Pillar of Yita

He couldn’t help but look at the old man.

And the other continued: ”Shortly after that, the affair of Idus occurred. After the Princess returned, she inadvertently mentioned everything that had happened at the time to the King. Due to the connection with our clan, the King passed it on to us. Connecting it with the letters from Mazak and the Sir, I realized back then, the relationship behind this matter with you...”

The Princess?

He was taken aback for a moment, then realized it was referring to Affia.

Fang Hong, upon realizing this, was also momentarily speechless.

He glanced at the chief of the Oathkeeper Clan, then at the King of Sand beside him, only then did he understand where the oversight lay. He thought it was foolproof, but unexpectedly, it wasn’t that the information from Fanric was conveyed so quickly, rather it was because of the Oathkeeper Clan that this King of Sand had known about their existence early on.

Since the other party was paying attention to the events in Fanric and guessed they went to Idus, it’s natural they would also pay attention to the information from there. And after such a long time since the Fanric events, finding a portrait record about him would not be difficult?

Not to mention, Affia had also spent some time with the Seven Seas Travel Group—

But Fang Hong also realized, this wasn’t really an oversight either—because he wasn’t an omniscient Deity, and naturally couldn’t have foreseen such a matter.

Understanding this, he felt much more at ease.

He couldn’t help but look once more towards Governor Bain, only to see Count Nulman still looking the same as before, seemingly not paying attention to this direction.

He was startled but quickly reacted—the King of Sand and the chief of the Oathkeeper Clan knew of his existence but didn’t disclose it, probably because His Excellency the Governor took the image data left behind to Quistack, and the King of Sand and the chief recognized him from the images.

He glanced at the old man, suddenly having some guesses about the King of Sand’s attitude.

Could this be the reason for such an attitude?

But does the Oathkeeper Clan have such influence in Istania?

Previously when he observed the interaction between the King of Sand and the former, the master-servant relationship was quite clear.

At this moment, Barbaltan sat on his throne and spoke again: ”Young man, since the Oathkeeper Clan has a history with you, let Count Vaisu handle this ceremony.” The King of Sand’s tone was both a request and a command, casting a glance at the old earl on the side.

Saisheer looked at Fang Hong and Aleph, nodding: ”Though the Oathkeeper Clan is now divided, we remaining ones have no further ties with the bloodline of the Dragon Slayer, yet the memories over the centuries are hard to forget, and it’s difficult for us to forget those days, the experiences advancing and retreating with the descendants of the Dragon Slayer.”

He paused for a moment: ”So at least by still calling ourselves this title, it shows that the Oathkeeper Clan of Istania has not entirely let go of the past, thus Mr. Ade’s help to the Oathkeeper Clan, we naturally remember with gratitude.”

The old man faced the King of Sand, bowing: ”So I am naturally willing, Your Majesty.”

The King of Sand nodded, then turned to seek Fang Hong’s opinion: ”Young man, what do you think?”

What else could Fang Hong do, though he still couldn’t fathom the King of Sand’s intention, after glancing at the Oathkeeper Clan’s chief in front of him, he could only nod.

Barbaltan then looked at his eldest son: ”Aleph.”

And at this moment, this Prince was looking at Fang Hong with a surprised look—he was not unaware of information from outside, and connecting with what Lavali had said earlier, he naturally began to understand, in the conversation between Count Vaisu and the father King, who on earth was they referring to.

Though Fanric was quite far from Istania.

The disaster a hundred years ago at Idus was very close, and the reappearance of Nikopolas in Fanric naturally caused quite a stir in this Desert Kingdom. Especially among the nobles who knew the inside story of the disaster a hundred years ago, even more so. Though this matter was not much related to the Istania people themselves, as the heir apparent of a nation, Aleph more or less understood some related rumors.

Naturally, he understood what had happened recently in Fanric, as well as the related rumors about the Dragon’s Alchemist.

It was just that up until now, Aleph hadn’t connected the legendary character with the person in front of him, Fang Hong.

”My friend, Ade...”

Fang Hong was a bit helpless, what ’Dragon’s Alchemist’ was only a momentary joke in the community, it couldn’t be compared with the title of the Artisan Association. But he couldn’t say it was not him, so he could only nod.

Aleph’s eyes revealed a look of surprise, but since the King of Sand had spoken, he didn’t dare to delay any longer, only gesturing to Fang Hong to say—we’ll talk later—then hastened to respectfully reply: ”Father King, I am ready.”

Only then did the King of Sand nod in satisfaction: ”Then Aleph, take your friend forward.”

Saisheer stepped forward, the Master of Ceremonies already waiting there for a long time, naturally understanding Barbaltan’s meaning, he handed over the staff in his hand.
