Pillar of Yita

Ye Hua slowly watched the star falling from the snowstorm, its silver radiance dazzling like a flower, descending layer by layer. He reached out his hand and gently placed the leather-tipped fingers on the tail feathers of the long arrow.

In the flowing wind, the snowflakes were like fine powder, fluttering like soft feathers. Yet another hand, wearing a frost-covered metal glove, reached out from behind and pressed against his hand.

Ye Hua’s movement halted, and he turned his head.

Two beams of light pierced through the snow wind, outlining the towering construct behind him, illuminating the swirling snow mist, and shooting straight into the boundless darkness ahead. Ye Hua saw the star-covered snow face, and its steadfast gaze fell upon him, gently shaking its head.

”It’s not time yet, Ye Hua.”

”Star, let go.”

”Ye Hua, trust me, I’m not blinded by revenge yet.”

The wind howled.

Fang Hong felt himself falling, sinking into a hazy darkness, knowing it was the snow blotting out the sunlight, everything concealed.

The Princess, Dika transformed into three giant heads, and the black-clad girl had all disappeared at this moment. He only saw a mist of snow, and the biting cold wind, after the chaos, a giant shadow swept by—a tentacle.

But soon, the tentacle vanished—

The silver flame in his eyes gradually dimmed, as if the strength was lost. He wondered, had the Princess succeeded? But nothing around had changed, did she fail?

Fang Hong took a soft breath, gazing at the white mist he exhaled, shattered by the wind in an instant.

He had tried his best, perhaps the Grand Princess had also tried her best. Suddenly, he felt a sense of fatigue, but it wasn’t from his body, it originated from his spiritual world.

What else could he do?

Fang Hong thought of his Miss Dragon Soul.

”Miss Tata, do we still have a chance?” he called in his mind.

But the Fairy did not answer, only for a moment, she suddenly looked in a direction.

Behind the snowwind there, another silver light suddenly broke through the swirling snowflakes and appeared before Fang Hong’s eyes.

He instinctively turned back.

He saw a dragon, a silver dragon, spreading its wings and flying towards him.

He almost thought he saw Anluose, but it was actually Dragon Queen Margaret; the massive Dragon-Shaped Construct extended its wings diving in his direction, gently catching him on its broad and flat back.

A roaring voice emanated from the icy metallic mechanical body, ”Hold on tight, little one.”

”Lady Margaret?”

”I’d prefer you call me Alesha,” the voice boomed in reply, the Dragon Queen raised her head, looked towards the clouds with her crystal eyes: ”I’ll take you up, but can you still find a way to deal with Dika?”

Fang Hong was somewhat silent.

But the next moment, a flutter seemed to rise in his heart.

He incredulously placed his hand softly on his chest, where an incredibly brilliant radiance suddenly pierced through the snowstorm. That Qing-colored glow was dreamlike.

He seemed to hear a voice:

”Child, help me.”

The voice seemed to belong to Affia.

But he blinked lightly and felt a hint of surprise.

...

A ray of sunlight broke through the heavy clouds.

Outside Kashan Palace, atop the city walls suddenly seemed to boil over, the uproar even surpassed the palm forest, reaching the hall inside. Aleph was frowning tightly, involuntarily straightened up, looking in that direction.

The palace door ’bang’ swung open, Saisheer walked in from outside, an excited look on his face. He looked up at this future Crown Prince, the old man opened his mouth, but couldn’t find words at first.

He paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and said:

”They are back!”

What appeared to the weary guards on the palace walls was a slowly advancing silver torrent, silver armor, brown robes, a forest of Long Halberds, the axe blades shining in the sunlight, brilliantly bright.

Knights appeared on the other side of the Inner City, crossing through the breach made by the Sand Thieves in the tower, standing like on the horizon, forming a thin line of bright silver on the outer city’s battlements.

And a tall figure appeared beside the knights.

Aierna supported her tattered construct and stood up from the ground, she wiped her wind goggles forcefully to make sure she wasn’t seeing wrong. But suddenly, she opened her mouth.

They are back.

Beside her, Lavali had tears in her eyes, her curved blade fell onto the city wall, she tightly bit her lip, turned back, and used the back of her hand to wipe the corner of her eye forcefully.

The towering Count Nulman turned back, gazing at the knights beside him, he was silent, before him lay the devastated Quistack, the tottering Kashan Palace, his daughter with unknown life or death.

It was the evil force breeding in the air, the Dark Deities descending, a sky filled with flying monsters, and the sea-like tide of twisted creatures on the ground.

But he silently lowered his mask, drew the curved blade from its sheath, and pointed forward.

Silent, yet as if speaking the words in his heart—

’Go now, my children. I ask you to rescue my daughter, as if saving your own.’
