Pillar of Yita

Barbaltan, look, it’s Light.

...

Fang Hong raised his head and indeed saw that light. It was emanating from behind the looming dark clouds, like the dawn breaking, exactly when the Giant Dragon spread its wings and burst forth from the snowstorm.

He grasped the protruding spine on Alesha’s back tightly with his hand. The sky filled with snow and wind lashed like knives against his face, sharp and painful. Fang Hong pulled down his wind goggles, turned up his collar, and pressed his lips together.

The Giant Dragon soared into the sky, like a streak of silver light, piercing through layers of clouds and heavy blockade.

The next moment, the snow mist dispersed, and the mountainous three-headed monster dragon, along with the girl in front of it—Dika’s incarnation, once again appeared in Fang Hong’s vision.

And in her hand, the soundless Grand Princess, as the girl retracted her blood-drenched hand, turned her head, her eyes tightly shut, her cheeks also marked with a splash of blood.

She faced downward and spoke softly: ”What a delusion, mortal.”

And Fang Hong gently placed his hand on Margaret’s spine.

”Lady Margaret.”

”It’s Alesha,” the Dragon Queen turned her head, ”Little one, have you ever thought that one day, I might also be your enemy, for I am the Dark Giant Dragon.”

”Then, let’s talk about it when that day comes.”

The Dragon-Shaped Construct let out a meaningful chuckle.

Fang Hong lowered his head, looking at his left hand, nearly frozen blue-purple in the wind and snow, and the silver crown emblem there.

’Pale Glory.’

He thought, ’So what exactly are you then—’

The immaculate Light responded to his call.

At that moment, the azure Stellar Shine illuminated between heaven and earth like a verdant Star, proudly shining amidst the wind and snow, replacing the silver flame and fire.

In the distance, the blue luster reflected in the vision of two people.

Star and Ye Hua watched this scene, the elderly Alchemist gently releasing the hand of his companion beside him. His voice sounded somewhat hoarse and deep, ”It’s your turn, Ye Hua.”

And the latter took one look at him, gently plucked the Feather Arrow from the ground, shook off the snow dust, and shook his head: ”It’s his turn, Star—”

He gently placed the arrow back into the quiver.

...

The azure glow was flowing over the back of the Giant Dragon, as if merging beneath each of its scales, causing those scales to ignite, spewing fierce blue flames.

Alesha’s pupils expanded, pouring forth blue light, as if nurturing a splendid Light Cocoon within her chest cavity, and raised her massive head, the scales beneath her wings transformed into flaming feathers.

The unfolding fiery feathers danced one by one, and the Dragon Queen shot like a straight line toward the sky, her target the girl in mid-air.

But the three-headed monster dragon had already opened its giant maw, the dragon head, lion head, and goat head all lunged downward from mid-air.

The Dragon Queen’s voice was somewhat soft, ”Release my bindings, young man.”

”What is that, Lady Alesha?”

”Did you really think this mortal’s forged Magic Guided Weapon aids me?” she chuckled softly, ”To me, it is merely a shackle.”

”But...” Fang Hong’s voice paused, ”Can I trust you, Lady Alesha?”

”You cannot, but you have to try.”

Fang Hong raised his head.

The storm swept his disheveled hair across his forehead, and beneath the wind goggles, his eyes reflected the approaching monstrous creature like a mountain.

He softly asked, ”Then, what should I do?”

”Just think, and it will be done,” the Dragon Queen chuckled lightly, ”It is your Dragon Knight, fighting for you, fulfilling all your wishes, isn’t it?”

Fang Hong looked toward Miss Fairy.

Tata merely nodded lightly.

And at that instant, the metal components on the Dragon Queen emitted a deep and subtle clang, as if the sound of a mechanism opening, suddenly lifting from her body, falling away piece by piece.

Fiery Blue Luster surged forth from beneath the metal scales, liquefying the scattered metal fragments, turning them into droplets of melted flow, dripping into the wind and snow.

In an instant, they solidified, forming crystalline metal spheres, scattered and drifting in the fierce wind.

After the metal parts fell away one by one, what remained soaring in the sky was only a Fire Dragon, which turned its head, its eyes gleaming with fiery light, while Fang Hong stood upon the flame, seemingly unaffected—

Alesha laughed long, ”Do you know when I last unshackled myself, young man?”

Fang Hong gently shook his head.

The Dragon Queen just chuckled softly.

A beam of blue light ascended, interweaving with the three heads of the monster dragon—the foremost goat head and lion head bit down in unison, but only caught residual shadows. Alesha had already slipped through between them.

The light continued to climb and in the next moment struck the dragon head amongst the three, piercing straight through its open gaping maw.

A blue pillar of light surged into the sky, directly penetrating the dragon head’s lower jaw—a spray of blood, the dragon head raised high, its neck without a head recoiled.

And that gigantic dragon, like a mountain, its two remaining heads emitted a cry of pain mingled with fury, lifting high.

”One.”

The Dragon Queen counted softly.

She carried Fang Hong soaring high, circling once in mid-air, swooping back, fanning her wings in the blizzard, stirring the clouds, her gaze directed below.

Facing the girl suspended in mid-air.
