Central University 14:

By the time Jeremy returned to Central University 14, it was already past noon.

When hentacted Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe, he was surprised that the First Year Department Instructor took an interest in this matter.

Those two had submitted the mission items, but they told him that old man Derek Gibson was waiting for him.

So instead of going back to the dorm, he went to the First Year administration building where the instructors’ cabins are located. When he got there, the staff stopped him.

He explained the purpose of his visit. After rgnizing him as Jeremy Night, the attitude of the staff changed.

He was then allowed to go inside. Jeremy nodded to him before entering the building. Soon he found the Elder’s cabin.

Creak!

When he arrived in front of the room, the door opened automatically. Seeing that, Jeremy realized he must have been seen through the camera.

He then stepped inside the room, and the door closed automatically behind him.

Jeremy saw that old man Derek was sitting behind the desk. Not only that, Instructor Jb was sitting opposite him.

”Elder!”

”Instructor Jb!”

Jeremy called out. He didn’t understand what this was about, recalling that the two S-Graders had yet to challenge him.

”Jeremy,me here. Take a seat,” old man Derek Gibson said with a smile.

Hearing this, Jeremy sat in the chair.

”Instructor, what’s going on?” he asked.

”It’s regarding your mission today. I don’t know why your missions always seem to be filled with dangers,” Jb said with a sigh.

Jeremy understood but was not sure about it. They had yet tompletely search the underground tunnel.

”Kid, we got news from the other two brats, but they don’t seem to have much information. They are likely following your lead. So what did you figure out?” Gibson asked.

Jeremy Night calmed his heart and began to brief them about the mission.

About ten minutes later,

Derek Gibson said, ”Since there are no Tier-4 Rat Beasts, there is no need to pay more attention to it. The City Administration guys are deliberately letting it breed.”

”They must be using it as a training ground for the new beast tamers,” he added.

”Even if some Tier-4rrupted beasts appeared inside, they would be killed by the City Guards,” Jb said from the side.

Jeremy understood why they had called him. They were worried like he was. If left alone and untouched, the Rat Beasts numbers might increase, causing serious problems for the City A.

”Jeremy, thanks for informing us. You can go now. The two S-Graders will soon make up their minds,” Derek said.

Jeremy stood up and nodded to them before walking out of the office.

...

Elemental Department:

May Lindsey had gotten the analysis report from her family. The report was implete because they didn’t know about the lifeline beast of Jeremy Night.

But if theympared purely based on Beast Taming Power, then May had a good chance of defeating Jeremy Night.

Especially since elemental talents are effective against body-type talents. Her talent just happens to be Ice Supreme.

Sheuld easily freeze Jeremy Night from a long distance. One of the strengths of Jeremy Night was that he was strong at close quarters.

May Lindsey didn’t have toncern herself with such problems. Right now, she had to make a decision. She thought Victor tt would fight against Jeremy Night first.

But he seemed to have disappeared. She thought he wouldn’t show up unless her fight ended. Finally, she decided to talk to her instructor regarding this duel.

...

About two hours later,

Breaking news started to spread across the university, especially among the first years, and the news spread fast.

Because it’s about the challenge duel. The Elemental Department Instructor revealed that S-Grader May Lindsey has a desire to fight against Jeremy Night.

Hearing this, some students cheered out loud. They were all excited to see this level of fight. Romeo Barrett was strong, but he was not strong enough to defeat Jeremy Night.

This time, many people were betting on May Lindsey because she had S-Grade ice elemental talent. Her lifeline beast was a mystery to many people.

But they thought it must be an ice-type lifeline beast. Combined, they would easily defeat Jeremy Night.

Even those instructors who were previouslynvinced of Jeremy Night’s strength were now starting to divide the chances into 50-50. Nobody had seen Jeremy’s lifeline beast as well.

It was just that everyone was speculating that his lifeline beast must be weak.

While everyone was excited about the duel, the duel date and venue were not announced. Last time, Jeremy and Romeo fought inside the Joint Training Facility.

It has a duel ring, but it’s not a suitable place for an audience to watch the duel. Earlier, it was supposed to be a simple spar to check each other’s strength.

Now the challenge duel had developed into a proper venue duel. It’s up to old man Derek and Dean Carolyn to decide the date and venue.

...

Control Department:

When the news reached the Control Department, everyone wanted to find Victor tt and inform him. But Victor tt had already learned about it.

He was just waiting for May Lindsey to challenge Jeremy Night first so that heuld judge the strength of Jeremy Night.

His family showed their support, but in a short time, it was difficult to improve his strength drastically. So he focused onntrolling his lifeline beast.

...

STRIKER Department:

”Brother, she hasme out to challenge you,” Daniel Stone said.

”It’s good that she challenged me. I didn’t want to waste time waiting for her challenge,” Jeremy replied.

”It’s exactly as you said earlier. The S-Graders can’t wait much longer. Their reputation as S-Graders is at stake,” Betsy Lowe said in a normal tone.

The trio received the breaking news as well, but the date and venue were not fixed.

Jeremy felt that something else was going on. Normally, they would fight at the Joint Training Facility. But he thought this time it wasn’t going to be simple.
