Berserk God of War

After thinking it over briefly, Sikong Jing took a deep breath and continued to ask...

”In the Cangyu Sect, isn’t there any neutral powerhouse or Guest Elder type figures? If you use your identity as Inheritors of the first-generation Master of Yu Vein, can you sway the Neutral Parties to help the Yu Vein?”

As Sikong Jing spoke, Teng Yue’s gaze gradually solidified, a sharp light flickering in his eyes.

Finally, he nodded heavily and replied, ”There are indeed neutral elders, and there is indeed a chance to sway them. The difficulty isn’t small, but we can try. The premise, though, is that Uncle Ying and I must be able to return to the Cangyu Sect.”

Hearing this answer, Sikong Jing couldn’t help but laugh. This was exactly the sentence he wanted to hear from Teng Yue.

He suddenly stepped back two steps, then said to Teng Yue, ”Then I’ll ask Brother Teng to capture me now, and use me as a hostage.”

With Sikong Jing’s words, Teng Yue once again froze, his mouth open as he stared at the former. Capture him as a hostage?

What did that even mean?

Seeing this, Sikong Jing slowly replied, ”Just what it sounds like. Use me to threaten Chai Gong into withdrawing his troops, and then use my life to conduct the first negotiation with the Cang Lineage.”

If they wanted to change the structure of the Cangyu Sect, if they wanted to ensure all the people of the Yu Vein survived, they had to negotiate first.

Turn battle and slaughter into sitting down to talk...

If they wanted to make the Cang Lineage sit down at the negotiating table, they needed the strength and bargaining chips to do so. The strength was exactly what Sikong Jing had just mentioned: those neutral powerhouses and Ying Sanmeng’s second Great Realm of the Divine Martial Stage.

The bargaining chips were Teng Yue’s Yu Vein inheritance, plus Sikong Jing, the Black Scale Demon.

Why insist on negotiating? Naturally because...

Sikong Jing wanted to change not only the current situation of the Yu Vein, he also wanted to change the current situation of the Demon Vein. He wanted the Cangyu Sect to gradually return to its former state as the Cangyu Demon Sect.

Although the Black Demon’s Memory Illusion Realm hadn’t spelled it out, Sikong Jing could feel his regret and guilt toward the Cangyu Demon Sect.

That was why Sikong Jing didn’t want the Demon Puppet to appear directly, and didn’t want things to get too bloody. He wanted to make up for the regrets Black Demon had in his lifetime.

As for the people of the Cang Lineage, once the Yu Vein and Demon Vein grew strong, they could naturally be dealt with.

During this period of time, Sikong Jing had been constantly refining this plan.

”Use your life to negotiate with the Cang Lineage?” Teng Yue was still utterly puzzled. On what basis would a Black Scale Demon make the Cang Lineage withdraw?

Sikong Jing nodded heavily. ”Because I’m very soon going to become the Inheritor of the first-generation Demon Vein Master.”

With that sentence, Teng Yue’s whole body jolted violently and his eyes went wide.

”To snatch me, this Demon Vein Inheritor, back from your hands—do you think the Cang Lineage will withdraw or not? Once they withdraw, we can get out, and then we can conduct the first negotiation...”

”If I’m not mistaken, the Cang Lineage will definitely, as a precaution, bring the important figures of your Yu Vein to the Divine Demon Island.”

”So our first round of negotiations isn’t for anything else, it’s simply to get your Yu Vein people back.”

Gulp...

Listening to Sikong Jing’s explanation, Teng Yue swallowed hard.

But Sikong Jing wasn’t finished...

”After we get your Yu Vein people back, I’ll be free. By then, as the Demon Vein Inheritor, of course I can command the Demons to become the Yu Vein’s support...”

”With both the Yu Vein and Demon Vein Inheritors on our side, will those Neutral Parties be even more inclined toward us?”

Teng Yue’s expression was already showing faint excitement, and he nodded heavily.

Ordinary Outer Sect Elders didn’t know what the Demon Vein really was; they only knew that Demons were servants... But as the strongest disciple of the Cangyu Yu Mai, Teng Yue of course knew that the Cangyu Sect used to be called the Cangyu Demon Sect.

Although not much had been preserved in the historical records, and they barely understood the true existence of Black Demon as the ancestor...

They were clear on the general picture.

”Then let’s begin our move.” Sikong Jing said with a smile.

Teng Yue clenched his fists tightly, then drew his sword without hesitation and held it to Sikong Jing’s neck.

But he immediately asked, ”Wait. There’s that Top-level Emperor Demon and the Emperor Martial Lock, and from what I see, the Emperor Realm Demons seem to have Heart Devouring Locks in their bodies as well. That might cause problems at the time.”

With those two things around, the Demon Vein couldn’t become their support.

At this, Sikong Jing simply smiled calmly...

He’d long known about the Emperor Martial Lock, and he’d likewise heard about the Heart Devouring Lock from staying by Chai Gong’s side, so this wasn’t a problem at all. He’d already taken it into account.

Looking at Teng Yue, Sikong Jing spoke lightly with a smile. ”Don’t worry. The power of the first-generation Demon Vein Master will unlock all that for the Demons.”

In truth, the Demon Puppet could easily remove the Emperor Martial Lock and Heart Devouring Lock.

But right now, Sikong Jing still couldn’t reveal that he would in the future control the Demon Island. This secret couldn’t be known to anyone.

Next, he only needed to appear as the Demon Vein Inheritor. That would be enough.

With Ying Beitong’s Illusion having said all that, Sikong Jing could deliberately make his Demon Vein Inheritor status come with very limited authority.

Hearing Sikong Jing’s words, Teng Yue finally let go of his worries...

Suddenly, Teng Yue looked toward everyone fighting outside the canyon. At this moment, Ying Sanmeng had been suppressed to the point he couldn’t break through to the second Great Realm of the Divine Martial Stage; he was in grave danger.

Even though he was at the Divine Martial Stage, he was alone!

Teng Yue took a deep breath, then opened his mouth and bellowed, ”All of you, stop right now, or I’ll... kill him.”

Teng Yue’s voice crashed toward the battlefield outside the canyon.

In an instant, everyone fighting froze and looked into the canyon. Ying Sanmeng was stunned on the spot, the same thought popping into his mind as Teng Yue had earlier... Why is that Black Scale Demon still in the prison?

At the same time, Chai Gong, who’d been merrily fighting away, was dumbfounded. How had the Black Scale Demon suddenly fallen into Teng Yue’s hands?

The other Cangyu Dead Soldiers also froze, their eyes full of doubt.

But they still didn’t really know what the deal was with the Black Scale Demon. They hadn’t had the spare mind earlier to learn about him, since Chai Gong had only said that this Black Scale Demon was very important.

As for the prisoners, they blinked their eyes, utterly clueless about what was what with the Black Scale Demon.

The Demons did know what the Black Scale Demon was, but they had no right to speak...

At this moment, Teng Yue deliberately put on a sinister, terrifying expression and said heavily once more, ”If the Cang Lineage’s Death Soldiers dare keep besieging my Uncle Ying, I’ll kill this Black Scale Demon right now.”

Whoosh...

With Teng Yue’s words, Ying Sanmeng seized the chance, flickered back into the Little Canyon, and for the moment didn’t ask much.

Chai Gong finally reacted. He pointed at Sikong Jing, his finger trembling, and shouted, ”Black Scale Demon, how the hell did you end up in Teng Yue’s hands, what the hell are you playing at?”

Hearing this, Sikong Jing blinked, putting on a flustered look as he spoke...

”I don’t know, you were just fighting merrily, and then somehow your Soldier Killing Array Power seemed to push me over here by accident.”

”Lord Chai Gong, didn’t you say you’d send me out of the prison quickly? Why are you dragging things out like this?”
