STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Wilderness (Special Base)

Stella was keeping a strict watch on the surroundings. At the same time, she was absorbing the natural energy from the environment.

Rustle!

Stella then heard the sound of movement. She expanded her mental power to cover a wide range. In the end, she saw a Stone Fox.

The Stone Fox had hunted down a four-legged beast. Now it was devouring the beast. Stella didn’t immediately remind Jeremy Night.

She wanted to figure out the strength of the beast first. She saw the figure of a 4-metre-tall beast. She confirmed that it was a Tier-6 Stone Fox.

[Jeremy, wake up!]

[There is a Tier-6 Stone Fox nearby.]

Jeremy Night, who was sleeping, heard the voice. Hearing that, he woke up. He opened his eyes and looked around, seeing that he was inside the tree hole. Memories flashed in his mind.

He then asked Stella what was going on. Next, Stella briefed him on everything. Jeremy understood that there was a Tier-6 Stone Fox nearby.

He then acted swiftly. He exited the tree hole and landed on the ground. Then he followed Stella’s guidance towards the location.

After crossing a couple of hundred metres, he saw the massive beast feasting on the dead body of some other beast.

Swoosh!

Jeremy Night didn’t waste time. He unsheathed the blade and covered the blade edge in starlight power.

Right then, the Tier-6 Stone Fox, which was having a good meal, stopped all of a sudden. Its nose twitched. It caught the scent of the human.

More than that, it caught the scent of its dead companion.

Shriek!

The beast was enraged. It let out a weird noise. The massive body then charged at the human. The beast’s eyes were blood-red.

Swoosh!

After getting closer, the beast swept its massive paw at the human. The paw had extended claws that could slice apart anything.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night didn’t fret. He was already used to the Stone Fox’s movements. This time, he acted flawlessly.

Swoosh!

He used his footwork at the right time to evade the attack. The deadly claws went above his head. Right then, he moved to the abdomen area before slashing at it.

Slash!

The abdomen of the beast was its weakness. The starlight-filled blade went across the abdomen. The layer was torn apart.

Pfff!

Blood splattered across the ground. The ground was stained with blood. Jeremy Night didn’t stop and reached the other side.

Roar!

The Tier-6 Stone Fox let out a furious roar in pain. The beast felt the searing pain from its abdomen. The beast realised that it was injured by a weak human.

It made the beast even madder. The beast’s eyes became bloodshot. The maddened state of the beast had dulled its senses. It didn’t feel pain.

Instead, it got more angry towards the target.

Swoosh!

The next second, the beast bolted out from the place. This time, its speed was double what it was before. In a quick flash, it appeared before its target and tried to swallow the human whole.

Jeremy Night was ready with his eye power. Just as the beast appeared before him, his senses kicked in. The movements around him slowed down.

Cut!

Right then, he used his footwork again. He predicted the trajectory of the beast’s head. He moved away from the head before using ”Blade One: Silence.”

He used his second eye power to spot the blood vessels in the neck area.

Slash!

The blade technique followed a fast and quiet movement. In a flash, the blade movement, carrying mysterious power, swept across the neck of the beast.

The blade made a large cut, but the mysterious power in the blade made the cut even wider.

All of this happened in a few seconds. When he finished with the execution, he immediately backed away.

Pfff!

A torrent of blood gushed forth from the neck area. The blood vessels were severed this time. The Tier-6 Stone Fox was frozen on the spot.

It didn’t have the strength to scream. The massive body fell sideways to the ground with a heavy sound.

Pfff!

Blood was still spurting out from the abdomen and neck area.

Stella, who was observing everything, was surprised by Jeremy Night’s flawless execution this time. She didn’t have to help out this time. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

She realised that Jeremy Night was learning faster due to his Supreme Combat Body Talent. She knew that Jeremy Night was a talented Beast Tamer even without her starlight power.

It didn’t take long for the Tier-6 Stone Fox to bleed to death. The beast’s life was ended by two deadly moves in the end.

Jeremy then put away the body of the beast into his storage ring. With that, he had collected the corpses of three Tier-6 Stone Foxes. He couldn’t wait to get 600 credit points and the 800 leaderboard points.

He then started the return journey. He told Stella to take a rest. He would use his eye power to explore the way.

[Okay.]

Stella replied before she began resting. She began absorbing the natural energy from the surroundings. The natural energy appeared like a funnel above the egg before disappearing into it.

Seeing that, Jeremy Night relaxed his heart. He had thought of completing the mission as well as finding a breakthrough opportunity.

But he miscalculated. If it were a normal wilderness encounter, he would have ignored it or fought for a long time against the Tier-6 beast.

Since it was a mission, he had to be careful not to completely destroy the beast. At the same time, he had to complete the mission within the time limit.

All of this made him get help from Stella. He decided to rest for a few days until she found the breakthrough opportunity. If he became a Tier-4 Beast Tamer, things would become much easier.

As time passed, he covered the distance faster and avoided the corrupted beasts’ path using his eye power.

Early morning,

He returned to the special base. His return journey was smooth. He didn’t come across any dangerous beasts. After entering the premises, he headed straight towards the administration.

He was going to submit the mission first. Soon, he arrived at the place and walked into the building.
