Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Meng Anwen asked, “So, how did it go? What did he say?”

”He gave me a formation—said it could deal with the Soul-Devouring Beasts.”

Lin Moyu handed over a formation diagram.

It had come from Antares, who claimed God-level Formation Masters could understand it.

To Lin Moyu, however, it was nothing more than gibberish.

“A formation?”

Meng Anwen took the formation diagram, noting its ancient design and the aura of time it carried.

As a God-level Formation Master, he infused it with spirit force, establishing a link with it.

In an instant, the formation diagram erupted with radiant light.

Obscure and complex runes erupted from it—some flew into Meng Anwen’s spirit world, while others manifested in midair.

The runes intertwined and connected, forming a vast, majestic formation.

Meng Anwen stood frozen, taking his time to digest the flood of knowledge.

The others could only watch in awe. Even without understanding, they could sense the formation’s terrifying power.

After a while, the light finally faded.

Meng Anwen exhaled deeply, “What an incredible formation.”

Lin Moyu asked, “Teacher, can it be deployed?”

Meng Anwen nodded, “It should be possible, but it’ll require thorough study.”

Medicine God Shu added, “I’ll need to study the potion as well. Perfect, we’ll attack the problem from both ends. We will solve the Soul-Devouring Beast crisis.”

Meng Anwen’s eyes flickered as he glanced at Lin Moyu, “Let’s head back.”

With that, he commanded the Shenxia Tower, extracting the group from the secret realm.

Before leaving, he sealed the secret realm, prohibiting any future entry.

Medicine God Shu and Shu Han returned to the Medicine God Manor.

Meng Anwen took Lin Moyu and Gao Yang back to the White God Courtyard.

Bai Yiyuan, resting with his eyes closed, said gently, “Moyu, your friend’s injuries are healed.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “Yes, he’s fine now.”

“White God!” Gao Yang suddenly cried out.

He dropped to his knees with a thud, trembling with emotion, “I never thought I’d get to see Lord White God. I could die now without regrets...”

Bai Yiyuan blinked, clearly startled, “Moyu, what’s with your friend?”

Lin Moyu sighed, “He’s always like that. Don’t mind him.”

Meng Anwen said, “His injuries just healed. He shouldn’t get too worked up. Old Bai, take him to Xiajing Academy. Moyu and I have something to discuss.”

Bai Yiyuan immediately understood the weight in Meng Anwen’s tone.

He stood and pulled Gao Yang to his feet, “Come on, Kid.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “Go ahead. I’ll take care of the rest.”

Still overwhelmed with excitement, Gao Yang was dragged away.

Once they were gone, Lin Moyu turned to Meng Anwen, “Teacher Meng, you’ve figured it out, haven’t you?”

Meng Anwen met his gaze, “I have a general idea. But go on, tell me yourself.”

Meng Anwen wasn’t the only one with something to say—Lin Moyu had something on his mind as well.

Lin Moyu said, “Aside from the Soul Fusion Grand Formation, Antares also gave me the Soul Fusion Potion.”

Meng Anwen nodded, “Go on.”

Lin Moyu poured him a cup of tea, “Antares said this formation might give me the chance to lay the foundation for becoming a Transcendent God-level powerhouse.”

Meng Anwen’s brow twitched. He said nothing, but his trembling fingers betrayed his excitement.

Lin Moyu repeated Antares’ exact words. Meng Anwen listened intently, carefully analyzing every detail.

When it came to nuance, Lin Moyu knew he was no match for his teacher.

After a long pause, Meng Anwen composed himself, took a sip of tea, and finally spoke.

“It’s true. No matter how many God-level powerhouses exist, they can’t compare to one Transcendent God-level powerhouse.”

“If Antares believes this formation can help you reach that level, then as your teacher, I will do everything in my power to support you.”

“I can sense from his words he wants you to become a Transcendent God-level powerhouse. Even if you had refused the Soul Fusion Grand Formation, he would’ve forced it on you.”

Lin Moyu gave a wry smile, “I did feel something was off. I guess I’m still not sharp enough.”

Meng Anwen said with a chuckle, “You’re already sharp enough.”

“But, this formation is complex. Everyone’s soul has limits.”

“You can’t use all the Soul-Devouring Beasts for yourself, as that would be harmful.”

“That’s why we’ll take a two-pronged approach: the formation and the potion.”

Lin Moyu handed him the formula, “Here’s the Soul Fusion Potion formula. I’ll follow your lead, Teacher.”

Meng Anwen nodded, “Then we’ll spread the Soul Fusion Grand Formation across the Shenxia Empire. You’ll be the core, absorbing enough soul power.”

“The others will use the potion. We could produce a new generation of geniuses for the empire.”

As he spoke, he studied the formula. Though not a Concocter himself, he understood the basics.

The potion’s key ingredient was Redstone—red shells that formed on rocks within the secret realm.

But Lin Moyu hesitated, “Teacher, I’m not sure creating more geniuses is necessarily a good thing for the Shenxia Empire.”

Meng Anwen looked up sharply, “Why do you say that?”

Lin Moyu paused, choosing his words carefully, “For class users, traits like perseverance, resilience, and character matter more than raw talent.”

“I’ve seen people with average aptitude but unshakable spirit, unafraid of death. And I’ve seen privileged elites, gifted in aptitude but cowards at heart.”

“The latter are easily swayed. Even if they grow stronger, they could still fall under the control of the Demons.”

Meng Anwen fell silent, contemplating his words.

Lin Moyu continued, “I know you want everyone in the empire to be strong. But things aren’t like they used to be.”

“Back during the Soul-Devouring Beast disaster, the Demons and Dragonkind hadn’t yet arrived. There was no Demon Worship Society. Humanity was fighting for survival. We were united.”

“When the nest is overturned, not even one egg remains intact. But now…”

He left the rest unsaid, trusting his teacher to understand.

After a long silence, Meng Anwen sighed deeply, “You’re right. The times have changed, and so have people’s hearts. So what do you intend to do?”

Lin Moyu said, “There are too many Soul-Devouring Beasts for me to absorb all the soul power alone. So I plan to distribute the excess to a few trusted individuals—like you, Teacher Bai, Teacher Yan, my sister, Yiyi, Gao Yang, and others.”

”I know my idea is a bit selfish, but I don’t have a choice.”

Meng Anwen frowned, ”In that case, I’ll have to adjust the formation. But you’ll be solely responsible for maintaining it. The pressure will be immense.”

Lin Moyu exhaled in relief. Meng Anwen had accepted his proposal.

He had been worried. His request was indeed selfish. But thankfully, Meng Anwen was open-minded.

”As long as you can modify the formation.” Lin Moyu said, ”Leave the rest to me.”

”As for the Soul Fusion Potion, we can treat it as a contingency. Once we’re ready, we’ll hand it over to Medicine God Shu.”

They discussed the plan in detail and finalized their approach.

The formation would be vast, large enough to encompass the entire Shenxia Empire. Its nodes had to be calculated with precision.

The military’s involvement would be inevitable, but with Meng Anwen and Bai Yiyuan’s authority, that shouldn’t pose a problem.

Medicine God Shu had already returned to begin work on the potion. But after reviewing the formula, Lin Moyu realized how incredibly complex it was.

Replicating the Soul Fusion Potion would be no easy task.

Meanwhile, the imperial family had begun to act, with decrees dispatched from the palace to provinces across the empire.

High-ranking officials mobilized, traveling to different regions.

Jiangning Province, in particular, was quietly placed under martial law.

Large numbers of personnel were deployed to secretly investigate individuals who had exhibited abnormal symptoms over the past six months.

The investigation confirmed that such cases were indeed widespread—particularly in Xihai City, where Gao Yang had previously stayed, the number was significant.

The empire quietly took these individuals into custody for centralized treatment.

Every step was taken with extreme discretion, ensuring no information was leaked.

Students from Jiangning Academy currently away were urgently summoned back, ordered to return immediately regardless of their current engagements. The source of this content ɪs novel·fıre·net

Lin Moyu returned to Kun City, where he once again crossed paths with Feng Ziliu and his group.
