Berserk God of War

Chapter 1488: Chapter 1488: Parting Ways, Nothing More Than Strangers

After staring at Yang Yi blankly for a few moments, Tie Ti’er quickly said, ”Brother Yang, don’t worry, Brother Sikong was involved because of me...”

To this, Yang Yi interrupted again with a smile...

”The good intentions of Tie Saintess are understood by both myself and the Yao Residence.”

”However, we have indeed caused a lot of unnecessary trouble for the Sacred Canggu Peak. If you suffer casualties because of us, both myself and Brother Sikong will feel guilty about it, so we bid farewell.”

”Thanks again to the Sacred Canggu Peak and Tie Saintess for the care along the way.”

Saying this, Yang Yi turned back to the hundred people of the Yao Residence without saying more, then Weng Ting, Hua Meixi, and others also thanked Tie Ti’er and without any reluctance, turned and left.

Watching Yang Yi and the others support each other to leave, Tie Ti’er hurriedly called again, ”Brother Yang...”

Still not finished speaking, Yang Yi interrupted for the third time, saying, ”Tie Saintess, no need to worry about us, Brother Sikong will soon join us, perhaps we can fight side by side in the Han District.”

Having said that, Yang Yi thanked Tie Ti’er once more and genuinely left with the crowd.

Tie Ti’er opened her mouth, still wanting to say something.

But by this time, she was already blocked by the awakened disciples of Sacred Canggu Peak, one Canggu female genius said, ”Junior Sister Saintess, if they don’t leave, we might really face deaths next.”

”Indeed, there might be several Middle and Upper Stage Emperor-grade forces waiting for us ahead.”

”At that time, not only will their Yao Residence people die, but we will all die too.”

”Only if they leave will no one dare risk attacking us, allowing us to reach the Han District smoothly.”

One by one, the disciples of Sacred Canggu Peak continually stopped Tie Ti’er, absolutely not allowing her to keep Yang Yi and the others.

If the Saintess insists on keeping them and they shamelessly stay, it will be troublesome...

Senior Brother Zheng’s words just now were what most disciples of Sacred Canggu Peak wanted to say.

It was just because of the circumstances and the Saintess’s determination that they hadn’t spoken until now, and conveniently Senior Brother Zheng vented because he was injured, and conveniently Yang Yi and the others had enough sense to bid farewell...

Now, naturally, they must persuade the Saintess.

”Saintess, I know you feel sorry for Sikong Jing, but remember the bigger picture.”

”Our goal this time is the Chaotic First Zone, not to fight strongly against Qianwang Holy Tower.”

”After the Chaotic First Zone is over, we can find a way to give the Yao Residence a portion of the Hanyi District’s territory.”

The Canggu disciples continued to persuade...

And Tie Ti’er, being young after all, could not hold her ground in martial arts against everyone; for a moment, she was bewildered by their words, and could only watch helplessly as Yang Yi and the others disappeared completely.

Seeing this, a Canggu Sky King Realm genius quickly said, ”Let’s go, Saintess, if Sikong Jingzhen really has so many Emperor’s Artifacts, giving each Yao Residence person one should easily protect their lives.”

Under such clamorous persuasion, Tie Ti’er was ultimately moved by everyone’s words, turning towards the direction of the Han District.

Yet she felt very, very uncomfortable inside, feeling guilty towards Sikong Jing.

On the other hand, upon reflection, what everyone said wasn’t unreasonable. If she continued to stay with the Yao Residence people, the disciples of Sacred Canggu Peak might suffer casualties, and she would also feel guilty at that time...

She was truly at a loss now.

And the Canggu disciples exchanged a look, each breathed a sigh of relief, some even gave Senior Brother Zheng a big thumbs up, as they finally wouldn’t need to lead a large group of encumbrances in tow.

As they proceeded a certain distance, indeed there was an ambush ahead.

However, the ambushers were surprised: ”Sacred Canggu Peak actually parted ways with Yao Residence people, haha... looks like Sacred Canggu Peak is also afraid of being burdened by Yao Residence, let’s quickly find the Yao Residence people.”

There were many ambushers, and as the Canggu disciples said...

Since Sacred Canggu Peak no longer had Yao Residence people in tow, naturally no one would risk attacking them anymore.

Instead, they scattered around, searching for the Yao Residence people.

”Hehe, killing them now is like slaughtering chickens, what rewards will Young Master Pei give us for a hundred Yao Residence heads?”

”The heads of Yao Residence people are just minor issues, the next step is to capture Yao Residence people to lure out Sikong Jing, that fellow is like he can turn invisible, always elusive...”

”Indeed, with Yao Residence people in hand, let’s see if that boy dares continue hiding.”

The voices above grew as they saw Sacred Canggu Peak acting alone, causing many geniuses who had given up chasing Sikong Jing to return hoping to seize the treasures on Sikong Jing.

As long as they capture Yao Residence people, the Ultimate Emperor Weapon and dozens of Emperor’s Artifacts are within reach.

...

On the other side, Yang Yi and the others helped each other sneak into a deserted small hill in the Chaotic First Zone.

They all sat down to heal, not one of them looked very good.

At this moment, Hua Meixi spoke with self-deprecation, ”I was ready to unleash my full power in the next battle, to help Sacred Canggu Peak overcome each difficulty on the way...”

She had yet to fully unleash her Eighth Grade Battle Body along the way, saving it as a trump card to eliminate some conceited geniuses.

But now, she no longer had the opportunity to showcase that alongside the Sacred Canggu Peak people in battle.

Before encountering truly tough opponents, Yao Residence had already been kicked out...

Hearing these words, Zhang Duiyin spoke with indignation, ”Sacred Canggu Peak, utterly unreasonable.”

”They’re hiding like turtles and won’t let others be strong?”

”Do they really think they can reconcile with Qianwang Holy Tower? And all along treating us as mere encumbrances. We’re indeed not strong enough, but Junior Brother Sikong is strong enough.”

”Moreover, it was clearly them who involved us first, and in the end, they say we treat them as support, infuriating!”

No one was angrier than Zhang Duiyin; all because she responded to Pei Yuzheng with just one sentence, they kept giving her dirty looks along the way.

Just then, even that Senior Brother Zheng directly accused a woman; how could she feel comfortable?

If not for Tie Ti’er’s sake, Zhang Duiyin would have certainly lashed out at them on the spot.

Seeing his furious sister, Zhang Duiyi sighed, ”It’s just human nature, aside from Tie Saintess, others feel that leading us to the Chaotic First Zone is already a great favor.”

At this, Zhang Duiyi’s lips curled into a faintly mocking smile.

Just as Zhang Duiyin said, the matter of Sikong Jing as the mysterious black-clad youth hasn’t been exposed yet; he is targeted by Pei Yuzheng purely because of Tie Ti’er, taking care of Yao Residence people is what they should do.

However, the Canggu disciples use the later bounty event as an excuse and keep slighting the Yao Residence people...

Simply put, the high and mighty major forces are driven by their selfish desire to preserve their own lives.

Weng Ting and Yang Yi also nodded with a wry smile, they could understand the reaction of Sacred Canggu Peak people.

After all, the troubles along the way were indeed numerous, but understanding is one thing...

If Sacred Canggu Peak could lead them to Han District, Yao Residence people would certainly fight alongside Sacred Canggu Peak at the risk of their lives, but now... they’re just strangers.

Since they’ve abandoned the Yao Residence people, the Yao Residence people won’t help them in the future anymore.

Excluding Tie Ti’er, the involvement of Yao Residence people with Sacred Canggu Peak ends here.

”Simply put, we’re just not strong enough, which is why we’re looked down upon. We must strive to become stronger.”

No longer talking about Sacred Canggu Peak, Yang Yi deeply said, ”Next, we must fight on our own; Brother Sikong should soon come to us; before that, we must hold on.”
