Pillar of Yita

The workshop’s furnishings were also familiar to Fang Hong, yet they couldn’t compare to what he had seen in Dulun and Fanric, workshops affiliated with the Elfendo Council—and even Rose Workshop was much more luxurious than this. Istania was not only on the outskirts of the Colin Ishurian Kingdom’s political map, but also on the fringes of the actual map and the alchemy map, and no matter how thriving the Magic Guided Construct School was, it couldn’t change this fact.

These details were evident.

If it were a private workshop of the Colin Royal Family’s court sorcerer, it definitely wouldn’t be like this.

However, Fang Hong didn’t underestimate a true Alchemy Master, much like Madam Aierna was, despite being the Chairman of a remote Artisan Association, her skill level far surpassed his.

The clarity of rank suppression is simple.

And meeting with this Master Berlede also didn’t exceed Fang Hong’s expectations—though he found the master to be younger than anticipated; Fang Hong had initially thought this court sorcerer alchemy master was an old man, yet unexpectedly, he was a middle-aged man in his prime.

His temples only had slight greys.

The master was equally surprised by his youth and discussed the principles and structure of the Tower-Style Magic Conductor Furnace from a professional alchemist’s perspective, praising Fang Hong’s knowledge. However, Fang Hong sensed a different undertone, realizing the master initially thought him to be a fraud.

Of course, this no longer represented Master Berlede’s current views; after discussing face-to-face with Fang Hong, he completely dismissed this notion and greatly appreciated Fang Hong’s youth and ability. Alchemists are roughly such people, rarely considering anything beyond their craft, speaking straightforwardly; within a few words, Fang Hong pieced together the whole story.

Fang Hong felt somewhat amused, yet he somewhat understood the master’s thoughts; truly, it is common to see young alchemists, but rare to see young crystal artisans who also understand such ancient items like the Tower-Style Magic Conductor Furnace. If this wasn’t himself, perhaps even he would consider himself a boastful fellow.

Additionally, the master was the prince’s teacher; in this aspect, caution was naturally a must.

Nonetheless, after clearing up the misunderstanding, both parties found this meeting significantly valuable. Before a genuine Alchemy Master, Fang Hong surely was insignificant, but his insights on the Tower-Style Magic Conductor Furnace and ancient alchemy had once greatly benefited top-level artisan masters like Aquitez, and even inadvertently facilitated the revival of combat fairies, let alone Master Berlede, a court sorcerer of Istania?

For Fang Hong, naturally, Berlede’s knowledge level far exceeded that of Aierna’s; he deserved the title of master, and within the Artisan Association, the title of an artisan master was certainly his—though possibly the weakest, like a deputy minister of a branch department.

Perhaps out of guilt for mistaking Fang Hong, this ’young talent’, as a fraud, Berlede uncharacteristically patiently explained some issues Fang Hong had regarding sea monster constructs, and even shared some insights from his youth.

These things are invaluable, after all, they are experiences from a master’s youth. Fang Hong received them and was immediately prompted by the system ’obtained the original manuscript of the master’, acquiring thousands of experience points and finding himself hesitating whether he should return to Dulun and plunder his teacher’s house.

And that wasn’t all.

Berlede examined Delan’s ’Stellar Network’ skill, pondered for a moment, and then said to him:

”I’m not very familiar with this, it’s another direction within the theory of magic guided constructs. The author’s profound research on Ether Theory is truly admirable, way beyond me; moreover, I can assert, there won’t be a second person in Quistack who could have the same proficiency in this domain, searching elsewhere would likely be fruitless.”

”Then what can I do?”

Fang Hong was dumbfounded.

Being engrossed in the discussion, he briefly forgot his purpose for coming here.

Through cognitive experience, he had reached nearly level twenty-six on ’Celestial Knowledge’ these days, yet struggled with learning the ’Stellar Network’; from the start, it felt like deciphering a heavenly book, not just a bit confusing but completely unintelligible.

Berlede pondered for a moment before responding, ”Master Mayote, the former chairman of Quistack Artisan Association, is an expert in this field.”

Fang Hong promptly asked, ”Where is he?”

Upon hearing Fang Hong’s question, Aleph helplessly responded beside him, ”Master Mayote passed away three years ago.”

”???”

Fang Hong looked at the two, bewildered, wondering what was the point in mentioning him, were they playing with him?

But Berlede continued, ”The master left some books while alive, which should still be preserved in the Royal Library; you might find answers there.”

Fang Hong almost froze, thinking he misheard, and instinctively asked, ”Which library?”

”The Royal Library,” Berlede glanced at the Crown Prince beside him, ”Just let him take you inside.”

Aleph then pounded his chest assuringly.

”No problem, Ade, leave this to me.”

Fang Hong looked at the two, slightly stunned. Was this the proverbial case of seeking high and low only to find without effort?
