fingers left soft, slippery dents on them.

But due to Cui Min’er’s long-term fitness routine, those ripples quickly vanished, leaving only a tantalizing touch under Zhou Wang’s fingers.

As she felt Zhou Wang’s direction slowly climb upwards, Cui Min’er’s cheeks flushed slightly, but she subtly parted her legs a bit to allow Zhou Wang his liberties.

Forcing herself to shift her focus back to her memories, Cui Min’er thought for a moment and said:

”Yu Bin... Park Yubin gives me a monthly allowance, averaging around five million Korean Won per month. Additionally, he sometimes buys me gifts, which I’ve kept track of. The total value of the gifts might be about thirty million Korean Won...”

”If we were to tally it all up, including the airfare he covered for my study abroad in Huaxia, the total over one year is about 100 million Korean Won, give or take a little.”

Cui Min’er quickly calculated with her fingers and came to a conclusion.

”100 million Korean Won, if I’m not mistaken, is roughly equivalent to 500,000 RMB?”

Zhou Wang asked.

”Yes, yes...”

”Isn’t that Park Yubin from a wealthy family?”

Zhou Wang displayed a hint of doubt, incredulously saying, ”You’ve been together for over a year, and he’s only spent half a million on you?”

Cui Min’er initially wanted to say is 100 million Korean Won little? Her parents work their fingers to the bone all year and barely earn 20 million Korean Won, which is just over a hundred thousand RMB.

And the annual income of an ordinary middle-class family in Korea is only around 300,000. The amount Park Yubin has spent on her already exceeds the annual income of such middle-class families, so it shouldn’t be considered little...

But Cui Min’er quickly remembered when the four of them first met Zhou Wang, he quietly bought a gift worth 700,000 RMB for Yu Duo, and couldn’t help feeling disheartened.

In comparison like that, 500,000... does seem pathetically little.

Cui Min’er’s body lightly trembled, her rosy cheeks quickly expanding. While holding Zhou Wang’s mischievous hand between her smooth thighs, she mumbled a bit as she explained:

”Mm~ Park Yubin is just the second son in his family, he doesn’t have full inheritance of the group’s assets... Ugh, their family group is only mid-tier among the financial tycoon class in Korea... Of course, there might be another side reason, mm hm~”
