STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

4th Zone, Special Base

A couple of days passed by.

Jeremy Night didn’t leave the room. He was fully committed to reaching the peak stage. The environment here was supportive.

Once he reached the peak stage, his body would become stronger and his overall strength would increase. He would have a better chance of survival against the higher-tier beasts.

He didn’t have to dance on the edge of a knife all the time. Everyone except him was a Tier-5 Beast Tamer. There were going to be other newcomers.

He didn’t know whether anyone among them would be a Tier-3 Beast Tamer. If not Tier-3, he was sure there would be a Tier-4 Beast Tamer among them.

If he reached the Peak Stage, he would work hard to get more experience. He wanted to reach the Tier-4 stage in a few months.

For that, he had to put in extreme hard work. There were 6 small ranks between them, and each had a further three small stages. Only unreal effort and resources could make his progress faster.

He was eyeing the resources here to accelerate his progress. Coupled with the environment, his growth would be faster.

The environment here was suitable for him. While he was in isolation, Elder John contacted him as well. He was worried that something had happened to him.

But Jeremy explained to him that he had gotten the opportunity to reach the Peak Stage. After hearing that, Elder John understood and didn’t disturb him.

According to Elder John, it was natural outside. The environment here was better than in the 5th zone. If a Beast Tamer had accumulated enough, they would get a breakthrough opportunity.

After that, Elder John didn’t make any further contact. In fact, he had wanted to discuss something else with Jeremy Night. Elder Sandra had instructed that Jeremy Night should learn close combat techniques.

He wanted to talk about that. Knowing that Jeremy Night was under isolated practice, he decided to bring up the topic later.

Meanwhile,

The Beast Tamers in the special base were active. They wanted to increase their rankings on the leaderboard.

In their busy schedules, they forgot about the newcomers. The newcomers’ slots had all been filled. They were working hard to get their names on the leaderboard.

Everyone forgot about the Tier-3 Beast Tamer, Jeremy Night.

On the other hand, the Elders were vigilant. No one wanted to repeat the same mistake. The Head of the Special Base, Sandra, didn’t leave the special base.

Earlier, she used to leave on missions as well. But after the recent beast tide attack, she had decided to stay here. Who knew? The injured worm king could return anytime.

So she was here watching over the Beast Tamers. Not only that, but she had also received a warning from the higher-ups of the Human Alliance. They didn’t want a similar incident to happen again.

Because the Beast Tamers who had died in the previous battle were from influential backgrounds, it took some effort from the Human Alliance to convince them.

Jeremy Night’s room:

Exactly one week after he joined, the unknown beast egg broke the limit.

Click!

It reached the Peak Stage. The next second, it started to absorb more natural energy from the room.

Jeremy Night was delighted. His efforts had paid off. It had taken more days than he thought.

Tier-3, 3rd Rank - Peak Stage

When the unknown beast egg absorbed enough energy, the next moment, it started giving back feedback energy.

Jeremy Night’s body had already touched its limit. The feedback energy began to loosen the barrier. He circulated the feedback energy around his body.

Tier-3, 3rd Rank - Peak Stage

It didn’t take long for the barrier to be broken completely. His physique evolved. His cells began to absorb the feedback energy as well as the natural energy.

Two hours later,

Jeremy Night stabilized his new strength. He then paid attention to his mental zone. The starlight power in the mental zone became brighter and sharper.

Then he shifted his attention to the mental gate. He saw that the concentric circles had changed. The third circle’s third block was fully bright.

The next stage was the 4th rank block. Then he took his gaze off and ended his practice. His new strength was fully stabilized. He opened his eyes and looked at his body.

A minute layer of black impurities had been expelled from his body. He then thought of the starlight power; he wanted to know the difference.

He looked at his hand. The next second, he tried to use the starlight power. A thin white thread wrapped around his index finger. The white thread looked sharp.

Seeing that, his eyes gleamed with a twinkle. He extended the starlight thread and made a small cut on his hand.

Swoosh!

The next second, a thin red line appeared. If one looked closely, they would realize the cut was cleanly made.

Jeremy Night’s heart stirred. He then circulated the natural energy. The healing power of his body was triggered, and the red line began to disappear.

Seeing that, Jeremy Night smiled. After healing the small cut, he walked out of the small practice room. He then went to the bathroom to take a shower.

The bath lasted for 20 minutes. He then walked out and changed into comfortable clothes. Feeling the surging strength in his body, he was satisfied. He then sat on the sofa and began to ponder.

It had been a week since he had joined, but he had done only one mission. He thought others might have completed at least three missions by now.

Now that his strength had increased, he decided to take similar missions. Only by hunting down more corrupted beasts would his points increase on the leaderboard rankings.

Buzz!

Just then, his device buzzed. He picked up the device and saw that the person calling was none other than Elder John.

He answered the call and informed him that he had broken through successfully. Elder John was obviously happy. He asked Jeremy Night to visit his office tomorrow morning.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night agreed. He didn’t know what this was about, but he decided to go and meet him tomorrow.
