Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

While Lin Moyu was immersed in the soul-forging sensation of the Blueluster Fire, a startled cry from Shiling broke his focus. Lin Moyu, too, was a little surprised.

From the start, Shiling’s temperament had been unpredictable, yet there was no denying that, as a soul from a bygone era, his knowledge far surpassed that of the present age.

To this world, that ancient era was one of power, prosperity, and brilliance—you could hear it in every word Shiling spoke.

Though he never said it outright, his disdain for the current age was always implied.

What Lin Moyu didn’t expect, however, was for Shiling to be shocked by the Domain Divine Stone.

Ever since obtaining it, Lin Moyu had infused the stone with his murderous aura but had never actually used it.

The reason was simple—he didn’t know how. Still, he could tell it wasn’t an ordinary item. And now, seeing even Shiling so astonished confirmed that instinct.

Shiling stared at him in disbelief, “You actually possess a Domain Divine Stone.”

Still enduring the soul-forging blaze, Lin Moyu gritted his teeth and asked, “I got it by chance. What does it do?”

Shiling’s astonishment deepened, “You don’t even know what the Domain Divine Stone does... You truly are one of a kind.”

Lin Moyu didn’t bother to argue. There was no point. As expected, the ever-talkative Shiling continued on his own.

“It’s true, the Domain Divine Stone won’t be of much use to you right now. But once you reach the Transcendent God-level, it’ll become handy.”

Before Lin Moyu could respond, the Domain Divine Stone suddenly flew toward him, radiating a strange pull.

The Blueluster Fire burning across his body was instantly drawn into it.

That wasn’t the end of it. The stone shot toward the Blueluster Flower, plunging straight into its core.

The Domain Divine Stone greedily devoured the blue flames clinging to the flower.

The once-transparent stone was soon suffused with a strange bluish glow, and even the black murderous aura within it transformed into a brilliant blue sheen.

When it had absorbed its fill, the Domain Divine Stone returned to Lin Moyu’s body in a flash.

“You’re quite fortunate.” Shiling said, “That’s a high-grade Domain Divine Stone. Even in my era, such treasures were exceedingly rare.”

With the fire gone, Lin Moyu felt an overwhelming sense of lightness and relief.

Still, a faint trace of disappointment lingered. His soul had indeed strengthened, but he knew it could have grown far stronger had the Domain Divine Stone not interrupted and taken the Blueluster Fire midway.

Lin Moyu asked, “So what exactly does the Domain Divine Stone do?”

Shiling chuckled, “It’s not much use to you right now, but after absorbing all that Blueluster Fire, it’ll bring unexpected benefits to your soul.”

“You’re really lucky, Kid. Back in our time, high-grade Domain Divine Stones were treasures people fought and died for.”

“Is it better than a Talent Divine Stone or a Skill Divine Stone?” Lin Moyu asked.

Shiling snorted, “Obviously. Talent Divine Stones are common; they can’t compare. Even Skill Divine Stones fall short.”

“Seriously, Kid, your luck’s off the charts. I’m starting to think you might be this age’s chosen one.”

“With that Domain Divine Stone and all the Blueluster Fire it absorbed, you’ll be able to awaken part of its power early, enough to refine your soul.”

“Your soul origin will keep growing stronger and stronger.”

Shiling kept rambling, repeating himself until Lin Moyu began to suspect this guy wasn’t just eccentric. He might actually be a bit senile.

Still, beneath all the nonsense, there was useful information.

The Blueluster Fire surrounding the Blueluster Flower was a flame that could burn the soul, capable of either destroying it entirely or, if controlled, greatly strengthening it.

It was a double-edged sword.

Now, the Domain Divine Stone, which usually used to store and guide Lin Moyu’s murderous aura, had absorbed enough Blueluster Fire to awaken part of its true function.

It would gradually release the fire’s power, subtly strengthening his soul over time.

He’d gain all the benefits without enduring the pain.

And since the process was continuous, the cumulative effect would far surpass what he could’ve achieved in a single burst.

With most of the flames drawn into the Domain Divine Stone, the Blueluster Flower’s fire weakened considerably.

Given time, though, it would recover.

After rambling for a while longer, Shiling finally sighed, “Alright, that was a good experience for you. Too bad about my Blueluster Flower, though. Who knows how many years it’ll take to recover…”

Lin Moyu gave a slight apologetic smile, “Thank you.”

Shiling waved him off, “No need. Look around—there are plenty of flowers here. The Blueluster Flower’s the least impressive of them.”

“You don’t know this, but when my master created this dungeon, he filled it with incredible treasures.”

“Too bad you’re not strong enough yet to open the treasure vault.”

At that, Shiling abruptly stopped talking. Lin Moyu didn’t press. Some things were best left alone.

Then, suddenly, the entire garden erupted in dazzling light. Radiant colors danced across the air.

Shiling’s eyes widened, “Your luck really is something else.”

Lin Moyu blinked in confusion, wondering why he was saying that again.

Shiling pointed into the distance, “In a moment, a light will fly over from there. You must catch it. You’ll only have one chance. Miss it, and it’s gone.”

Lin Moyu didn’t ask any questions. The moment Shiling finished speaking, the light had already arrived.

A long streak of brilliance tore through the air, scattering countless star-like sparkles behind it.

Lin Moyu’s heart clenched, “A Skill Divine Stone!”

There was no time to think. He leapt into the air.

His soul form moved faster than his physical body, allowing him to shift positions rapidly midair. He used his soul to intercept the incoming stream of light.

The Skill Divine Stone struck him squarely in the soul. Lin Moyu grunted, a sharp, searing pain lancing through his very being.

His soul had taken a heavy hit; it hurt terribly.

But it was worth it. He had obtained another Skill Divine Stone.

Shiling laughed, “Satisfied? You’ve got another one.”

“A Skill Divine Stone only appears once every fifty years. What a coincidence.”

“Normally, when one lands in the vault, even I can’t retrieve it. You’re quite lucky.”

Lin Moyu bowed slightly, “Thank you, Senior Shiling.”

No matter how eccentric this guy was, he had helped him and taught him knowledge far beyond anything Lin Moyu had encountered before.

Skills could be ground, level could be raised, but knowledge was priceless.

Moreover, Shiling had already given him the Blueluster Fire, and now another Skill Divine Stone.

Shiling waved his hand dismissively, “No need for thanks. I have no use for things without true value.”

“If you really want to thank me, how about doing something practical?”

Lin Moyu responded without hesitation, “Please, tell me what you need, Senior Shiling. As long as it’s within my power, I’ll do it.”

Shiling smiled, “It’s simple. After you become a Transcendent God-level powerhouse, come back here and open the vault left behind by my master.”

“I’ll explain the details when the time comes. If you can’t reach that level, there’s no point in me saying more.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “Understood. Once I become a Transcendent God-level powerhouse, I’ll return. But… what if I can’t enter the dungeon then?”

Shiling burst into laughter, “No dungeon can bar a Transcendent God-level being.”

Lin Moyu smiled faintly, “Then I’ll see you when that time comes.”

…

Outside the dungeon, half a day had already passed.

The score remained frozen at 1,000 points, as if time itself had stopped.

People began to murmur among themselves.

“Why is there still no sign of Godly General Lin?”

“No idea… could something have happened to him inside?”

“Something will happen to you before something happens to Godly General Lin.”

“Exactly. With his power, even God-level beings can’t stop him. What could possibly go wrong?”

A crowd of Lin Moyu’s devoted fans rallied in his defense, unwilling to hear a single word against their idol.

Meng Anwen stayed calm. He was certain Lin Moyu would return safely.

Ning Yiyi shared that confidence. She had unwavering faith in him.

Suddenly, a ripple surged from the dungeon and spread through air as space itself trembled. Lin Moyu emerged beside its entrance.

With his arrival, an invisible force swept across the area, pressing down on everyone until breathing became difficult.

“What a powerful soul force!”

Several God-level experts rose to their feet, astonishment flashing across their faces. They could feel the immense energy radiating from him.

“His soul force… it’s at least twice as strong as before!”

“Godly General Lin must have gained something extraordinary inside the dungeon.”

“This power, it’s already on par with ours!”

Lin Moyu stood silently before the dungeon, eyes lowered. The storm of soul force slowly receded until it vanished completely.

Only then did he open his eyes.
