Pillar of Yita

As for the remaining three skills ’Stellar Network’, ’Dragon Scale Sequence’, and ’Celestial Knowledge’, they seem a bit excessive. ’Stellar Network’ is a lesser Ether form, which can coexist with the primary Ether Theory; this should be Delan’s own discovery. ’Dragon Scale Sequence’, however, is an Alchemy Array group built on the foundation of the former—the so-called sequence, must be a combination of multiple arrays, its appearance somewhat resembles layers of overlapping dragon scales, hence the name.

As for ’Celestial Knowledge’, it’s not related to religion; it’s merely a theory of studying the ’Floating Island Whale’ from the Second World. Floating Island Whale, or Celestial Whale, Phantom World Dragon, all are its names.

It seems Delan’s theory must have been inspired by the Phantom Dragon.

Six intermediate skills extend into twelve prerequisite basic skills, and also some various lesser skill requirements. However, those E level and F level skills require so little experience, just a few thousand or even a few hundred experiences can suffice, Fang Hong didn’t bother with them. Out of the twelve basic skills, he roughly satisfied about half; mainly the prerequisite skills for the latter three were too obscure, he had hardly touched at all.

Because the plugin made from this technology is so powerful, Fang Hong certainly still considers mastering it, no matter how obscure, investment in experience is still necessary.

He first selected ’Celestial Knowledge’ among the three prerequisite skills because it was closest to his research direction. The knowledge related to the Dragon Society and Introduction to Flight had been studied before, no need to repeat learning. Overall, it requires the least experience investment and shows the fastest results.

During his experience at Bain Fortress, he gained nearly ten thousand cognitive experiences, added to the previous leftover bits, almost enough.

’Celestial Knowledge’ mainly provides some enhancements related to the cognition of Phantom Dragon, along with knowledge indexing, and also offers a minor calculative power enhancement in controlling flight constructs. In terms of its experience requirement, it barely balances investment and output. Of course, if he were to hunt Celestial Whale, then it would be more worthwhile.

What knowledge to learn, naturally depends on the person.

The time spent learning passed unknowingly—even though directly pointing to the skill takes just a moment, learning through manuscripts is a different feeling, one can gain a portion of cognitive experience from learning. Fang Hong, from Kapuka until now, has been accustomed to this learning method, most Invokers haven’t had this experience.

For him, such matters are neither good nor bad, although time-consuming, it is well-known that natives are stronger than Invokers at the same rank, and once they become Dragon Knights, they accumulate a lot of cognitive experience. This cognitive experience comes from daily learning accumulation.

It can be said that Invokers from the beginning dry up their potential through the system, although progress is swift, the momentum inevitably declines. However, actually neither can be said to be superior or inferior, after all, Invokers in Eteliria have only ’lifespan’ under twenty years, for Fang Hong, it’s merely a personal habit.

So, the learning process continues smoothly. On the third night, above the Sand Sea, the stars set in the west, dawn rises, under a shallow red sky, Fang Hong could finally see on the southern horizon a faint ivory white city wall, emerging within the Sand Sea.

Quistack has arrived.

...

A faint ray of sunlight pierced through the sunstone apex of the Holy Sanctuary, falling on the basalt floored grand hall.

The Goddess’s Holy Icon stood solemn and dignified, holding the Holy Sword, draped with light veils, her gaze resembled the sun and moon, striding within the undulating dust. The craftsmen’s ingenuity seemingly brought the stone to life—each wrinkle expressed by the carving knife, on the hard material, yet depicting a softness akin to flowing water.

Bishop Faris bathed and dressed, personally lit incense, and with the assistance of attendants, donned the Holy Mantle—starting from the top, embroidered fully with holy adages. The adages of successive Archbishops, the doctrine of the Goddess, Holy Emblem with wolf head, snow-light keen sword, all on it. Finally holding the Holy Emblem, simultaneously hung a radiant ceremonial sword at the waist, donned the crown, and his favorite monocle, lightly flicking the silver chain onto the ear, adjusting the lens position, he then stepped onto the Holy Altar.

He personally recited a segment of doctrine scripture, and reverently placed the Holy Sword on the Holy Altar, drawing Holy Water from the Holy Grail, flicking it onto the sword, looking up at the Goddess’s Holy Icon, Lady Marlan exuded authority without anger, the chanting echoing beneath the grand hall filled with a sense of sacred solemnity.

The Archbishop bowed, clasping his chest, then slowly stepped back.

This ceremony lasted about a quarter of an hour.

Sitting in the front row alone, Fang Hong was honored for this, the Archbishop personally hosting the ceremony for him, seeking the blessing of the Lord Goddess. If it were a native, they might be overwhelmed with favor, yet Fang Hong felt indifferent to it, fortunately, he was Chinese. If he were a Christian, he probably wouldn’t step into this place.

After all, it’s a divide between worlds.

Moreover, it is said to be a blessing—he glanced at the system interface, no indication of any BUFF, it appears this so-called ’blessing’ does question its effect. Although the religious essence of the two lands differ, they seem surprisingly consistent in their skill of duping believers.
