Wilderness

The unknown bird beast was controlling the speed. If the human changed direction, then it would do something.

Swoosh!

Jeremy Night used the movement method. A burst of force generated beneath his feet. He moved sideways. The unknown bird beast changed direction as well.

His heart skipped a beat. He didn’t expect the bird beast to make such an abrupt turn. Now the sharp beak was closer to his body.

Just a few inches away from contacting his body. Right then, he circulated the starlight power to use ”Star Fist.”

He circulated the power according to the route. In a flash, his left fist was covered in the starlight power. He then punched forward to strike the beak.

Boom!

The collision happened instantly. He felt his hand come in contact with the hard object. It didn’t break. Instead, he absorbed the impact force.

His body was sent flying backwards. He felt a searing pain in his left arm.

Because the bird beast was moving with wind force as well, his body hit several pieces of vegetation before crashing onto the ground.

When he tried to get up suddenly, an all-of-a-sudden pain assaulted his body. But he couldn’t afford to waste time. He saw the beast coming towards him with the same momentum.

With determination, he stood up and continued running. He sheathed the blade. Then he took out the handgun in his right hand.

He didn’t show it. He hid it against his chest and covered the bullets with the starlight power. The beast was controlling its speed and was not using its coercion that much.

It was the right time to use the handgun.

Swoosh!

On the other hand, the unknown bird beast felt that it had succeeded.

But upon seeing that the human Beast Tamer was back on his feet, it felt the power behind the previous attack was not enough.

It continued to get closer towards the target. The trees on both sides were swept away by the wind force.

It was wiping them out completely. If it were other Beast Tamers, they would be shocked to the core.

When it got closer to the target, it was ready to attack with its beak. At the same time, it was ready for any tricks.

Bang! Bang!

But the bird beast faced something else. The starlight bullets shot at the beast. The beast was caught off guard. It was not using its coercion right now.

It failed to stop the incoming bullets. In a flash, the bullets hit the left eye of the bird beast and punctured it.

Puchak!

A torrent of blood gushed forth from the left eye.

Boom!

The unknown bird beast was stunned by the sudden attack. When the pain assaulted the bird beast, it lost its balance and crashed into the ground.

The shock force spread across the place. The unknown bird beast forgot about its target. All that mattered was its eye. Because of the pain and blood, it couldn’t think properly.

It had lost the sight in its left eye.

Meanwhile,

Jeremy Night smiled. He put the gun back in its case. His gamble had paid off. The beast had failed to notice the handgun.

He was able to injure and defeat the beast using his brain. It didn’t take long for him to completely leave the sight of the unknown bird beast.

He didn’t dare to stop and rest somewhere. He slowed down his speed. He didn’t use the movement method, but he kept on running.

Time passed.

The unknown bird beast left the place after losing its left eye. It noted down the appearance of the human. If the human ever appeared again, it would take down the human and get its revenge.

By evening, he reached the special base. Only then did he feel he had survived. He entered the place and went towards his room.

He decided to submit the mission the next morning. He was completely exhausted. His hair and body were covered in mud and dirt.

He attracted a lot of eyes along the corridor. Nobody blocked his path. After returning to his room, he shut the door. Next, he went to take a bath.

He took a cold shower for a long time. The bath lasted for an hour. He then walked out and changed into fresh, comfortable clothes.

Next, he entered the practice room. He closed the door before turning on the switch. The natural energy came from the inlet and spread across the room.

He had a lot of hidden injuries. It was because of his lifeline beast’s protective layer that he had survived. He thanked the unknown beast egg in his heart. The beast egg was quiet right now.

He came here not only to recover, but he wanted the unknown beast egg to recover as well. It must have used its energy to provide the protective layer. It had lasted the whole fight.

Otherwise, he would have been crushed under the pressure.

The dense, pure natural energy had already filled the room. He came to the middle of the room and sat cross-legged on the ground.

He then closed his eyes and started running his inner healing method. The natural energy entered his body and he circulated it.

As the energy flowed inside his body, his greedy cells began to absorb the energy. The healing talent of his body was triggered.

The natural energy became healing energy and began to heal the hidden injuries in his body. All his vital organs had suffered some injuries. They were healing right now.

Shortly afterwards,

The unknown beast egg became active. It felt the natural, pure energy around it. It began to absorb the natural energy as well.

Jeremy Night was glad that the unknown beast egg was okay.

He began to repeat the process.

...

Office

Elder John got the report that Jeremy Night had returned from the wilderness. But he was completely covered in dirt and mud. There were traces of injuries as well.

John understood. He thought Jeremy Night had run into some difficulties. But he was not worried about the mission.

He was glad that the young man had survived the difficulty and made it back to the base safely.
