Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

The meteor was blasted thousands of meters away, yet it swiftly curved back, returning even faster than before.

A Skeletal Divine Warrior stepped in front of Lin Moyu and brought its axe crashing down.

Boom!

The meteor was blasted away again, but Lin Moyu noticed it hadn’t sustained the slightest damage. Its durability was astonishing.

The so-called meteor was actually a glowing sphere roughly three meters in diameter, radiating streams of brilliant light as it streaked through the sky.

After being knocked back, it looped through the sky before diving once more, its momentum even more astonishing than before.

The Skeletal Divine Warrior swung its axe again, blasting it away.

Still completely unharmed, the meteor wheeled around and charged back.

By the third exchange, it had grown noticeably larger, and its power had increased significantly.

Lin Moyu narrowed his eyes, ”Just as I thought… it absorbs attacks.”

It had first absorbed the force of his punch, then the attacks of the Skeletal Divine Warrior.

By assimilating that power into its own, it became stronger each time.

This ability to absorb attacks and return them back was exactly what he had heard about before entering the secret realm.

Flashes of law rippled across the meteor. It was this law that allowed it to seize external power and convert it into its own.

As long as that law remained intact, the meteor would continue growing stronger until it exceeded his limits.

Lin Moyu immediately thought of two countermeasures.

In fact, both had been mentioned before he entered the secret realm, and his observations now perfectly matched those accounts.

The first was to break the law directly.

The second was to overwhelm the meteor by feeding it more power than it could contain, forcing it to self-destruct.

However, he also knew from the conversations he overheard that meteors came in different grades. The stronger the meteor, the stronger its law, and the more power required to destroy it.

The meteor charged again, and the Skeletal Divine Warrior continued with its attack.

Again and again, the skeleton blasted it away, only for the meteor to return stronger each time.

Eventually, the Skeletal Divine Warrior could no longer send it flying. Instead, it was pushed backward by the impact.

Without a Lich General’s buffs, the Skeletal Divine Warrior possessed attack power equivalent to the 1st tier Transcendent God realm.

After several exchanges, the meteor had expanded to over five meters in diameter, and its impact force had surpassed the 1st tier Transcendent God realm.

Lin Moyu summoned a Lich General.

With the Lich General’s buffs, the Skeletal Divine Warrior’s attack power immediately rose to the 2nd tier Transcendent God realm.

The meteor was blasted away once more.

Yet it remained completely unscathed. It arced through the air, trailing a brilliant stream of light before charging back with even greater speed and force.

After several more exchanges, the meteor’s power climbed to the 3rd tier Transcendent God realm.

Lin Moyu then summoned a Death Knight. Stronger than the Skeletal Divine Warrior, it struck the meteor with overwhelming force and sent it hurtling away once again.

Even so, the meteor remained undamaged.

Lin Moyu carefully examined the law surrounding it.

The law itself wasn’t particularly powerful, yet its application was extraordinarily ingenious.

With every clash, it continuously absorbed external force and transformed it into its own strength.

”Let’s see where your limit is.”

With a flick of his finger, a Skeletal Divine General appeared.

It was Lin Moyu’s strongest summon, even superior to the Death Dragon Knight.

Once fully enhanced by multiple buffs, its attack power could reach the 5th tier Transcendent God realm.

The Skeletal Divine General raised its sword, and a razor-sharp sword qi flashed across the sky.

Slash!

The meteor split cleanly in two.

The law surrounding it shattered instantly, severed along with the meteor itself.

The cut was so flawlessly smooth that its surface resembled a polished mirror.

Lin Moyu inspected the remains and discovered that the meteor’s composition was surprisingly ordinary, consisting mainly of common metal.

It was the law imbued within it that had made it so formidable.

”A meteor that starts at the 1st tier Transcendent God realm requires 5th tier Transcendent God power to destroy.”

”That’s a difference of four tiers.”

”If one begins at the 3rd tier Transcendent God realm, wouldn’t it require the 8th tier Transcendent God power to break?”

”This secret realm is classified under level two authority, which is intended for 3rd to 5th tier Transcendent Gods.”

”It shouldn’t demand such overwhelming power. There has to be another method.”

Deep in thought, Lin Moyu continued onward.

He was convinced that destroying the meteors through brute force was not the intended solution.

That also explained why so many had failed.

The proper method should be to dismantle the law imbued within the meteors.

And laws could only be countered by other laws.

The law contained within the meteor itself was not particularly powerful.

As he advanced, another meteor descended from the sky, locking onto him.

This time, Lin Moyu did not attack. Instead, he flicked out a strand of law.

The law of undeath landed on the meteor, instantly unleashing the decaying power of death.

Before the meteor could absorb anything, the law surrounding it collapsed.

”That simple?” Lin Moyu frowned.

The ease of it caught him by surprise.

”But if it’s really this simple, how could even 3rd and even 5th tier Transcendent Gods fail? There must be something I’m overlooking.”

He continued deeper into the secret realm.

The secret realm itself was remarkably straightforward, containing only a single path.

All he had to do was keep moving in the direction from which the meteors flew.

More and more meteors rained from the sky, each effortlessly neutralized by the law of undeath.

Gradually, however, Lin Moyu noticed something.

The deeper he ventured, the stronger the meteors became.

Pressure slowly mounted.

The law embedded within the meteors had begun to erode the law of undeath.

Although they still couldn’t absorb the law and strengthen themselves, the effectiveness of the law of undeath was steadily diminishing.

One strand of law was no longer enough.

It now required two. Then three.

Eventually, the law of undeath ceased to be effective altogether.

Although the meteors still couldn’t absorb its power, neither could the law of undeath destroy the law within them.

The two reached a strange equilibrium.

Lin Moyu understood better than anyone how powerful the law of undeath truly was.

Although he was only a 1st tier Transcendent God, and his mastery of the law of undeath had reached 2%, the inherent quality of the law meant that his 2% mastery was comparable to the laws wielded by 4th-tier Transcendent Gods.

At the Transcendent God realm, every tier increased one’s law mastery by roughly 1%.

A 9th tier Transcendent God would therefore possess 10% mastery over their law.

Lin Moyu’s own mastery stood at 2%, equivalent to a 1st tier Transcendent God.

Even so, he knew that his 2% mastery could rival or even surpass the 5% or 6% mastery of a 3rd tier elemental law.

Such was the difference between the tiers of laws.

Most elemental laws belonged to the 3rd tier, and the overwhelming majority of Transcendent Gods cultivated precisely those laws.

The law of undeath, however, was regarded by Antares as a 1st tier law, standing alongside the laws of time and space.

Being several times stronger than 3rd tier laws was only natural.

Antares had already demonstrated this back in the small world.

After arriving in the greater world, the trial had proven its superiority once again.

Now, however, the law had reached a stalemate with the law embedded within the meteors.

That meant the meteors’ law had become extraordinarily powerful.

If a 5th tier Transcendent God wielding nothing more than a 3rd tier elemental law possessed around 6% mastery, they would likewise only manage a stalemate against the meteors.

That explained why even 5th tier Transcendent Gods failed to clear this secret realm.

The meteors continued to multiply, hurtling toward Lin Moyu in an endless barrage, each one stronger than the last.

This time, he made no attempt to retaliate. Instead, he allowed the meteors to crash directly into him.

White light shimmered across his body.

Relying on his astonishing defensive power, Lin Moyu ignored the attacks completely.

His gaze remained fixed on the falling meteors as he pondered the mystery before him.

”Something isn’t right.”

”If even 5th tier Transcendent Gods can’t clear this place, then it should be utterly impossible for those at the 3rd tier Transcendent God realm.”

”There must be a detail I’ve overlooked… And that detail is the true key to clearing this secret realm.”

”So what exactly am I missing?”
