Tyrant Sky Martial Soul

Chapter 12: Chapter 12 Too Lucky?_1

Ling Xiao noticed Ling Fei’s expression and couldn’t help shaking his head.

These disciples of the main clan, each and every one of them too arrogant for their own good, and to top it off, narrow-minded as well. They can step on your shoulders at will, and even if you use your feet to assist them, they’d still get angry.

Not wanting to bicker with Ling Fei, he was in a hurry for the doctor to go and check on his grandfather’s injuries.

But just as he took a step, a white shadow flashed by, and the medicine box in the doctor’s hands had vanished into thin air.

It was Ling Fei who had hung it on a branch over ten meters high.

”What are you doing?”

Ling Xiao frowned and asked.

”Nothing much, just wanted to try out your light-work skill,”

Ling Fei said calmly, as if he had done something trivial.

”Who is that guy?”

A few disciples couldn’t help but look towards Ling Xiao, all of them somewhat puzzled.

Of course, among them were those who recognized Ling Xiao.

”Him? He used to be a beggar, entered our Ling Family a year ago through the clan’s grand examination. In this one year, his strength has remained at Martial Veins Second Layer, has offended Ling Chong and Ling Feng, two Elite Hall disciples, and even Ling Yu who initially treated him with care and attention, has now become Elder Brother Ling Feng’s woman...”

”Hmm, I’ve also heard of that fellow. When Ling Chong let him off, he actually didn’t appreciate it and used despicable means to ambush him. Utterly shameless!”

”However, it seems he has recently advanced to Martial Veins Second Layer. A few days ago, he went to the Book Collection Pavilion, and tried to steal books, only to end up being punished.”

”Such a person really doesn’t deserve to be a descendant of our Ling Family. No wonder Elder Brother Ling Fei is making fun of him.”

”I think it’s impossible to get the medicine box down today. He probably can’t perform light-work, can he?”

Those disciples of the Ling Family flattering Ling Fei like lapdogs were now evaluating Ling Xiao with a tone of mockery and disdain.

As if they themselves were so much better.

”I was just teasing him. You also saw it just now, he actually tried to attack me!”

Ling Fei shamelessly twisted the truth, trying to find a reasonable explanation for his actions.

Ling Xiao’s eyebrows knitted tightly together.

As expected, without strength, one could only be bullied everywhere.

Ling Chong, Ling Feng, Ling Fei, Ling Yu, if he remained trash with only Martial Veins First Layer, then there would likely be even more people bullying him in the future.

Forget it, it just so happened that today he wanted to test the power of ”Fierce Tiger Descending Mountain Step.”

Ignoring Ling Fei and the others, he looked at the medicine box hanging ten meters high on the tree branch, and suddenly, he activated his True Qi, ”Fierce Tiger Descending Mountain Step” unfolding...

Boom—

Wow, that really hurt!

Ling Xiao hadn’t expected to exert too much force and ended up crashing into the tree.

Indeed, using such a powerful body movement technique for the first time, there was still some lack of control. Next time, he’d have to hold back a little.

”Hahaha... What an idiot!”

Ling Fei and the others watched, laughing uproariously, with some even squatting on the ground with tears streaming down their faces from laughter.

Ling Xiao paid them no mind.

There’s a first time for everything. Having exerted too much force initially, this time he just had to hold back a little.

Activating the Mountain and River Martial Soul, an appropriate surge of True Qi flowed into his legs, ”Fierce Tiger Descending Mountain Step” suddenly put into action again.

Ling Xiao was like a fierce tiger emerging from the mountain, roaring as he leapt towards the tree trunk.

This time, he successfully climbed up the tree, but was still a hair’s breadth away from the medicine box.

However, this time, the laughter abruptly stopped, and everyone stood agape in shock.

Ling Fei was also greatly taken aback.

He could tell that Ling Xiao’s body movement technique was not bad at all.

Such light-work skill, even some of the disciples in the Elite Hall might not be able to match.

”It’s nothing, Brother Ling Fei, this kid doesn’t even understand what happened himself!”

”Right, look at his confused face. He must be like a blind cat stumbling upon a dead mouse, purely luck!”

”That’s right, even if he has obtained a light-work skill from the Book Collection Pavilion, it’s only been a few days. How could he possibly have learned it?”

”What just happened was merely a result of his True Qi propelling him, making him jump a bit higher.”

Despite their ugly expressions, these people could always find reasons to comfort themselves.

However, after what came next, they could no longer find excuses.

With a low shout echoing, Ling Xiao, like a vigorous Fierce Tiger and a nimble mountain cat, stepped lightly on the tree trunk, his body floated gracefully into the air, grabbed the medicine box and then glided down.

He landed steadily on the ground.

At this moment, those people had run out of reasons to comfort themselves.

Such light-body skills, I’m afraid not even Ling Feng could match up.

”Intermediate Body Movement Techniques are truly powerful. I wonder how ’Soaring Cloud Step’ compares to ’Fierce Tiger Descending Mountain Step’? I’ll try to see if I can cultivate ’Soaring Cloud Step’ after I return.”

Ling Xiao was extremely elated in his heart.

It wasn’t just because he had struck back at those who slandered him, but more importantly, now he felt even more confident about the future.

”Is this guy a genius?”

”Yeah, to go from being unskilled in light-body art to being so proficient in just a few days; that’s just too outrageous!”

Regaining their senses, the crowd was somewhat reluctant to accept the facts, as some amongst them had practiced light-body martial arts for a year or two and still couldn’t compare to Ling Xiao’s display.

Naturally, they felt uncomfortable inside.

”Let’s go, Doctor. My grandfather is still waiting to be seen for his illness.”

The doctor was also a bit stunned, but was reminded by Ling Xiao and came back to his senses.

”Young Master, your light-body skill has truly been an eye-opener for this old man.”

Being an ordinary person, the doctor had already assumed Ling Xiao to be a young master from the Ling Family; after all, where else would such excellent martial skills come from?

”Young Master? You fool, this guy is just a little beggar, he was just lucky just now. If he’s got the guts, let him do it again!”

”Exactly, if he does it again, he’ll definitely be exposed!”

Those disciples shouted loudly, clearly indignant at the idea of a little beggar rising above them.

Ling Xiao wanted to leave, but these people blocked his way.

Truth be told, faced with so many, he wasn’t sure he could come out on top.

After all, including Ling Feng, there were several Martial Artists of the Martial Veins Third Layer here.

Since these people still wanted to embarrass themselves, he might as well display his light-body skill to them again.

After all, ’Fierce Tiger Descending Mountain Step’ was just the basics, what he really wanted to practice was ’Soaring Cloud Step’, and it didn’t matter if it was exposed.

”Since you all want to see, then I’ll show you again.”

As he spoke, Ling Xiao pointed to a fruit on the tree and said, ”That fruit then. If I take it down, you won’t bother me anymore.”

”You’re just bragging, that fruit is around twenty meters above the ground, even Brother Ling Feng might not be able to do it!”

”Exactly, if you really manage to get that fruit down, I’ll crawl around the tree twice and then bark like a dog!”

Ling Feng also said indifferently, ”For a Martial Artist of Martial Veins Third Layer, the maximum height that can be reached with light-body skill is probably around fifteen meters. Ling Xiao is talking big.”

He spoke the common wisdom, and the surrounding disciples of the Ling Family agreed, all waiting to see Ling Xiao make a fool of himself.

”Is that so?”

Ling Xiao chuckled inwardly, Ling Feng was repaying kindness with enmity. Now someone else wanted to bark like a dog; this was a good chance to cut these fellows down to size.

He silently gathered his energy, True Qi congregating in his Martial Veins, then flowing through his meridians into his legs.

”Furious Qi Technique!”

”Fierce Tiger Descending Mountain Step!”

Ling Xiao was well aware that Ling Feng wasn’t wrong, but with the use of Furious Qi Technique, his range with ’Fierce Tiger Descending Mountain Step’ could absolutely reach beyond twenty meters.

Whoosh—!

A gust of wind arose as Ling Xiao soared upward, shooting up nearly twenty meters in an instant.

Just as he was about to successfully pluck the fruit, suddenly, a small stone shot over from the side.
