Pillar of Yita

And beneath the collapsing Holy Sanctuary, billowing black smoke was forming into a giant beast, rising upright from the ruins.

Princess Rupert, Fang Hong lifted his head to witness this spectacular scene, where the dark figure was at least a hundred meters tall, with three heads connected by slender necks, four pairs of bat wings, and a tail like a poisonous scorpion.

The three heads - one a goat, one a dragon, and the other a lion - resembled the mythical creature, the Chimera. But its lower body was a mass of swirling mist, filled with hundreds of tentacles supporting its enormous frame.

Fang Hong looked at the monster resembling a Synthetic Beast, and suddenly realized what it was.

That was Dika’s true form.

In front of this monster floated a girl—Affia, her expression cold as she faced Fang Hong and Princess Rupert.

”Mr. Ade really wants to kill me. He even called for that vulgar woman Alesha, but unfortunately, she can’t help you at all. But I am different.”

”... I’ll give you one more chance, Mr. Ade. Please come to my side...”

”Then, we will be together forever.”

”Doesn’t Mr. Ade want eternal life either?”

Her face bore the extreme purity of Afifa’s, yet her tone was full of seduction.

What a mess, Fang Hong felt as though he had stumbled into a clichéd soap opera. But he and Affia were just ordinary friends, how could it be twisted so strangely by this monster’s words?

”What it wants is your Pale Glory, Mr. Ade,” Princess Rupert’s voice traveled through the wind and snow, conveying, ”It isn’t Miss Afifa, don’t be fooled.”

Fang Hong was at his wit’s end, thinking to himself that there was nothing between him and Afifa, now how would he explain to Hilveld? But he didn’t say much; at this critical moment, every second of hesitation was a luxury.

He didn’t even look at Afifa in midair, only raised his hand lightly and let his gaze pass through the wind and snow to fall in Princess Rupert’s direction.

”Hold steady, Princess—”

Earth Shaker stepped back.

Princess Rupert took a deep breath, straightened up, and gripped the longsword in her hand.

The tall Construct emitted a whistle like a steam engine, striding forward it suddenly leaped off the mountaintop, much like a large bird soaring into the sky. But it truly took flight, with the Ether Guidance brightly illuminated behind it, resembling a pair of golden wings, leaving a bright trail in the wind and snow—

Earth Shaker, a Dragon Knight favoring the Earth Element.

While behind the Silver Flame Knight glows with a cyan brilliance, which was the light of the Wind Element.

The Supervisor and VX-1 vanished within the snowstorm; once the elemental abilities were envisioned, the calculative power needed increased significantly, and Miss Fairy was strained to support such immense calculative power.

The snowstorm became more intense, carrying Affia’s icy, enraged voice from behind:

”Seeking death.”

A tentacle curled out of the darkness like a long shadow of a whip and swept through the wind and snow, swinging horizontally at Earth Shaker in mid-air. But reflected in the Grand Princess’s eyes, it seemed more like a wall.

To the hundred-meter-tall monster, it was just a tentacle, but to an ordinary person, it seemed no different from a wall. Rupert held her breath, watching that wall approaching.

’That is your mother’s shadow—’

’Your mother would never hurt you, Princess.’

’She will protect you, awaiting you to achieve that goal.’

’But...’

’Have courage.’

’Go to her.’

A beam of cyan light entered her gaze. It was Judge Taan, cutting into the battlefield from the left, wielding a Great Sword, slashing through, and severing Dika’s tentacles, flying horizontally over Earth Shaker’s head.

Simultaneously, another beam of light also came into her vision; the Silver Flame Knight shielded Fang Hong with one hand while flying forward. The opponent was shouting at her: ”Princess, stay focused!”

Grand Princess shook her head slightly, finally realizing; she seemed to have had an illusion, with someone speaking to her. That voice was so gentle, almost making her believe she had seen her mother.

But she quickly steadied herself.

Fang Hong’s voice came through intermittently: ”I’ll create an opportunity for you, Princess, be sure to seize it!”

Rupert nodded firmly.

More tentacles emerged from the darkness, and after Fang Hong ordered the Judge to sever one, Affia evidently became truly enraged.

But the Princess turned her head quietly to look in that direction.

The young Holy Chooser was standing firmly in the Silver Flame Knight’s palm, with a serious expression, those slightly immature eyes glimmering with a faint silver light, looking toward the giant shadow ahead—

That was an incarnation of the Deities.

Miss Tata also appeared by Fang Hong’s side, the silver light around the pair were like stars in the darkness. That dazzling brilliance, for a fleeting moment, seemed to be able to disperse the wind and snow.

More Dragon Riders joined the battle.

That was the Imperial Blade, Axinman Witch, bringing a track of intertwined cyan and blue light in the sky, slicing left and right into the battle. But amidst the current scene, their light was somewhat insignificant, in the face of the blazing light like fireflies, there were layers of tentacles enclosing from all directions, resembling a cataclysmic sight—
