A Sect from a Spirit Vein

Chapter 434: Chapter 392: Secret Discussion

”It’s still the same as initially decided.” Lu Qian said, ”Currently there are only six true disciples in total, taking in two is enough for me.”

After various discussions were settled, Wang Yu and Yang Jiye bid farewell and left. The mission was completed successfully and finally, they could take a good rest.

However, after a stick of incense, Yang Jiye returned again. As expected, Lu Qian understood his hint and was still waiting here.

”Is it about Senior Brother Wang?”

Yang Jiye nodded: ”Since Junior Brother Wang succeeded in Foundation Establishment, not only has his form changed, but the Dao patterns are strange, and most importantly, his personality has drastically changed, becoming completely different from before. If it were just a little more ruthless, it wouldn’t be a big deal, but during this task, some of his thoughts and actions have truly entered the demon path. If not corrected, it will eventually cause a major disaster.”

As he spoke, he recounted all of Wang Yu’s behavior during this journey. Even thinking back on it now, his complete disregard for life and unscrupulous actions still chilled one’s heart.

”Junior Brother Wang now seems to have lost all living emotions.” Yang Jiye’s expression was heavy, ”Throughout this journey, I hardly saw him smile. He is no longer the gentle and humble Junior Brother Wang he once was.”

After listening quietly, Lu Qian also felt a slight heaviness in his heart. Although he had some suspicion and intuition before, he didn’t expect it to have reached this stage.

As time passed, Wang Yu’s abnormal thinking seemed to have become increasingly severe.

Combining the situation Yang Jiye explained, Lu Qian had some speculations.

”He hasn’t completely lost his emotions.” Lu Qian said slowly, ”If a person has no emotions, they would be nothing more than a clay figurine, without preferences, pursuits, motivation, or action. But Junior Brother Wang isn’t like that, he has strong initiative and competitive desire, eager to express his views and dominate some affairs to achieve his goals.”

”What goals?”

”To strengthen the Yunshan Sect,” Lu Qian said quite confidently, ”If he were selfish, it would be impossible for him to turn over the rare treasures obtained from the forbidden land and all the spoils of this mission to the Mountain Gate, or even confess his secrets.”

Hearing Lu Qian’s words, Wang Yu’s words seemed to echo in his ears: ”Senior Brother Yang, you don’t need to think too much, I, Wang Yu, will always be a Yunshan disciple.” Reflecting on all Wang Yu had done, Yang Jiye also felt slightly relieved.

”Since it’s not a complete lack of emotions, then how did he become like this?”

Lu Qian pondered for a moment and spoke about the ninety-nine deceit talismans he discovered on Wang Yu’s Divine Soul earlier.

”These are talismans placed by the Corpse Ancestor in the Corpse Prison Forbidden Land, extremely strange, and cannot be approached or removed. These talismans were used by the Corpse Ancestor to nurture and control corpse servants, naturally having the effect of sealing memory and erasing emotions.”

”However, by coincidence, Senior Brother Wang pierced and severely damaged the talisman, retaining a bit of true spirit. Additionally, the corpse organs and corpse arms within his body continuously generate evil qi. It must be these combined that formed his current appearance.”

”Under the influence of the remaining power of the deceit talismans and the corpse body, his warmth and kindness are slowly excluded, with cold and ruthless beastliness gradually taking the lead. He still has emotions, feeling excitement, joy, and satisfaction after achieving goals, but these are all desires under the dominion of his beastly nature.”

”Correspondingly, in order to achieve his goals, he is willing to do anything and by any means.”

After hearing Lu Qian’s judgment, Yang Jiye nodded continuously, feeling it made a lot of sense, and anxiously asked, ”Then how can we correct it?”

Lu Qian shook his head: ”As long as the strange talismans on his Divine Soul haven’t been cleared, I’m afraid Senior Brother Wang’s current personality and thinking can’t be corrected. Even if we find ways to stimulate him, his warmth just rising will be swallowed by his beastly nature.”

Hearing this, Yang Jiye was greatly disappointed: ”So we just watch as Junior Brother Wang destroys himself?”

”The only thing we can do is guide Senior Brother Wang’s strength onto the right path.” Lu Qian said solemnly, ”Since he is firmly committed to his identity as a Yunshan disciple, and everything he does is for the sect, as long as we carefully supervise and support him, correcting his overly extreme actions, we can avoid a catastrophe.”

Saying this, thinking of his impending seclusion, he couldn’t help but feel a bit worried.

”Senior Brother Yang, you have the closest relationship with Senior Brother Wang. In the future, we’ll have to rely on you to guide and restrain him more. We’ll keep thinking of ways and will one day remove the talismans on Senior Brother Wang’s Divine Soul.”

Yang Jiye sighed and nodded heavily.

It was already late at night. While Lu Qian and Yang Jiye were secretly discussing, in a quiet courtyard on Golden Dawn Peak, inside a pavilion, Zhang Lemei replaced the spirit stone, making the rootless fire burn brighter.

In the bright light, a boy at the desk frowned, engrossed in his studies.

The child was eight or nine years old, with plain looks but fair complexion, taller than peers of the same age.

It was already late September, autumn had ended, and winter was coming. The lone Golden Dawn Peak soared into the clouds, and naturally, the night was a bit chilly. Since this child had not begun his Dao journey, he couldn’t resist the cold with spiritual power like cultivators.

Therefore, he had a fire pearl wrapped in heavy silk at his feet, radiating warmth. The desk, made of a whole piece of fire pepper wood, naturally exuded warmth and fragrance.

The boy wore a small purple gold crown, with a gemstone headband featuring two dragons playing with a pearl, a silver-red fox fur robe with floral patterns, over a gold-embroidered white python robe, and fastened with a gathering pearl silver belt, looking like a young master from a wealthy family, exuding nobility and with an extraordinary status.

But due to his young age, studying for so long had made him groggy, barely keeping it together, and feeling that the words in the books before him were twisting, he couldn’t help but tilt his head.

”Pa!” A whip crack immediately woke him up. The boy turned his head fearfully and glanced at Zhang Lemei: ”Mother...”

Zhang Lemei glared with wide eyes: ”Why are you looking at me? Look at your book! Have you memorized the twelve acupoints on this meridian?”

”Oh, oh...” The boy quickly focused on the book, pinching his thigh with his fingers to stimulate himself to stay awake.

”Yunxing, your spiritual root will mature soon, and you’ll soon be embarking on the Dao path.” Seeing Tan Yunxing’s serious demeanor, Zhang Lemei’s expression softened, ”Your father passed away early, so you must work extra hard to become strong soon.”

Tan Yunxing nodded repeatedly.

After a while, Zhang Lemei came over and snatched the book: ”Finished reading? Let me test you. What is the basis of yang heel, and what is its accumulator?”

Tan Yunxing nervously stared at Zhang Lemei, looking at her stern face, and forgot everything he barely remembered earlier.

”Are there words on my face? Speak!” Zhang Lemei scolded.
