My Youth Began With Him

“She’s a clone; I’m the original… So, Mian, I’m your mother, not her.”

Lin Ya looked back with a smile and said to Huo Mian slowly.

“Clone?” Huo Mian said the word in disbelief, feeling as if she was in a sci-fi movie.

When she was a medical student, she loved to study high-tech stuff.

All she knew about clone technology was the world-famous clone sheep Dolly which was the first female sheep created by cloning technology; it was the first cloned animal in the whole world.

Dolly was cloned from an adult cell with nuclear transfer technology.

In other words, one cell from a human could be nurtured into a new individual resembling the original body.

But this technology was only experimented on animals and never on humans.

Besides, the research on human cloning was prohibited as an anti-human practice in all the countries in the world.

So, when she heard about human clones from Lin Ya, she was stupefied.

“Yes. Mian, you’re smart and must know how cutting-edge technology cloning is…”

“If you’re the original person, why did you… separate from Dad and leave him with your

clone?”

Huo Mian found a loophole in the story instantly…

“I’ll explain it to you later… You only need to know you’re my daughter, not the clone’s daughter.”

Seeing the confusion in Huo Mian’s eyes, Lin Ya knew Huo Mian didn’t believe what she said.

“Mian, after the explosion, I brought you here and performed a surgery to keep you and the baby safe… Doesn’t that make you trust me?”

“Where’s Leila? I’m here but where did Leila go?”

Huo Mian demanded.

Lin Ya was surprised that Huo Mian could still keep her head clear.

“Leila went to your home.”

“What?”

Hearing her words, Huo Mian’s heart sank…

The psycho woman resembling her went to her home? What did she want to do?

“What on earth do you guys want? What on earth do you guys want?”

Anxiously, Huo Mian demanded while panting.

“Mian, don’t worry. Leila won’t hurt your children… They are my grandchildren after all. I just sent her to test Qin Chu.”

“Test… Qin Chu?”

Huo Mian found the idea ridiculous.

“Yes. Child, you’re blinded by love and abandoned your good gift… It’s not worth it. You must know love is not trustworthy. In this world, love is just a lie; men change. Qin Chu loves you now, but in a few years when you get older and lose your beauty, he’ll not love you anymore. Leila isn’t you; she just has your face. But he couldn’t see the difference and took her as you… He even slept with Leila like husband and wife.”

“Impossible. Don’t lie to me… Qin Chu and I know each other as well as we know ourselves. All the people in the world might not be able to tell us apart, but Qin Chu can.”

Lin Ya’s words didn’t anger Huo Mian; instead, Huo Mian’s head became clearer.
