The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1505: Chapter 596: Another Old Acquaintance

Under the introduction of the female assistant, the group entered the hotel lobby and took the dedicated elevator on one side straight to the third floor, where the spa center was located.

... To be honest, part of it wasn’t quite as Zhou Wang imagined.

Having long heard about the high-end spas on Ao Island, Zhou Wang thought these shops might be located right on the street, forming a dazzling cluster of buildings like the legendary Thai Empire Bath...

But perhaps this is the subtlety unique to Huaxia people; there always has to be some twists and turns to shield it, like the spa center in front of him. It wasn’t until reaching the third floor that he realized its lobby’s luxury was no less than the hotel’s ground floor, even more so.

Yet, it wouldn’t be directly set on the first floor. You have to enter the hotel first and take the elevator as part of the process.

In addition, the spa centers on Ao Island are scattered in various places, not very friendly to those unfamiliar with the routes... unless you can extract a guide from the chaotic online information yourself.

”Mr. Zhou, I’ve already contacted in advance, the manager of the spa center is waiting for you in the lobby, I’ll wait for you downstairs. If you need anything, feel free to call me.”

The female assistant sent by Li Youlong said timely.

After all, she was a woman and perhaps was concerned that her presence might make Zhou Wang feel restrained, so she said this.

Zhou Wang took a glance and indeed saw a group of people already waiting in the lobby. He nodded immediately, eagerly striding forward, while Xiao Wang quietly followed suit.

Upon reaching the lobby, a smiling manager came up first. Just as he was about to say something, a voice filled with surprise and joy came from behind him:

”Brother Dog?”

This seemingly familiar yet strange voice made Zhou Wang raise an eyebrow.

Damn, what day is it today, running into another acquaintance?

If it were the normal state of Zhou Wang, he might feel a bit awkward.

But he had almost no sense of shame right now, so he looked up, quickly meeting the eyes of the person speaking.

Behind the manager, a young man in a neat suit with a name tag on his chest and a crew cut was looking at him, slightly excited and dazed.

”Brother B?”

After a moment of surprise, Zhou Wang also felt a bit delighted, ”How the hell are you here?”

Hearing the unrestrained words in Zhou Wang’s tone, the crew-cut man finally dared to step forward. Just when hesitating, instead, Zhou Wang laughed and gave him a punch first.

Brother B, full name Wang Qiaobin, was Zhou Wang’s senior in college, the guide during Zhou Wang’s first visit to the SPA club. The Golden Palace and Jade Palace in Ming City were his family’s properties. Zhou Wang’s smooth help in redeeming Yun Rou and Yun Lan sisters was also thanks to his connections.

Moreover, Zhou Wang’s initial acquaintances like Young Master Zhang and Tang Yiming were also through his introductions.

It’s quite emotional to say the least, initially, Brother B was in the same circle as Tang Yiming and others, but as time changes, Brother B has gradually faded from this circle, especially after leaving Ming City, Zhou Wang hadn’t heard from him for a long time.

Originally, when the ”nephew group” was established, Zhou Wang considered and added him into the group, but Brother B was almost inactive, basically a transparent person there.

Zhou Wang understood that it’s not that he didn’t want to speak, but rather he couldn’t really engage.

The last time they contacted was when Magic City’s Wangzhou Group was established. Brother B sent him a congratulatory message along with an ”8888” WeChat red envelope... Zhou Wang actually sent him an invitation, but he didn’t come.

Zhou Wang didn’t accept his red envelope, merely replied with an emoticon saying ”brothers in heart”, and that was it.

Since then, they had no more contact.

But Zhou Wang never expected to meet him at the spa center on Ao Island, and Zhou noticed the name tag on his chest indicating the position of ”Assistant Manager”.

”I was sent by my family to learn things here.”

Wang Qiaobin scratched his head. Seeing Zhou Wang still a bit puzzled, he explained, ”My fourth uncle came here to develop a long time ago, and he has some shares in this spa center. I’m essentially on an overseas exchange, you know, the bathhouse industry also needs to keep up with the times... When I return to Ming City, I’m going to choose a location and open a spa on my own.”

Listening to Wang Qiaobin’s explanation, Zhou Wang suddenly realized.

Brother B’s family ranked in the top three in Ming City’s bathhouse industry, especially when the environment was more relaxed in earlier years, worthy of being called a ”leader”.

They were also a typical family-run enterprise, perhaps adhering to the principle of ”not putting all eggs in one basket”. Coupled with drawing on the successful experience of Wang Qiaobin’s father, various uncles and aunts of Brother B went abroad early to spread the business, wanting to spread the spring breeze of bathing to more places.

Among them, Brother B’s fourth uncle was the most successful, establishing a foothold on Ao Island straight away.

Brother B, one year senior to Zhou Wang, had graduated for nearly two years and had been helping with various family businesses. From what he said, it was apparent his experience was sufficient; his father was ready to fund him to independently set up a store, but from location selection to opening, it would all be up to him personally.

This led to Brother B’s trip to Ao Island, where he had been for almost two months, preparing to make a big move when he returned.

”Not bad, kid, seems like we’ll have to call you Mr. Wang in the future!”
