STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Jeremy realizes that the old man has come here with a purpose.

He replied, ”I’m doing fine.”

”Good, how confident are you about tomorrow’s duel?” Derek asked.

Hearing that, Jeremy wasn’t surprised. He obviously felt the seriousness of the duel. He didn’t want to lie.

So he said, ”It’s going to be a tough duel.”

Derek was taken aback. He didn’t expect him to accept the difficulty of the duel right away.

”Okay, I can help you. I have natural fruits with me. This treasure can help you raise your power by one rank. But I won’t be giving it for free,” Derek said.

Jeremy’s heart raced. This was an unexpected surprise. Why would he want to help me? He is Head of all the first years. Shouldn’t he be more neutral?

Since he didn’t plan on handing it out for free, he decided to ask about it.

”What do I have to do?” he asked.

A smile appeared on old man Derek’s face.

”I have not thought about it yet. But it’s going to be a mission,” Derek said.

Jeremy sighed inwardly. Since it’s going to be a mission, he can do it.

”Alright, I’ll do it,” he replied.

”Good, take these 5 natural fruits. It can help you to cross one rank.” After saying that, he took the fruits out and gave them to the kid.

Jeremy Night accepted them. He placed them inside his storage ring.

Then he spoke to the old man before leaving. The old man, Derek Gibson, was satisfied with the response. He is looking forward to tomorrow’s duel.

About 10 minutes later,

After returning to his room, he went to take a bath. The bath lasted for half an hour. Then he wore casual clothes before sitting on the sofa.

He looked at the 5 natural fruits in his storage ring. He didn’t know if consuming this fruit would help him reach the 5th rank.

His current power is Tier-1, Rank 4-Early Stage. He thought it was best to consume it the next morning. Then he began to search for the Ice Elemental Beast Tamers. Many Ice-elemental Beast Tamers appeared in history.

But not all of them have S-Grade Talent. He wanted to view their battle footage.

Shortly afterward,

He began to play one video. In that video, he saw a classic duel between a Flame Elemental Beast Tamer and an Ice Elemental Beast Tamer.

It was mentioned that their talent was A-Grade. So he became more interested in watching the duel. In this fight, Jeremy saw both beast tamers launching great attacks against each other.

What was more surprising was that no one was engaging in close combat. They were attacking each other from a distance. But the elemental attacks were enough to raze the ground.

The flame attack was burning down the ground, turning the weeds and other vegetation to ashes, while the ice elemental was freezing the surface.

Jeremy’s eyes turned solemn. The range of the elemental attacks was no joke. It could easily cover a large distance. Even if Jeremy wanted to defend against the ice attacks from a distance, it wouldn’t be easy.

As the duel video played, at some point, he noticed them bringing out the lifeline beasts. Both lifeline beasts were bird-type beasts.

Ice and flame elemental auras were coming from their bodies. No other beast tamers could reach their lifeline beasts. If anyone dared to go near them, they would become ashes.

Jeremy continued to watch the duel footage. He saw how the two lifeline beasts began to clash with each other. Their clash was further destroying the terrain.

He again noticed that these Beast Tamers were experienced. The land on which they were fighting was extremely vast.

They were fighting against each other without worrying about their surroundings.

About 10 minutes later,

The duel footage came to an end without revealing the result. Both elemental beast tamers were strong. No one was able to overwhelm the other.

Jeremy understood why people were obsessed with having a suitable lifeline beast. Both could provide high output damage.

Similarly,

May Lindsey was resting so that she could get back to the Peak Stage tomorrow.

...

The following day:

Jeremy woke up early to consume the natural fruits. After getting out of bed, he started doing his morning routine.

About 20 minutes later,

He sat cross-legged on the ground and took the natural fruits out to consume. He ate one of them completely before running the breathing method.

A warm current coursed through his body. The special natural energy of the fruit was being absorbed by the cells greedily.

At the same time, the strength of his body began to increase. Even though it was subtle, there was a clear change.

Jeremy continued to run the Inner Healing Method. When the special fruit energy dried up, he ate another one.

Similarly, the warm current entered his body again.

Jeremy continued to repeat the process.

As time passed, the special fruit energy ended up drying as well. Jeremy continued to take another fruit.

Two hours later,

Jeremy clearly felt the changes in his body. After consuming the 5 natural energy fruits, his body evolved to the 5th Rank-Early Stage.

Tier-1, 5th rank- early stage.

A hint of ecstasy appeared in his eyes. Though there was not much difference in strength, he thought even a small improvement in strength was important.

Sooner or later, he would touch the 9th Rank. Normally, with his A-Grade Talent, he could reach Tier-2 before the end of the year.

But he wanted to achieve it in a few months. Then only could he compete with S-Graders. He knew that both May Lindsey and Victor Scott were Tier-1 Beast Tamers.

But he didn’t know about their Rank. He wouldn’t be surprised if their ranks were higher than his. Jeremy then collected his thoughts before absorbing the changes in his body.

Even though it was a small breakthrough, he felt that his bones and inner organs were stronger than before. Clearly, getting the fruits was worth it.
