Berserk God of War

According to War Tiger’s description, the prison inside the Barrier wasn’t supposed to look like what he was seeing now. Although War Tiger himself had never gone into the Barrier, in history there had been an extremely small number of Demons who entered it and then came out again.

That was how War Tiger knew about it, but there had never been any mention of a palace from his mouth.

Suddenly, Sikong Jing muttered to himself, ”I see... it seems I was moved by Space Transmission.”

Earlier, when he was blasted in by Junior Brother Bian, he had deliberately added force and crashed toward the central Barrier inside, and then he sensed a power that transferred him away.

It was at the very instant he touched the Barrier’s screen that he felt as if he’d been transported by Space Transmission.

”Why am I different from the others, why was I transmitted here by Space Transmission? Could it be that I’m really about to come into contact with Black Demon?”

Sikong Jing wiped the blood at the corner of his mouth, then murmured again under his breath.

Earlier, after receiving the four inheritances, there had been no confirmation or proof that the Inheritor was Black Demon.

Everything had all stemmed from Sikong Jing’s own guesses and deductions, but now that he had been transmitted here by Space Transmission, it proved his deduction was very likely correct.

Sikong Jing was approaching the ultimate secret of the Divine Demon Island Sea Domain.

It was highly possible that during the inheritance, it hadn’t been discovered that he was the new Master of Ten Thousand Beasts, but once he truly entered the prison, the Guardians that Black Demon had left here discovered him at the first instant.

This dark palace was very likely the true hub of the Divine Demon Island Sea Domain, and even the control center of the entire Desert Sea Absolute Array.

Thinking of this, Sikong Jing’s gaze swept around again, and suddenly his eyes froze.

He saw that around the Dark Palace there was also a small river, and swimming within the river were... a school of black fish, and these fish instantly unlocked Sikong Jing’s memories.

Those memories of floating and sinking in the great sea—his body had been moved by these black fish as they swam.

”My deduction was right again. My arrival at the Divine Demon Island Sea Domain was not a coincidence.”

”But why didn’t the fish take me directly to the Divine Demon Island, and instead brought me to the tiny Demon Scale Island?”

With that doubt in mind, Sikong Jing looked again toward the main gate of the Dark Palace. The gate was open, yet one couldn’t see what was inside, as if it were a gigantic, deep and terrifying hole.

Thump, thump, thump...

Suddenly, heavy footsteps rang from within the gate. The hair all over Sikong Jing’s body bristled slightly as he stared toward the gate.

Gradually, the sound of footsteps emerged from inside the gate, and there was more than one.

After a while, a figure slowly walked out through the gate, and this figure made Sikong Jing’s pupils contract violently... It was a humanoid figure five or six meters tall, clad in armor from head to toe.

Even its face was covered in armor, revealing only an exceedingly narrow pair of eyes.

This humanoid figure carried a terrifying aura upon it, absolutely not merely the aura of the Holy Martial Stage, though Sikong Jing could not judge its exact realm.

”Guardian, Demon Puppet?” Sikong Jing murmured.

The next instant, a second colossal figure appeared, and Sikong Jing’s pupils contracted violently once more.

It too was clad entirely in armor, and likewise stood five or six meters tall, but this second figure had no arms.

Then, a third figure followed out.

Same attire, same build, but this third colossal figure had no legs... instead, it walked with its hands supporting itself on the ground.

Under Sikong Jing’s eerie gaze, yet another three colossal figures came out.

However, aside from the first figure, all the others existed with incomplete bodies.

Some held their heads in their hands, some were missing half their bodies, and some had bodies split open by a deep, gaping crack.

And each figure was extremely terrifying, their Demon Intent surging without end.

Just as Sikong Jing was observing, the six figures simultaneously bowed down and said, ”We pay respects to the new Master of Ten Thousand Beasts!”

Their voices were ancient and hoarse, yet carried a somewhat mechanical tone.

Buzz...

Sikong Jing’s mind rumbled like thunder. He knew his guesses were bit by bit becoming reality.

Putting his expression in order, Sikong Jing slowly said, ”Rise.”

The six figures rose together, and Sikong Jing directly asked, ”Can you tell me what this place is, and what your origin is?”

The intact colossal figure stepped out heavily...

He bowed slightly and said, ”We are the Demon Puppets forged by Black Demon Lord. We are all Guardians of the new Master of Ten Thousand Beasts. We are also Guardians of the Divine Demon Island Sea Domain. We have been waiting for the new Master of Ten Thousand Beasts to arrive.”

As this voice fell, Sikong Jing closed his eyes deeply. Everything had been guessed correctly by him.

Black Demon, it really was him!

”Can you tell me everything?” Sikong Jing asked again, deeply.

The intact Demon Puppet shook its head in reply, ”We are Demon Puppets. We only act in accordance with Black Demon Lord’s commands. We cannot tell you.”

Sikong Jing was taken aback, then secretly let out a bitter smile.

These Demon Puppets were nothing like Qianyuan War Emperor back then; they were existences without consciousness.

They had merely been refined into being.

However, the intact Demon Puppet then said, ”When we discovered the new Master of Ten Thousand Beasts appearing at the center of the Deserted Sea Forbidden Land and reaching the realm preset by Black Demon Lord, we guided the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts to the Divine Demon Island Sea Domain...”

Sikong Jing was slightly stunned. Discovered by Demon Puppets at the center of the Deserted Sea Forbidden Land?

Shouldn’t it have been in the Desert Sea Absolute Array, only when he blasted apart his Demon Body that he was discovered?

Suddenly, Sikong Jing’s whole body trembled faintly again as he thought to himself, ”Right, it was at Qianwang Holy Tower that I was discovered by the Demon Puppets. Because I killed Ba Zhun and the Six Clawed Mixed Beast, the Demon Puppets then detected me.”

”Afterward, in accordance with Black Demon’s arrangements, they tracked me to the Desert Sea Absolute Array.”

”Then they sent the black fish to bring me to Demon Scale Island.”

”They are existences without self-awareness. They merely carried out the tasks Black Demon had preset. So, bringing me to Demon Scale Island, the very edge of Divine Demon Island, was enough to count as completing their mission.”

Sikong Jing peeled back the fog bit by bit, gradually sorting out his thoughts.

Of course, there were still many things he couldn’t figure out, such as what inheritance looked like within Black Demon’s preset arrangements.

Shaking his head, Sikong Jing fixed his gaze again on the intact Demon Puppet and asked, ”Where is Black Demon?”

Now he wanted to know what had become of Black Demon. All the secrets would surely be unraveled inside this Dark Palace.

The intact Demon Puppet replied in a low voice, ”Master of Ten Thousand Beasts, please come inside with us...”

With that said, the six Demon Puppets turned and walked in together, and Sikong Jing stepped into the palace without a trace of hesitation.

And just as he stepped inside, his pupils once again shrank violently...

He saw chaos all over the interior of the palace: rubble and even broken corpses, the floor itself split apart, and the corpses were not human but all Demon Puppets... It seemed this place had gone through a terrifying battle.

Looking again at the five Demon Puppets with incomplete bodies, they were likely the survivors of that terrifying battle.

”It seems Black Demon originally forged more than just six Demon Puppets. There were many... but now only six still move, and only one remains intact.”

Sikong Jing quietly sucked in a cold breath, then continued to follow the Demon Puppets deeper into the palace.
