Pillar of Yita

Hilveld raised his head, looked at the pervasive fog outside the window, and continued: ”People know very little about the Mist Fjord. It’s rare for anyone to come here, it used to be a hiding place for pirates, but even they have gradually become scarce.”

Fang Hong frowned at this, the place sounded like one of those remote unknowns, as adventuring in thick fog is too troublesome, and since the Mist Fjord doesn’t yield any special outputs, even Invokers are rarely willing to come here.

This type of place should be marked on the map with a thick red pen encircling it, labeled as ’danger.’ But right now, they have no choice, the Seven Seas Traveler has to find a place to dock and rest, even if this place seems laden with trouble.

”Let’s proceed along the fjord,” he thought for a while, then said: ”Retract the sails a bit, slow down the speed, and be careful not to crash into the mountains. If we find a suitable spot, we’ll stop to resupply.”

All the crew members on duty are acknowledging through the Sound Transmission Tube.

After the sails were retracted halfway, the speed of the Seven Seas Traveler slowed down, lowering to a height where they needed some time to clearly see the land below.

The kitchen lights turned on, and amber light poured into the cloud of fog, Miss Atira started to boil water, preparing to cook. She had to prepare steaming hot meals for two shifts of crew members around the clock, relying on Tang Xin and Ai Xiaoxiao to lend a hand in between.

Xiesta brought hot drinks to the two people in the Captain’s Room, Fang Hong said thanks before accepting the drink, he wasn’t idle during this time, he checked the community for information about the creatures in the Mist Fjord, only to realize this place rarely sees sunlight year-round, and the vegetation and biological communities on the surface are actually quite sparse, mostly inhabited by flying creatures.

This made him furrow his brows even more, if they were flying creatures, wouldn’t they pose a threat to the Seven Seas Traveler too?

The horned lizard crawled back and forth on his desk, occasionally tilting its head to look at him with its pitch-black eyes, Gita had placed its nest on the ceiling of the Captain’s Room, as this Guest of the Seven Seas Travel Group had found a new home here.

And it didn’t behave at all like an outsider.

Nini and Miss Fairy were situated on the other side of the desk, Nini was lying atop a stack of books, showing her snow-white little fangs, viewing this uninvited guest nervously and threatening it with her gaze not to come closer.

Tata was calmly flipping through a Light Page before her, quietly helping him to search for information on the community.

Fang Hong watched these little ’sisters,’ and it seemed that everything that happened in the world not long ago hadn’t affected them. Since Nini ’consumed’ Divine Strength from Dika, aside from the fact that the sparks she emitted were brighter and that she became more lively when showing her teeth and claws, there seemed to be no other changes.

The only noticeable change is perhaps that she can sense his Pale Glory somewhat, but not as noticeably as in Dika’s world. He plans to find some time to experiment a bit, but for now, he clearly doesn’t have the opportunity.

On the other hand, the abilities Miss Tata displayed in the Spirit World, cannot be experienced again in the real world. However, they have the Seven Seas Traveler now, with the Heart of Fairy, perhaps Miss Tata can also exert some of her abilities.

This too requires finding a time to test properly.

As if sensing his gaze, Miss Fairy turned around, looking at him with her green eyes, calmly: ”Mr. Knight, do you need anything else checked?”

”Oh,” Fang Hong suddenly came to his senses, ”help me check the news from Istania, have our actions had any repercussions?”

Tata nodded quietly, turning back.

But the search results were unsurprising, the information here probably hasn’t been relayed back to Colin Country yet, and the Colin People haven’t reacted at all, the community atmosphere was quiet.

He had expected the consequences when he acted, a bounty from Colin Kingdom is only a matter of time. The Super Competitive League might come looking for trouble because of their previous negotiation breakdown.

He also had to explain to the Stargate Port, fortunately, due to his military connections, this was the only comforting aspect. Without it, he wouldn’t dare make such a reckless decision.

Furthermore, in the recent combat, Dika’s complete failure concluded the event, yet according to Star, when that world collapsed, those who remained inside were mostly unable to return.

This made him involuntarily think about those people from Dragonfire Guild, if they can’t return, where does it mean they went? Back to Earth or vanished entirely?

This question surfaced in his mind, making him want to verify with the military, but now is clearly not the time.

As the Seven Seas Traveler parted the mist, the contours of the Void Canyon below started to appear.

This place was even more desolate than imagined, amidst the widespread fog, there were only barren cliffs, the rocks were gray, forming various shapes within the mist.

Those jagged rocks slowly receded, silent as a mime show.

Fang Hong gazed at the outside, finding it hard to imagine any supplies found here, however, the ship’s Elemental Detector sensed a water element-rich area to the east, he thought there might be a river.

Food was out of the question, he only hoped to find a clean water source there.

He ordered the Seven Seas Traveler to adjust the route, but soon they encountered the trouble they had anticipated—
