Pillar of Yita

He watched the discussion for a while longer. The topics being debated were all matters he already knew, and the clues he wanted were already found in their discussions, so it seemed unnecessary for him to get involved.

The subsequent discussion was no longer fruitful, he closed the main post and glanced at the post’s popularity, which was rising quickly, already surpassing the post he had made in that short span.

Outside the porthole, white clouds flew past, the wind made the wing sails flap fiercely as the Seven Seas Traveler sailed above the clouds.

Crossing Charter City is the closest route to reach Gula, a route seldom taken by ships, and presently even more perilous. Thus, the Seven Seas Traveler consistently flew high to avoid encountering flying wyverns lurking in this area.

The unsettling feeling arose once more in Fang Hong’s heart, prompting him to stand from his seat. The commotion made Nini turn her head, tilting her small head to curiously look at her ’Papa’, blinking her large eyes.

A speck of dust leisurely fell on her face, causing her to sneeze lightly:

”Achoo!”

Nini wiped her nose with her hand.

Looking at his ’little daughter’, Fang Hong’s heart settled considerably, and he extended his hand onto the desk to allow Nini to climb.

The little girl climbed up Fang Hong’s shoulder along the ’path’ she was most familiar with, like an agile little monkey, and sat cross-legged in her dedicated spot.

Fang Hong walked out, and just saw a Papalarian sneakily sneaking across the deck like a thief. He feared the confinement room he hadn’t spent enough time in recently, but Fang Hong actually had no mind to fuss about it.

”Anything happened recently?” he asked Elisa who was focused on the barometer. The young woman was simultaneously doing something that made him feel amused and helpless — she curled the ends of her hair with the ship’s heating ducts, making it curly, while turning back to look at him.

”Dear Lord Captain, are you asking about my new hairstyle, or something else?” Elisa playfully blinked her eyes, asking.

”I’m asking about Gula Port.”

Gula Port happens to be located on the other side of Traveler’s Swamp, opposite Charter City and Traveler’s Rest. In fact, the land route between the two requires passing through Charter City.

It’s the northern frontier of Colin Ishurian, sailing across the Sea of Dust northwards, you can reach Rotao.

It’s also the edge controlled by the Rainbow Alliance, overlooking Scepter Coast northward controlled by the Descendants of Flor across the sea. Several guilds under BBK, especially the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team, are notably influential there.

They’re heading there to meet Luo Yu’s parents, who should indeed be considered seniors to them, but ever since Fang Hong learned about his parents, he always felt a strange nervousness.

The situation in Ancient Tower has been tense recently due to dragon beast invasions, with many disappearance incidents happening, travelers often attacked, even rumors of creatures lurking in darkness that can annihilate human starlight.

Fang Hong felt the source of his unease was from this.

He somewhat regretted scheduling a meeting with Luo Yu’s parents there, but the disappearances happened after that, and he couldn’t just change the appointment with his seniors.

Moreover, news from the military side noted activity in the Flor Descendants’ fleet stationed south of Rainbow Sky Canyon. Although Fang Hong felt the opposite party might not necessarily target him, the related information implied ominous signs.

He previously instructed Elisa to keep an eye on Gula Port news, Third District has a main community, and numerous regional forums beneath, gathering a variety of hundreds of messages, he and Miss Tata couldn’t possibly watch all, so they mobilized the collective effort.

Elisa flicked her curls, shaking her hair, casually responding: ”Still the same matters, a few more people disappeared, several more attack incidents, a dragon beast invaded a small town, causing death count. But luckily, there’s an additional Aisha’s Holy Sanctuary nearby, preventing them from surrounding the sanctuary for slaughter—”

”That doesn’t sound good at all.”

”What else can be done? As Mr. Shayek said, those dragon beasts seemed to appear overnight. Northern territories, Rodell, Elpaxin and Fenris are semi-autonomous, forces are already stretched thin.”

She paused her tone: ”More importantly, the kingdom’s army is currently assembled on the northern Dulun line, guarding against southern region rebellion. If not for the Phoenix victory, the situation would be much worse now. Even Sir Roban returned to the Royal City, it appears the situation is not optimistic.”

”But at least there’s one piece of good news.”

Fang Hong slightly started: ”What good news?”

Elisa replied somewhat playfully: ”That’s Istania over there is at least peaceful, it seems no one would go trouble the Grand Princess and His Highness Aleph now.”

Fang Hong sighed: ”Elisa, now is not the time for jokes.”

”It’s not entirely a joke,” Elisa replied: ”Don’t forget thanks to us, otherwise Istania might indeed be the major issue now...”

Fang Hong couldn’t help but recall the turmoil they experienced in Istania.

If the Blind Followers were to succeed, Miss Nightingale’s words might really prove true, the current Istania isn’t truly tranquil, but a ticking time bomb larger than the southern region.
