Pillar of Yita

”I never expected, the matter of Westwood—Countess Sibika...”

He smiled helplessly.

”That’s all in the past, Great God Ye Hua,” Fang Hong sat down and replied silently. At that moment, he felt a slight shift in his mindset; facing his former idol, he seemed not as elated and excited as before. However, this didn’t mean he had any prejudice against the other person, or rather—it felt more like a kind of growth.

Ye Hua seemed to have noticed this change as well and looked at him unexpectedly. But what flickered in his slender phoenix eyes was not a hint of surprise, but rather an expression of appreciation.

Regarding the incident at Fanric, while Fang Hong felt some dissatisfaction emotionally, he rationally understood that it was just an accidental event. If he hadn’t appeared in that place, that letter wouldn’t have amounted to much.

And right now, he was more concerned, not about this side issue.

Ye Hua then took the initiative to ask: ”Ade, you wanted to see us, surely there’s something on your mind?”

Fang Hong nodded. ”Great God Ye Hua, did we meet in Bain?”

Ye Hua was not surprised and nodded.

More than that, he instead asked:

”You want to know why the Southern Region Alliance was there, don’t you?”

Fang Hong looked at the other person in surprise.

The frankness of this Ranger King left him momentarily at a loss. But after a moment of silence, he still nodded.

Ye Hua smiled slightly.

”I figured this time, you must be here with questions. As compensation for the Fanric incident, I will speak to you without reservation. But only this once.” Ye Hua looked at him and replied: ”Additionally, the Southern Region Alliance owes you a favor; you can ask me to do something for you. However, in principle, it cannot violate the ’Stargate Declaration’.”

What surprised Fang Hong first wasn’t the other person’s answer, but a small detail within it—the Southern Region Alliance was indeed divided—since Ye Hua mentioned the ’Stargate Declaration’, it indicated that they would definitely not support the separatists.

He secretly breathed a slight sigh of relief, feeling a sense of ease, and then began to ponder the other’s promise—Ye Hua practically represented half of the Southern Region Alliance; his promise to help was equivalent to the support of half the Southern Region Alliance. Even though the Southern Region Alliance has disbanded, its influence remains, otherwise, there wouldn’t currently be so many issues in the Southern Region.

Even if only half of the people supported this Ranger King, it is still a force not to be underestimated. What’s more, Fang Hong understood that within the old alliance, those who supported Ye Hua were more than just half.

The other person’s words indeed carried weight, so how to maximize the benefit of this advantage was worth thinking about.

But this thought flashed quickly, and he soon realized this was not the primary concern at the moment.

Ye Hua seemed to discern his thoughts.

”Let’s put aside the Fanric matter first, and talk about Bain’s matter.”

”Ade should be aware of the recent events in White City and understand that we’ve encountered some internal troubles...”

Fang Hong nodded again.

Ye Hua straightforwardly replied: ”There are forces behind the White City incident stirring the pot, but that doesn’t mean the Southern Region Alliance itself didn’t have such thoughts... The alliance is a complex conglomeration of interests, and when I was there, I could still unify most people’s views. But in the past six months, the alliance has suffered significant setbacks, and naturally, unrest is brewing internally...”

”...Moreover, that event cannot be viewed merely as the operation of external forces; in fact, it also represents, in some sense, the internal sentiment of the alliance. As far as I know, not only the Invoker, but even the Elfendo Council has given their approval...”

”After the White City, things have spiraled out of control, suppression is now meaningless, but that does not mean everyone else agrees with this, the dissenting voices within have always been loud.”

At this moment, Fang Hong suddenly asked: ”But Great God Ye Hua doesn’t want the alliance to be divided internally?”

”Just call me Ye Hua,” Ye Hua smiled helplessly: ”In this state, I can hardly be considered a Great God.”

He nodded slightly: ”The alliance is a responsibility handed down to me by the former chairman and its founders. Such happenings now already reflect my negligence; I certainly cannot watch it split apart with open eyes.”

More importantly, once the alliance splits internally, BBK will take advantage of the situation.

The Southern Region Alliance is already in a difficult position. Losing legitimacy would mean Colin Ishurian would no longer have a foothold. BBK’s maneuver was evidently vicious, striking the alliance’s seven-inch point; no one expected that the other side would incite the separatists within the alliance at this critical juncture.

With an ingenious strategy of retreating to advance, reversing the dire situation—

These words Ye Hua did not speak out.

But Fang Hong did not expose it either.

”Is Great God Ye Hua thinking of finding a solution externally?”

Ye Hua nodded slightly.

”Does it have anything to do with Istania?” Fang Hong asked again.

Ye Hua then asked: ”What has Ade been doing lately?”

”Completing a commission.”

”Is it related to the Grand Princess?”

Fang Hong looked somewhat surprised at the other person, but then thought, given the other’s alliance with His Excellency the Governor, it made sense to know all of this.

He neither nodded nor denied.

Ye Hua continued along these lines:

”Then does Ade know that the assault ten years ago was actually related to an ancient notebook?”

”A notebook?”

In an instant, an image of that old notebook flashed through Fang Hong’s mind—

```
