The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1038: Chapter 387: Joy Guide_2

He had already promised it was his treat, so he surely wouldn’t be happy with anyone else spending even a dime. Who do they think they’re looking down on!

”I’m not ordering; I just want to change the song and listen to something else.”

Zhou Wang explained with a smile.

He couldn’t be bothered worrying about how to complete the following tasks. For now, he’d start with the simple ones and let the rest happen naturally... there are always more solutions than problems.

”Uh, Zhou Wang, don’t you think they might really pay attention to you?”

Wang Lijia said with some amusement, ”In places like this, their DJ playlists are all pre-arranged. No matter how much you spend, they couldn’t possibly play what you want.”

”Well, what if they do? You’ll never know unless you try.”

Zhou Wang just shrugged.

The first task required him to drink while listening to his ”favorite music.” Although there are many songs Zhou Wang really likes, counting on the DJ booth to just happen to play one of them was too much of a gamble, so Zhou Wang planned to manually intervene.

What Wang Lijia said is correct; solely relying on consumer spending is indeed unrealistic. If every customer only wanted to hear their favorite songs, chaos would ensue in the bar.

But come on, Zhou Wang is currently the largest shareholder of BSK, so this place is essentially his turf... couldn’t he have a bit of privilege?

Therefore, Zhou Wang was not worried about his small request being rejected. Even if the waiter didn’t know him, someone must surely know his name.

Just as Wang Lijia was about to say something else with a laugh, the waiter returned, followed by a man who looked like a manager.

Everyone was surprised; could Zhou Wang’s request really have been responded to?

The manager bent down and politely spoke to Zhou Wang, ”Sir, I’ve heard you’re not quite satisfied with the music we’re currently playing?”

”Not dissatisfied, just want to hear something different...”

”Sorry, we have rules, and indeed cannot fulfill your request. Please understand.”

”Didn’t he tell you my name is Zhou Wang?”

Zhou Wang was taken aback and then glanced at the waiter beside him.

”Uh, sir, he did convey your name to me, but I’m sorry, we really have regulations, and no matter who it is, it can’t...”

”You don’t recognize me?”

Zhou Wang interrupted him with a frown.

Seeing the manager still shaking his head cluelessly, Zhou Wang felt somewhat puzzled.

This is odd; during the last BSK internal gathering, he had heard Shao Xiaoqi’s mother Luo Meiling mention that besides those whose shares were held on behalf, the names of other shareholders would be listed in BSK’s management system. This was mainly to ensure they could enjoy shareholder rights at any branch nationwide.

Could it be that his name was not updated yet?

Zhou Wang couldn’t understand it, but he didn’t want to grab the manager by the collar and introduce himself; that would be too degrading.

Moreover, the manager’s attitude was not problematic, so Zhou Wang could only wave his hand helplessly indicating he understood.

After the manager left, Wang Lijia, Zhao Bin, and others burst into laughter.

”Whoa, Zhou Wang, I have to say, you almost convinced that manager; he clearly hesitated for a moment from your bluffing, you nearly succeeded!”

”Learned something new, next time I go somewhere to spend, I’ll first catch the manager and ask ’Don’t you know who I am?’. It might actually get me some perks...”

”Or we can go to Night Owl later and continue. That way we can actually request any song we want!”

Their joking naturally bore no malice, and no one could really understand Zhou Wang’s frustrations, including Xu Wenqian.

The BSK-related matters have been handled by Jiang Qingkui while Xu Wenqian only knew Zhou Wang had acquired a bar, but didn’t know it was BSK.

The first task was failed, which slightly affected Zhou Wang’s mood, but fortunately, the second task was quite easy to complete. After integrating with Wang Lijia and others, and playing several rounds of games together, the second task turned green and displayed as ”completed.”

Only then did Zhou Wang become joyful; it seems the system still had some conscience, at least it didn’t rigidly stick to the words ”five friends” as a strict requirement, treating it as a general description rather than demanding five close friends.

”Yo, isn’t this Young Master Jian? How come you’re sitting in a booth... let me see, only two bottles of Hennessy V, two bottles of XO, this doesn’t fit your Young Master Jian’s style. You shouldn’t say Louis XIII, at least a full Divine Dragon Set, right?”

As Zhou Wang’s spirits were lifted and he clinked glasses with everyone, a teasing voice accompanied by the sight of a rather flamboyantly dressed young man bending down the aisle and patting Young Master Jian’s shoulder.

His voice was quite loud, so even in the clamor, everyone could vaguely hear him.

Zhou Wang glanced at the Richard Mille Watch revealed on the young man’s wrist and instantly categorized him as another rich kid like Young Master Jian. It was apparent that although they knew each other, their relationship was not good.

When the young man spoke, the group of young men and women following him stopped and folded their arms, laughing and watching the scene.

Zhou Wang’s eyes scanned over them, then he paused as he faintly recognized someone among them. But that person happened to have their head lowered, making it hard to see clearly.

Young Master Jian’s brows furrowed deeply, he slapped away the young man’s hand on his shoulder with an expression of disgust, ”Bao Jin, are we close? Get lost!”

”Of course, we’re close! How could we not be? I even took the bottle you threw at me home to keep—it’s a testament to our friendship!”

The young man named Bao Jin still maintained a smiling appearance, but his tone was gritted with resentment.
