A Sect from a Spirit Vein

Chapter 432: Chapter 390: Nonstop Hustle

When the time came to the end of September, although various war preparations and internal affairs were already arranged and he could take a breather, adjusting his mindset to prepare for seclusion, Lu Qian was still too busy to stop.

The main focus was on two tasks.

The first task was the conversion and use of new pill formulas.

After exchanging Innate Red Grass for four exclusive pill formulas from the Danxia Sect, Lu Qian proposed once again to use his own formulas in exchange for other formulas from the Danxia Sect.

Dong Chengjun stood there in a daze, revealing an expression of, ”What are you talking about?”

”Fellow Daoist Dong, do not underestimate us,” Lu Qian said with a smile, ”Our family also has Golden Core inheritance, and it’s not unusual for our ancestor to have unique opportunities, possessing a few exclusive pill formulas.”

Then, under Dong Chengjun’s incredulous gaze, he took out the only three usable pill formulas for Foundation Establishment and below from the Profound Monarch’s Collection.

For the Foundation Establishment Stage, the ”Yanghu Powder” for healing injuries, the ”Seven-Star Pill” for healing, strengthening the roots and foundation of the Golden Core Stage, and the ”Clear Jade Mist Rain Pill” for detoxification and miasma removal.

After examination, Dong Chengjun was also pleasantly surprised and satisfied.

Although the Danxia Sect also had similar types of pill formulas, the cloud stone from another mountain can polish jade, and the Yunshan Sect’s three formulas had their unique aspects. Regardless of the ingenuity in refining, the proportion of spiritual medicines, or the combination of medicinal properties, there was much to be gained.

However, since the Danxia Sect already had similar formulas, and both the effects of theirs and the Yunshan Sect’s had their merits, what they valued was just alchemy experience and cross-reference, they would not pay much for this.

Therefore, after some bargaining, Lu Qian exchanged these three pill formulas for one for the Qi Cultivation Stage, one for Foundation Establishment, and one for the Golden Core Stage.

In the end, the Yunshan Sect gained a total of seven new pill formulas from this exchange. Dong Chengjun also received the Innate Red Grass and three new pill formulas. He politely declined Lu Qian’s invitation to stay, carefully stored the Innate Red Grass, and hurriedly returned to the Danxia Sect.

In this way, the exclusive pill formulas possessed by the Yunshan Sect are:

Four formulas for the Qi Cultivation Stage, including Three Treasures Jade Dew Pill for auxiliary cultivation, Four Treasures Purifying Spirit Pill, Star Dew Nourishing Spirit Pill for nourishing Divine Sense, and One Qi Evergreen Pill for healing injuries.

Three elixirs for the Foundation Establishment Stage, including Rainbow Light Spirit Dew for auxiliary cultivation, Immortal Spirit Replenishing God Pill for restoring Divine Sense, and Yanghu Powder for physical injury recovery.

Four elixirs for the Golden Core Stage, including Xuanyi Tripod Qi Pill for auxiliary cultivation, Three Elements Qi Powder for repairing Divine Sense and nourishing Divine Soul, Seven-Star Pill for healing and strengthening the roots and foundation, and Clear Jade Mist Rain Pill for detoxification and miasma removal.

Through this exchange, the most commonly used, widely consumed, and universally applicable pill formulas for the Qi Cultivation, Foundation Establishment, and Golden Core levels have been all collected!

As long as the elixir refining techniques improve, and these elixirs are successfully refined, the Yunshan Sect can essentially break away from dependency on Guh Niqiang and can produce exclusive elixirs in large quantities for use by the entire sect!

In case of overproduction, they could even be sold externally, creating a golden brand for the Yunshan Sect.

Although the formulas obtained from the Danxia Sect, from Foundation Establishment and above, can only be used internally by the Yunshan Sect and cannot be sold or supplied externally, even just a few of the Qi Cultivation Stage elixirs could bring enormous profits.

Although practitioners in the Qi Cultivation Stage have low purchasing power, the sheer number of them means that selling at volume and thin margins can be quite astonishing as well.

The Danxia Sect and the Yunshan Sect are nearly fifteen thousand miles apart, so they can’t compete with each other for the time being.

Thus, during this period, Lu Qian and Jiang Qingfeng jointly made arrangements for administrative positions, and simultaneously issued the task of refining new elixirs. A large number of disciples skilled in alchemy and medicine refining were gathered, carefully selected to pick out a batch of loyal, reliable, and technically skilled disciples, beginning with tackling the Qi Cultivation Stage elixirs.

Alchemy and artifact refining are similar: With mature tools and abundant materials, cultivators can refine products a large realm higher. This means Qi Cultivation Stage practitioners can at most refine Foundation Establishment Stage elixirs.

So once all the Qi Cultivation Stage elixirs are successfully refined, they can also begin trying a few Foundation Establishment Stage spirit pills.

These exclusive pill formulas have a higher refining difficulty than ordinary elixirs, and the consumption of spiritual medicines and materials is also more expensive, so once again, the treasury of the Yunshan Sect opened wide. Supplying both alchemy and artifact refining—two major money-burning projects—the Spirit Stones flowed like running water.

At the current pace, it is estimated that even just mastering the three new Qi Cultivation Stage elixirs would take a year and a half, with over one hundred thousand Spirit Stones in trial and error costs.

”Even the unsuccessfully refined products don’t all need to be discarded,” Lu Qian said while inspecting the refining progress, ”At the beginning, it’s naturally not possible, but once the efficacy reaches about fifty or sixty percent, they could be launched for low-cost sales, recouping some of the investment somehow.”

The second matter was the True Disciple Initiation Ceremony scheduled for the first of October.

According to the Yunshan Sect’s disciple cultivation and promotion system, cultivators who join as Outer Disciples and advance along the way, once becoming a True Disciple, and hang the Golden Feather on their arm, have the status to become disciples of the Sect Leader or Elders.

From the time the sect was reestablished to now, nearly eight years have passed. Reestablishing the mountain gate, struggling through hardships, yet for the disciples, a newly established sect with a mostly vacant management backbone presented abundant opportunities and chances, where taking responsibility and daring to try ensure a considerable number of merit points.

In addition, there had been no end to conflicts large and small, with many accumulating merits through battle.

By this year, finally, a few disciples managed to progress to True Disciple level, achieving the threshold for apprenticeship, relying on their own merits and decent cultivation.

In another perspective, it was finally time for Lu Qian and several Elders to take on disciples!

It was a major event, a joyful event, a grand event!

Lu Qian deliberately chose the auspicious hour on the first of October to hold a unified True Disciple Initiation Ceremony, both to celebrate the Sect Leader and Elders accepting disciples and to set an exemplary standard for other disciples, motivating them to strive harder.

As for the upcoming ceremony, Lu Qian attached great importance to it, planning and reviewing it personally, even more so than the ceremony for becoming dao partners with Senior Sister Qingfeng, which prompted some playful complaints from the senior sister, pretending to be angry.

Lu Qian had to sacrifice his self, employing all his powers to woo her for hours until he was weak in both knees, appeasing the senior sister’s anger.

In conclusion, all the prospective disciple promotion lists have been reviewed, the disciples’ intentions for apprenticeship were already coordinated with several elders, the ceremony process is basically settled, and invitations for guests are now being drafted.

Since it involves the Sect Leader accepting disciples for the first time—or rather, the creation of the Sect Leader’s Disciple—a significant and extraordinary event, invitations would surely be extensively sent to invite allies to witness the ceremony.

Additionally, they needed to wait for Yang Jiye and Wang Yu’s return; otherwise, who would the disciples bow to in apprenticeship without the presence of the prospective masters?

Just as he was thinking of them, Wang Yu’s communication arrived.

He and Yang Jiye had already entered Liuhua Valley and were sending communications to Lu Qian through the Thousand-Mile Mirror there.
